Earlier this year around February we first experience Melrose Mansion. Our experience has some problems mainly the receptionist who forgot to check us in and left for the day and the rest of the stay he was rude to us.I forgot if his name is Brian or Caleb.it was a bit of a nightmare not having hot water in Donecio room.I gave this hotel another chance and found out Roomza is managing this property. The pre-arrival registration was so easy and efficient. The guest portal to accommodate my needs during stay was the cherry on top! Dyson products available upon request?! I was in cloud 9! I was able to request the Dyson airwrap! That was one of the best luxury options you can get from the portal. LeShawn (I hope o didn’t butcher his name) who welcomed us upon arrival made us feel the southern hospitality.He gave us a quick history of the mansion (which we didn’t get the first time we stayed here). The place is remarkably cleaner this time and the wide array of breakfast selection is so much better than before. The water pressure has definitely gone up a notch since we last stayed here. A lot of improvements since Feb 2024. Also,I wanna add how nice the cleaners were. I also wanna add the Italian toothpaste,warm robes,silk bonnet,mouthwash and the viennese coffee was perfect! Unlimited snacks and drinks too! I can’t wait to come back to New Orleans! I’m claiming this hotel my home in NoLa. What a wonderful stay!

An absolutely beautiful old mansion! We were greeted with a nice bottle of wine in our room. Water and soda available either in our room or the main kitchen. However, our TV remote didn’t work and it took them 24 hours to replace it. The area rug in our room was gross. Easy to replace I would think along with the rug in the main hallway, you had to lift your suitcase over the edge of it. A very convenient location and just a short walk to bourbon st. I would stay there again.

Fantastic property with a lot of history. Really enjoyed our stay and felt like the staff cared about our experience. The only negative feedback I have is we stayed in the room in the pool area and at one point the lobby door was locked and the pool room was locked so from what I could tell we were effectively locked into our room and pool area. Thankfully someone was in the pool room/breakfast area and unlocked it for us. Had nobody been in there I would have been late for photos for my brother's wedding. But I think it was genuinely an accident. Also there were no bottles of water provided. In a city that has water boil advisories I don't care to drink tap water. Even if I had to pay for them I'd be happy but they had literally none on the property. I had to walk to a convenience store about 8min away at midnight to get some water. Our fridge had sodas and sparkling water but I would much rather have normal still water even if it was Kirkland brand. That said, I will stay here again. The "negative" feedback is mostly my hopes that the management will see it and make adjustments. My brother who visits NOLA very often and always stays in an Airbnb came to our hotel room while his bride was getting married and was shocked by how nice it was and how little we paid and said he'll be staying at Melrose next time. Stay here, but unless things change grab some waters first!

The room I was in was very nice and big. The problem was that it was in a separate building behind the main mansion building. And I was on the street level. There was a door 5-feet from my bed that I thought was a closet door but was actually a door to the street. And New Orleans is noisy and has foot traffic all night. When I realized the situation, I was a bit shook up. I did not fall asleep until all the street activity and talking stopped around 3 am. I did not feel completely safe and was not the room I would stay in again. But the people in the main house were nice and friendly.

Staff was loud in the early morning just about 05.00, Lamp was broken in the room. Cleaning staff dont speak english if you put the "make my room tag" they wont clean because they dont understand the meaning of it.

I love traveling places that feel like a step back in time without losing modern day necessities. The mansion has been well maintained. It was such a tranquil, relaxing experience. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Brian was great! He greeted us upon arrival and made sure our room was setup to our liking. Later in our stay he checked in again to make sure we were still satisfied and didn't need anything. Although the location is not in the center of action in the quarter, it's a short walking distance to everything. I love being tucked away when I don't want to be right in the middle of the action. I'll definitely return for my next trip to NOLA!

The mansion is beautiful but the room we stayed in was noisy and bright. We could not sleep with how bright the room was and around 1a a motorcycle with a stereo rolled by and it woke us up. We eventually left for other accommodations in the middle of the night.

The hotel was nice and offered a really good free breakfast. The parking was very limited only 5 or 6 spots with first come first serve. Most guest parked and never left, so we had to find street parking. The room description said there was a mini fridge, but there wasn’t. I asked the front desk about the fridge but was told they didn’t have any. We had to go to Walgreens and purchase a cooler to keep our food and beverages cold. Other than that, we had a nice stay. Very close to Frenchman Street, and a short walk to Bourbon.

