People in the next room were so loud, they kept us awake all night. We checked out a day earlier than planned.

We always love staying here. Its in our home town and sometimes we just need a night away to ourselves and this is our go to place. Always exceptional customer service, cozy and clean

Nice place. Room was clean but bottom of jacuzzi tub looked dirty, we did not use it. We stayed four nights and I asked for room service/cleaning after night two. Didn't happen and complained to night shift manager who said he would handle. Next day came back after a day out and again no cleaning service done. Talked to night shift manager who was appalled and recommended we discuss with dayshift manager
which we did when checking out. Complete lack of accountability of dayshift manager and poor handling. Quite annoyed and won't go back. Suggest you consider other places.

It was great: large jacuzzi, fireplace even a double shower. Room was very clean! Staff was very friendly and helpful!

I’m a 35+ year traveler. The
Weathervane Inn is an exceptional place to stay. Always great service. Always clean, well-appointed rooms with extras not expected—like deck views, hot tubs, fireplaces in their rooms. The setting is very pleasant, quiet and close to most anything a traveler needs. It’s on a lake…it has an extraordinary grocery store across the street…the town, a village, really, is next door. The Weathervane is a “come-back-to” place, time and again. If I can get a room, I won’t stay anywhere else!

Fabulous place! Highly recommend!

Quaint motel by the water across a supermarket. Walkable.

I'll be back. It was wonderful get away

We went to ride bikes in the area. This is a great property in an ideal location to go north or south on different trails. Scenic property next to a yacht club. They really do a good job with this property. We will go back.

Beautiful ! Fireplace in room overlooking white lake walkable to everything you need
Front desk exceptional !

Room was spacious and clean! Loved the overall setting. Carpets needed some spot cleaning in common areas. We were unable to view our tv as we don’t have any streaming services/apps to connect, so that was disappointing.

Toilet overflowed & kinda noisy.

Hidden gem just down the street from town and minutes from the beach. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

It was a great stay very friendly and was a very nice room.

We were there for a wedding. The nicest staff and cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. The fresh baked cookies were a nice touch too!

Been here several times best place to stay if you asked me for anything in a hour radios!
4.5
Room with jacuzzi was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
4.5
I did not like that Expedia entered an extra fee of $22 on top of my total bill.
4.5
The stay was wonderful – – I was not happy to see a $25 charge with Expedia. I will never do that again.

Had no idea what to expect in a small town but this was better than a high priced chain!! On the waterfront with beautiful balcony on the water, roomy and anything you could need. Jacuzzi tub the size of a hot tub, double shower heads with wonderful water pressure, microwave, fridge and a much bigger than expected TV. We will definitely be back!

The staff were amazing here. The cookies were awesome. We loved our stay here!

Everyone that worked there was great and personable. Great place to stay within walking distance to many breweries, ice cream and food!!!

Standard room assigned to me was not the Deluxe room reserved through Expedia. Staff explained that Expedia did not designate the room paid for as being Deluxe, and there was nothing they could do since they were fully booked. Room was directly off the lobby/front entrance and was not quiet. The Jacuzzi noice from nearby rooms was very annoying. However, it was not noticed after 10:15pm.

Good hotel

Walking distance to downtown and view of the lake. The whole place is in disrepair and needs a renovation. Breakfast was not great.

Convientnto the bike path. Loved the fish tank!

It was a little older but kept clean.

Entry was nice clean and refreshing. No odors in lobby. Room was clean and smelled great as well. Only turn off was that the let out mattress cover was a bit disgusting. Clean mattress bedding was provided in the room for us to put on top of the not so clean mattress cover. I had one kiddo who decided to forgo the let out and bunk with me after seeing the mattress cover. Everything else was great! Staff was helpful, welcoming and kind. Would recommend. We were on the lower level. Keep in mind that there are no elevators to assist with upper level rooms. Guests will have to take the stairs.

