I made a good choice considering it was my first trip to Iceland and I picked it from online choices based on reviews. I was not disappointed. Before I arrived, staff from the hotel assisted me in arranging my transfer from the airport to the hotel and my tours during my visit. Then the hotel staff on site helped me complete my currency exchange and book my transfer back to the airport.

Last night in Iceland, just needed a hotel room. Comfy bed, small shower. Would be ok as a base for exploring this part of Iceland
4.2
The parking was really expensive but the hotel and breakfast was great
4.2
We found the room to be quite spacious and included a small living/sitting room area. Nice that the room had a mini fridge as well. No complaints during our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful.
4.2
Not a fan of this hotel or the staff. Parking was absolutely horrible. The site said they have parking. It is extremely limited. There were 4 parking spots in P3 and the rest was unavailable due to construction. I would say the only thing I enjoyed was the location.
4.2
The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable!
The property is very basic, but it was clean and convenient to downtown.

Ok experience. Slow check in service. Breakfast good,

Hotel was in excellent central location , good spacious rooms , good breakfast

Location is excellent. Near shopping, restaurants, transportation, and waterfront. Breakfast is a highlight with broad spectrum of offerings…meats, cheeses, juices, coffees, pastries, fruits, cereals, etc. The skyr was particularly good. The room is clean, efficient and very comfortable. Cleaning is at the occupants option when needed. Pleasant staff.
4.2
Room was okay. No mini fridge and very small. Location was good.
4.2
The hotel is at a good place but it was disappointing that there was no free parking next to the hotel. we had to take the car away from the hotel to find a space for free. In the room no dedicated space for shoes and jackets, no fridge and the shower head is a fixed one that is just not convenient. on the other hand the hotel is easy to find and on a good location, we managed to find several restaurants in the area. Staff was also friendly.

Fosshotel Baron is fine for a reasonably priced stay in Reykjavik. It was clean, the staff was pleasant and helpful. They do not have a restaurant but do serve (self service) a good hot and cold breakfast. They are not far from restaurants - within less than 15 minute walk. The fancier restaurants are farther downtown. My room was very simple. There is a flat-screen tv, coffee maker and a hair dryer. The bathroom was interesting - supplied with a squeegee which I wondered about at first. The shower is not separated and the floor wasn't slanted toward the drain so nearly half the bathroom floor gets wet. Really wet. They need to put some kind of short barrier in. For a traveler like myself who doesn't require a great deal of amenities, the hotel was fine. I do wish they had a restaurant.

The toilet is a joke.
4.2
Hotel is very old feeling and in need of a refresh. Staff were helpful. Very clean. Loud area of the city. Major construction going on RIGHT next door.
4.2
Great hotel close to waterfront. We traveled as a family and got a 2 bedroom apartment. Balcony with water view. Walkable to shops and restaraunts.
4.2
Did not like that parking was extra.
4.2
Helpful staff, central part of Reykjavik, good beakfast.
4.2
No free parking and shower was too small compared to others.
4.2
This hotel is very centrally located and was great for us. We did not have a car and were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel is older but very well kept.
4.2
Well located hotel, comfortable rooms. It was just a quick one night overnight, so I didn't have a chance to use any of the facilities. But the staff were great (Muhammad on front desk especially) in helping to provide information and making transportation arrangements.
4.2
The family suite is a great option for families traveling with children

Best location

Good - location and opportunity to park but paid. Toilet was outdated . Hotel still uses keys instead of smart cards,
4.2
It was a very nice breakfast and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Close to great shops and pubs
4.2
Overall, a good hotel within walking distance of downtown Reykjavik. The hotel has only one elevator, which unfortunately operates very slowly. The breakfast was excellent.
4.2
Very nice hotel, our room was spacious and very close to a shopping street and the emblematic church. Right in front of the seaside and close to the voyager. Would stay there again
4.2
Nicer hotel with exceptional customer service. Room was very spacious and we had a two room suite with our children and ourselves. No air conditioning as we expected that in Iceland. They graciously offered us fans because it was warm for us. Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed having breakfast each morning in the hotel.
4.2
Loved this apartment like hotel with a balcony that had terrific views. Weekend was perfect, week day had construction noise, but that should be completed soon. Wonderful location and great space.
4.2
Good location and closed to most of the tourists attractions
4.2
This is a fine hotel, but we stayed during major construction and the hotel itself was hard to get around with wheelie suitcases (hallways are not smooth, there are large wooden dividers along the floor at doorways). Also the shower had the worst water pressure I have ever had in a hotel. Breakfast was awesome. We had to pay for parking which seemed a bit weird for a hotel, it is in an area with no free street parking. All in all, this was everyone's least favorite hotel on our two week trip!
4.2
This hotel was in a reasonable area, But has not been maintained. The room I was in literally had a square hole cut out of the carpet. The size of the room was adequate, The bathroom has not been updated in many years. Parking is a problem. The staff was helpful
4.2
Friendly staff-cute bar in lobby
4.2
nice
4.2
Decent location, but the hotel needs refurbishing. Carpets stained, bathroom ancient, and windows barely functional
4.2
Was a great place to stay! They let us check in early which was a life saver, and everything us was great. Only thing to keep in mind, parking can be a bit expensive to be aware of that

Good stuff:
Eco-friendly: housekeeping on request only, separate bins for bottles, paper and general waste. Takes getting used to, but found that daily housekeeping is not essential.
Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, linen and towels.
Clean and tidy restaurant and food area. Breakfast has a good variety of foods, tasty breads, boiled eggs peeled and sliced, many types of fruits and nuts. Skyr exceptionally good.
Good quiet location close to the water, walking distance to public transit, shopping, restaurants and most museums. Grocery store behind the hotel.
Not so good:
No hooks in bathroom to hang towels/clothes, shelf over the small sink too low, so a challenge to avoid hitting forehead. Shower stall small, with not bars or rails to hold onto. Could be dangerous as the wraparound shower curtain would not stop a fall.
In spite of the bathroom, we had a wonderful stay at this property. A bit pricey, but everything is somewhat expensive in this mesmerizing country.

We stayed 5 nights in June. The front desk staff were really helpful and very friendly. Check in/out was easy. We didn’t opt for breakfast at the property but heard good reviews from other guests. The bar/coffee at the front desk was very convenient.
10 minute walk to bus stop 12, the departure point for tours and 2 blocks from main shopping area. Easy to walk to most attractions and restaurants.
The only negative was with the shower. The surface of the drain pan was very slippery.
4.2
The staff is extremely accommodating and goes out of their way to make the trip a pleasant one. I would return to the hotel because of the unusually wonderful staff. Rooms are spacious if basic. Small bathroom. Generous breakfast.