This hotel was amazing! From the time we checked in we were provided with the best customer service by Bryan. He was so attentive, funny and helpful and all around great guy. He provided us with some history of the hotel which was a beautiful old mansion that had been renovated and tips on restaurants in the area. He also provided us with little nice touches like satin pillowcases, free drinks, free parking and even provided a Dyson hair blower upon request. Bryan’s customer service was top notch which made the hotel an even more memorable experience for us. The room Bryan gave us was beautiful and the pool lovely after a long day in the heat. Thanks again for your help Bryan we will definitely be coming back and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This place exceeded my expectations. I was looking to stay in a place alluding to the New Orleans period of history and I was not wrong. The mansion is in perfect condition. With space for breakfast, which in fact the breakfast was very good and super complete!!! The best we tried during our trip out of the 3 places we stayed. It had a gym, an area to do yoga, a pool which was a plus with the heat that it was, we arrived hot from walking and being able to cool off here was great. The staff was super attentive. We had snacks and water at our disposal. The guy who received us was super cool and by the way we thank him for suggesting us to eat at Muriels restaurant, he was not wrong. In general I give it a 10 out of 10 for everything. From the service to the amenities. I fell in love with the mansion and I hope if I return to this area to stay here again.

We had the best time! It was exactly what we wanted in a stay. Very quiet and at times had the pool to ourselves. The staff was very courteous and instinctive about our every need. The property is beautiful and in a quaint part of the city, within walking distance of Frenchman Street and the Quarter. We stayed in the jacuzzi room and enjoyed every moment of it and surprised by its extra space.

Best experience ever. World Class stay. Everything was premium. Shampoo, Body wash, Conditioner, Mattresses, Beverages and snacks unlimited, Complementary parking yes you hear me. Amazing breakfast included with all the drinks you can imagine. Best area in French Quarter. The host was spectacular and makes us feel not just welcome but as family in the mansion. To be even more the pool is private and 24 hrs. Roomza congratulations keep it that way and you will have a loyalty clientele.

We really enjoyed ourselves at the Melrose Mansion first of all I love the old fashioned look yes there's some things that need possible updates but it's literally a old fashioned Mansion LOL to be expected but it's absolutely stunning, the people that work there are extremely friendly and very welcoming and anytime we needed anything they took care of it they even brought us snacks and fresh towels and seltzer Waters! Even when we didn't think we could find parking at like 4 am, they got us a spot available just for us. we had the Domenico room with the balcony soaking tub beautiful high ceilings comfortable bed it was great the refrigerator comes stocked with beverages that you don't have to pay for, they have tons of snacks ready downstairs for you just to grab and they keep refilling the refrigerator you can get pop water fruit snacks seltzer water chips all kinds of stuff at no cost to you also the pool at night is absolutely beautiful it feels so good we spent like 4 hours out there until like 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. we will definitely return!!!! Also the morning breakfast is Catered from next door it is so good! if you're thinking about it just do it!!!!! everything is walking distance and our parking was free!!!!!! Best locations and bang for ur buck. Do it! 💯

I had to stand out in the rain the front door locked pounded and rang bell no response. Had to call customer service. Toilet didn’t work. $25 each for using shampoo, conditioner, robe. Breakfast poor buffet. Bathtub great though. Too expensive for what I got

They're going through ownership change... Brian at the front desk was so helpful. Hot daily breakfast cooked at Buffa's. The propert is really 3 buildings. The mansion house, the back house, Napoleon, and the 4 story 1700s house, which had the slowest elevator in New Orleans! The rooms were a good size, but our friends in the Napoleonic King room didn't have a fridge. The pool is fantastic! They do need a few more pool loungers. The key situation is nerve-wracking because it's 1 key fob per room... upgrading that to a bracelet fob for each guest would be a huge bonus. The room was spacious and the AC worked well. The condo-style rooms only have 1 chair for the living room. need a love seat at a minimum...these were rooms 4B and 3B. I would recommend this hotel for a great stay, close to, but not in the French Quarter. Very near Frenchman Street too.

With so many good hotel options in New Orleans, Melrose Mansion was a fantastic surprise. Private free parking, excellent location near the busiest part but a paradise, big room , nice swimming pool, free breakfast and light drinks!! Not very common in USA… the staff fantastic. We remember the sympathy and friendly Brian… always there!! We will be back even from very far as we are in Europe… thanks a lot for such an experience!!