The weathervane and was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. The bed was super comfortable.
Unfortunately we were only there for one night. It was a last-minute booking because we just needed a place to stay along our route. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We got in after midnight, but I had called prior to make sure they knew we were coming. There was an issue with payment from the Hotels.com side so I just had them charge the room to my credit card. By the time I got up for breakfast, the issue was already resolved and the charge was reversed on my credit card.
We definitely plan to go back And stay a couple nights.

I chose this property because of the lakeview and dog friendly aspect. The initial check in process was the best Ive experienced in a while. Very friendly gentleman who offered suggestions of where to eat and shop and he was also able to provide other amenities we forgot at home! Fresh cookies at check in was a nice touch. We did pay for each of our two dogs , as I expected, but I think the first dog should be free. The balcony on the first floor has shade from the sun and faces a yacht club dock/bay. Our Friday stay was generally quiet and peaceful. There is a biking/walking path right next door along with a farmers market on the weekend. Montague is walkable with a few restaurant/bar options. The only negative aspects were the bed could use a mattress topper as it was quite slouchy with two adults sleeping on it. The price for a weekend stay seems to be typically in the $300 range. A bit overpriced. Free breakfast was ok. Your typical cold foods. Overall Id stay here again.

I liked the view, which would have been better if the windows were clean and not fogged. The room was much smaller than depicted. It was also wayyy overpriced.

Loved the jacuzzi tub!! Beautiful lake view. Yummy breakfast options!! Clean!!! Will definitely stay here again

The hotel is very clean. Staff is friendly. Is conveniently located near the charter fishing dock

We drove from Ohio to check out Michigan’s beaches/lakes and chose the Montague area. The Weathervane Inn is an adorable place to stay near their downtown area and only about a 15 minute drive to Medbury park beach, which was also beautiful! The balcony view overlooking the boat docks was a great choice. Perfect for morning and evening relaxation. The in room jacuzzi was also a hit with the family. Loved the two shower heads in the shower as well. For an older place, it is kept clean with some nice updates. The only issue was the bed was a little too firm for me, but really wasn’t that big of a deal. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful and provided us with extra towels when asked!

This was a charming place to stay for the price. The check in person was a little grumpy but other than that it was nice. OOOOHHH also, they could do better with the breakfast. Maybe a little fresh fruit & not so many carbs for the breakfast offering.

I wanted to personally let you know of an experience that has left me disheartened about staying at the Weathervane Inn. My boyfriend and I were treated like second class citizens at check-in. There was a noticeable change in the attendant’s demeanor at check in. There was white couple was in front of us at check in. Even though I smiled and said hello we were not greeted with warmth or kindness like the couple before. They were guaranteed a “beautiful room” and personally given a list of things to do in the area. Me and my boyfriend were not treated as nearly as warm. We were coldly told our room number and given our keys to a room. We were asked three times if we had pets or smoked. We do not. We had to ask to change room as it overlooked the dumpster. The room we were very coldly to we could have overlooked green muck. I was so excited to come here since I’ve seen your hotel on Groupon in March. It’s saddening to think that in 2024 my boyfriend and I receive sub par treatment due to maybe the lack of diversity in your customer base. We felt very uncomfortable and won’t be returning.

This is a nice place to stay, and we would stay again…but I will say I didn’t think it was worth what we paid for. The breakfast was extremely limited, when I see continental breakfast I expect some different options but it was really limited. There doesn’t seem to be much insulation, we could hear things happening in several of the other rooms…We also had a large strip of carpet missing in our room? There was some other small cosmetic things too, nothing crazy….i just expected more quality at the price we paid
4.5
Our room was comfortable, clean, with the lake view balcony, chairs and table. The staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of trails for walking to restaurants and bars close by. We would stay again if in the area.
4.5
Rooms were good sized, with a jacuzzi and deck overlooking the water. Despite being on the water, with many of the boats docked right outside our room, the area was quiet at night and we were not woke up in the middle of the night by noisy guest.
