I really wasn't impressed especially with the dour reception staff. I'd said beforehand it was a special mother & daughter birthday trip and I'd like a nice room - no conversation at all at reception! My daughter had laid balloons out on my bed the next morning and the maid just threw them on the floor. Tea/Coffee station wasn't filled and when we went to ask for milk and sugar the man at reception didn't seem happy. No plugs at all at the bed. Breakfast wasn't worth the money, too little and too cramped. The bath robes were threadbare and I got 4 bites which came from inside the bed! The separate toilet was so unsanitary with no sink or even hand sanitiser in it.... Never stayed in a hotel with reception staff being so unfriendly plus one had left his unfinished lunch beside the lift. Def not the standard I'd expect from Best Western.

Our flight landed before check in time. We were very pleased that the hotel had a luggage storage area to store our suitcases. By stowing our luggage, we could enjoy a nice day of sightseeing in the nearby area of our hotel.

The hotel is well situated in the center of Nice on a pedestrian section of the Avenue Jean Medicine therefor we were dropped ,by our taxi driver, away from the hotel and we had to carry our luggage and suitcases a significant distance. the room had no refrigerator. In the bathroom there were neither bars of soap nor shampoo.

Really clean, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Stayed in twin deluxe rooms. Good air-conditioning. 15 mins walk to beach. 10 mins walk to station. Lots of places to eat. Monoprix supermarket. La Brioche Chaude opposite for breakfast. Kettle in room and mini fridge. Can get tram from terminal 2 of airport to Jean Medecin tram station stop.

It was perfect. It is a five minute walk from the train station. The room was very small, but well appointed. The bed was very comfortable.

We loved this stay for so many reasons. So close to the train station, shops and just a short walk to great restaurants in Old Nice. Proximity to the beach and promenade was also a bonus. Our hotel room felt like you had entered a sound proof room. With padded walls and extremely comfortable beds, even facing the main street was quite quiet at night for sleeping. Plentiful hot water and a rain shower with great pressure was the icing on the cake. The room and bathroom/shower look like they have had a recent upgrade and it looks fantastic. The mini fridge, kettle and complementary coffee/tea in the room was also a nice touch. Breakfast was well worth the 13 euros. Hotel front desk staff were super helpful for all sorts or questions and recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Considering location on busiest road in Nice,the room was very quiet. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Would choose this hotel next time in Nice.

We arrived from New York, after 9 hours flight and bad sleep. Two people sitting in reception small area, one busy with some bills and calculation on computer, other guy on the phone. Waited standing for a good two minutes may be three. Neither one acknowledged us or at least say something like: I will be with you shortly. Until I realized I am too polite and they are too ignorant. Then asked; can one of you give us our room. The one on the phone pointed he is busy on phone. Waited, after another minute or two, eventually bill calculating guy looked at us and asked for passports to give us room. As a 71 year old engineer, I though I am qualified to teach those ignorant people and said ; If i am on the phone at work and someone arrives and need me, I make the phone conversation short to address the client. You should do the same, it is common sense. May be hotel management should give them training. But, what if the bill calculating guy was the manager! This is a two star hotel by North American standard yet rated 4 star! Hotel pictures are deceptive. Reception area vey smal had a few stools, no sofa. Bathroom and shower was renovated and was good. Hotel location was close to Nice main rail station and was good. Bad customer service was my main concern.

Decent hotel to stay in for a short time, at a reasonable price. Location is great, situated on the main high street with plenty of shops, eateries and tram links. The staff were very friendly and helped us when we can. The room was satisfactory, particularly the bath tub! Unfortunately the Aircon didn't seem to work particularly well and the noise from the rear of the hotel was a bit annoying.

I have visited the Best Western Alba hotel 3 times. I have always found the staff very friendly indeed. The hotel is situated in a great location. I am planning to return in 2024.

Very convenient location a few hundred meters from the tram and the train station. The room has a fridge, coffee making, and a safe. Size of the room was good and although ou room was fronting the main road, we found it to be quiet.

Property is located in Great Location, close to the beach and train station, problems, may be bad luck, there was a strong water sewage smell inside the room couldn’t sleep. I had to wear a face mask no Wi-Fi connection not any help from staff regarding these problems.

The property was central, very easy to get around. Staff were helpful and rooms were clean. A little dated but overall happy with the stay at this hotel.

Hotel is nice and clean. Staff is friendly. Close to city centre, close to beach, maybe 15 minute walk. Very convenient. One down side is that the room key didn't work all the time, we had to keep telling the staff to fix it for us almost every day. That was pretty frustrating. Yet they can fix it within 30 seconds, so not too too bad. All in all, we all love the stay and would book the same hotel again if we go back to Nice!

I have no clue how this hotel can be classed as a 4*. It’s extremely old, basic and dirty. It needs a complete refurbishment and clean! I would not recommend this hotel.
