We went to Köln for 2 days of stay. The reception service was quite good and polite. The room was clean and the location of the Hotel is very good. If we go again, I will probably stay here again.

It was a lovely hotel, staff were very helpful, and was in good proximity to majority of places in the city. The only thing is the rooms are quite dated and means they don’t have any form of fridge in the room which would have been nice to have for a four star. Overall a lovely stay

Nice hotel with a friendy staff. The breakfast was excellent with a fresh orange juice press which was also fun to use. The beds comfortable , a clean and complete bathroom with all the stuff you might need and nice view at on the river. What would we ask more. All things we wanted to see where on walking distance

I was staying in this hotel for Anuga show. I've been lucky to stay in this hotel because it has its German charm and also is centrally located. it's 10-15 min drive by taxi to the Koln Messe, or two stops by tram or 30 min walk. Rooms were quite spacious with good beds. I would recommend this hotel

We had an apartment which was so spacious. Couldnt fault the room. Had everything we needed. Staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. Only thing we didnt get told is we needed to tell them if we wanted fresh bedding or towels but for a 2 night stay this didnt bother us. Excellent location.

First the good, lovely location by the Rhine with nice walks along the banks, 5 minute walk into town. Fantastic staff very informative. The average.Our room was overlooking the Rhine with a comfortable bed but the pillows as we noticed in the 3 hotels we stayed, while in Germany are very soft and you only get 1 each ! Also you would think at this time of the year (October) the heating would be on, this was not the case in the Allergo, we had to get someone from reception to bleed the radiator, not what I expect from a hotel of this standard. The bad, Micro bathroom the smallest space we have ever seen in a bathroom the shower millimetres away from the toilet, made the act of showering difficult, Liquid shower gel in a bottle on the floor, no shelf - nook or cranny to put items on while showering, very compact.

Hotel Allegro is a nice hotel. Pros: nice location just steps away from Huemarkt, Rhine, Senfmuller (local mustard miller), Chocolate Museum; easy, beautiful walk to the cathedral and museums; very friendly hotel staff; quiet; very nice breakfast. Cons: a bit dated and small rooms, both of which are easily overlooked especially for the reasonable rates. I recommend for those on a budget- very good value!

I had one of the apartments, I assume the hotel has bought the block next door as it has expanded. Stairs up to the apartment were old fashioned which had me worried, opened the door and all my worries went! Fresh, clean, bright and roomy which seem recently refurbished. Rooms were well appointed and the staff were very friendly. Waitress remembered I had coffee the day before and brought a pot over to the table without me even asking! Room has river views to the front. Yes, with the windows open it can be loud but it is a city centre hotel so it is to be expected, with the windows closed no problems. It is a bit further down the river so is quieter than many of the others. Would stay again. Breakfast also included hot items which is always a win!

Great little hotel that was exactly what we were looking for. Perfection location looking into the river, next to a pub/restaurant and only a short stroll to the centre of Cologne. Friendly and efficient staff, comfortable beds, quiet room and good choice for breakfast. Altogether very good value and would return again. (From someone who never usually bothers to submit reviews!)

The hotel is located right in the middle of everything in Cologne. I walked in and the guy at the front desk knew my name. Room was clean, there is no AC which I was worried about at first, however, night time keeps you cool and we were only there to sleep. All of the employees were awesome. The only negative was that the bathroom was suuuuuuuper small, but I mean who cares.

Only stayed one night but it was most enjoyable. Very comfortable room with a view across the river. The choices on offer at breakfast were good and even had a decent cup of tea! Staff members were pleasant. The only difficulty we had was trying to find a parking space, although we managed eventually. Would stay again.

We were in Cologne for several hot days (28-32) and without aircon, the nights were quite warm in the room. With the hotel facing a main road you could not sleep with the qindows open. As with most European hotels they only had duvees so we had no moderate sleeping conditions. It was also frustrating that there are no tea / coffee facilities in the room. All other elements of the stay were great - breakfast was good value，staff very helpful， close to the main attractions and with a river view. The pub downstairs was not too noisy and a great place to stop off at the end of a hot day. If the weather was more moderate I am sure we would not have had an issue.

the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.close to Christmas markets which is why we went to cologne.went to the chocolate museum which was only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel.had a river view which was a nice touch.enjoyed the eau de cologne perfume museum.farina house.we booked online before we went to ensure a place on the tour.our tour guide was dressed as they dressed at the time,made it a bit more special.enjoyable 4 night stay.hotel was in a very good place.took our car so used the underground parking garage.12euros a day.busy road outside so didn't have window open much.had breakfast on our last morning which was cooked bacon sausage and scrambled eggs or you can have continental.all tastes catered for.7euros 50 which wasn't too bad.will stay here again if ever in cologne.

Very charming hotel located on the river. Great views of the river. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff very friendly and happy to help. Best hotel I've stayed in this year. I usually go for the known chain hotels, this stay was better than any of those.
