I can Highly rekommend. Great location and Bert charming

the atmosphere of the big old art deco hotels; still renovating, which makes a big difference between new and old places

Once an elegant property, is now very tired and dated. Its badged up as BW on the marketing material, however there is no sign of BW on the entrance, nor is it up to BW normal standards.
The property is in need of immediate upgrading.
Now the positives:
The staff were all amazing and could not do enough.
The pool is excellent.
Room 234 has a fantastic balcony, with all day sun and fantastic sea/mountain views. (Definitely worth paying the premium price for)
The shabby chic feel is very attractive in the reception, dining area and main lobby,
The rooms however are not so.
After speaking with one member of staff i was made aware that BW had only owned the property for 6 months and had "Grand plans", which included a conference centre, health spa, full upgrade of all the rooms etc, which, is needed, but i hope not at the determent of the lobby's interior.

Truly a Grand Hotel of its era... still is partially and could be completely again - and maybe will now that BW are taking it on. Super pool area including snack/bar but it feels that fewer staff results in fewer facilities and options for guests?

Nice village, close to the beach and a hotel with charm! The breakfast is too expensive and there were not enough plugs in the room to charge my laptop and cell phone but overall a nice place to be!!!!

We spent 1 night in this hotel on our way to Provence. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden and has an amazing pool. We loved the bell’epoque feeling of the lobby and our fantastic room (privilege) with a private balcony and unobstructed sea view. Super quiet, super clean and very comfortable, although - yes - the rooms might need some renovation (especially bathroom and balcony fences). The restaurants were still closed as it was low season but we had a good breakfast in the wonderful terrace.

I am sure that this hotel must have elegant and beautiful in its hay day but that time has past and this ole grand dame of a hotel is now just a tired old hotel in need of makeover and renovation. The location is ideal and the view was wonderful. The parking under the pines was both easy and convenient. Upon check we along with a free other guests had to wait about 15-20 minutes until the front desk person arrived from another part of the hotel. Our room had a wonderful view and a nice breeze when you opened the large doors. Once opened the peeling railing and rotting wood doors were exposed. Both were in need of more than just a coat of paint. The room decor was clean but dated the bed and linens were extremely comfy. The bathroom was awful it was dull and had no resemblance to the bathroom pictured on the website. There were pipes sticking out of the wall where something used to be ??? The Shower was broken and only the handheld shower head was working. All in all I was happy with the hotel because of the view location and the comfy bed and free parking but I can’t honestly recommend it because of the condition it is currently in. It would take a huge renovation budget to fix all that is wrong with it but that is what it would take to bring it back to it glory.

This is a very old establishment which is reminiscent of better times. The decor is dated yet comfortable but the problem during our stay was that the guests who were staying there were second best to the groups which had booked seminars etc. They took over the restaurant and breakfast room and the individually booked guests like ourselves were unable to use the restaurant , and breakfast was in a very overcrowded bar and a lounge which had had the furniture removed and tables and chairs set up in a very overcrowded space. Set up for the seminars took place during breakfast this morning which involved tables and chairs being rearranged during breakfast. A pity but we were made to feel inferior to the seminar/meeting guests. If you are booking here find out if there are seminars during your stay. There were three during our five day stay. The room itself was large and comfortable, but very outdated with chipped paintwork and rusted bathroom fittings. Having said that, the bed was comfortable and the views and location were first class.

This place and town was very quaint. If we go back to France and were in this area we definitely would go/stay here again.

Hotel is conveniently located within a two minute walk to the beach.
Whilst the hotel is older and shows signs of age it has been well maintained and has character and charm.
Hotel was clean and bed was comfortable, gardens are beautiful.
Staff were very helpful and served some food and drinks despite us arriving at midnight.

The hotel has almost 130 years of history and it looked a bit old and tiring but the location and staff were GREAT! We also got a surprise upgrade to two ocean view rooms with balcony! Breakfast was also good with variety of meats, fruits, juices and cafe. It only took 5 min. walking to the beach area lined up with restaurants. I would stay there again!

Hotel staff very enthusiastic to please. some requests eg. repair safe which was faulty not attended to in 2 days. Additional Tissues asked for , not supplied, no explanation.
We stayed one extra night due to miss calculation, this was not picked up by the staff until we booked out after the 8th night. Luckily our room had not been pre booked by another traveller.
The Hotel is getting very tired in its appearance..

Faded elegance but grows on you. The hotel must have been magnificent in its day but the ambiance is unique and the pool and grounds were beautiful. Staff nice but not always around - sometimes this was a good thing providing peace and quiet,

Overall the hotel was in an great position but was it was all very tired. The outside needed painting and cleaning up. The room, which had great view over the gardens to the sea, was clean and the beds were comfortable but it very tired and dated. The common areas were the same. Breakfast was fine but the tea and coffee on 2/3 morning was only lukewarm. The staff were very helpful. The pool area was good but the pool shower did not work and looked as though it had not worked for some time. The outside areas overall were untidy with chairs and table and other pieces of furniture left on odd positions around the area.
The other thing we were surprised about is were charged 9 euros per day plus tax for parking the car in the hotel grounds despite the grounds and parking areas being extensive and unused We were not made aware of this charge until we checked out.

great place with newly renovated rooms. close to beach. hard to find even with GPS.

Roosting pigeons, bathrooms which smell of mildew, and peeling paint. Stay here if you're going to only sleep here.

Rather faded grandeur at first glance but we had nice rooms with balconies overlooking the bay. It is quietly set back from the road with gardens and a well kept pool. The breakfast buffet was fine and could be taken on a veranda overlooking the sea. The staff were very helpful when we needed to scan and send a document by e-mail.

Old hôtel , not renovated since 1950. Rooms very small and noisy
Bathroom extra small.
Restaurant excellent with a nice team.
Beautifull location .
This hôtel should be a 1 * for the quality and the global aspect.

Wonderful location and great service. The hotel may have seen better days and could do with a bit of decorating and updating. However, the staff were really friendly, the food and drinks (especially the selection of local bandol wine) were excellent and the beach a stone's throw away so very hard to complain!

We stayed at this hotel twice during the past several years. It is not the best hotel around but very reasonably priced.
Overall, the money was well spent and we do not have major complaints. The swimming pool is clean and nice.

Great location, grounds and pool. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room rather "tired" in terms of decor / furnishings. We would certainly return.
