Lovely courtyard and very nice breakfast. Rooms are a little dated and the off street parking is really tight. Nice place and would stay again

To be honest, I think this is a poor hotel. It really needs some modernising and is very expensive for what you get. This was exacerbated by a somewhat poor customer service experience. I told the staff in the morning that the shower was not working very well. This was, I don’t think, a new issue as there were multiple faults (drainage issues, broken attachments) and was told merely that they’d look into it. I sincerely doubt I was the first person to mention this. When I asked for a coffee I was told this was impossible as breakfast didn’t open for 10 more minutes. It’s not the biggest deal in the world, but you’d hope for better at the price paid for this place. It’s run down, needs some decorative attention and they need to reassess how they care for their guests. Won’t return.

Friendly and welcoming staff, small charming rustic place, excellent restaurant.

lovely owners...helped in several extra ways to make us comfortable. Their restaurant on sight was really good and I always ended our dinner with the soufflé which needs to be ordered at the beginning of the meal. They are beautiful and delicious.

I paid for a king suite with a king bed. Instead I got a slanted, low ceiling room with two twin beds pushed together. This is what I paid extra for?

Loved this property! Must eat at the hotel restaurant, dinner is wonderful. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is a work in progress, But having said that - people were pleasant and the building when fully renovated will be magnificent : wide staircases and big exposed wooden beams. Lack of ability to eat on site and basic breakfast bring the score down.

The hotel is as charming and pretty as depicted on the pictures, the breakfast buffet was amazing, however the service was somehow behind:
- the computer available for internet was insanely slow
- they imposed a check-in by 10pm even though the restaurant still had clients after 11pm, so they could have handled the keys
Nice stay overall though, the room was great, with a cute bathroom.

We stayed for three nights before heading to Barcelona. Our room was big with plenty of room for luggage, we were on the second floor, no lift, this could be hard for some travellers. Breakfast was included, bar and restaurant also on the premises which was handy, no charge for parking. Town very small so as a base for day trips it suited us fine.

Stayed four nights B&B , ideal location for touring, restaurant excellent, evening meals superb but make sure you reserve before 18;00hrs on the day.
note: restaurant closed Wednesday evenings.
No problem parking.

A hotel with real character, only a few miles from Avignon, Uzes, Pont du Gard and lovely, sometimes rather wild, countryside. This was our second visit, after a two-year gap and the standard was just as high. The service could not be faulted for attention to detail and customer care.
Big, airy bedroom in the best local style - well furnished and comfortable. Breakfasts were everything we could want, taken either in the breakfast room or outside on the terrace.
The restaurant is also definitely not average. Well-presented, inventive and delicious dishes; not cheap, but much more than just fuel. Service is formally informal, and very relaxing.
Parking is rather limited, but the earlier reviewer must have been unlucky as this is a small out-of-the-way village. Just shows how you shouldn't take security for granted, especially if you have foreign plates.

The Auberge is a great place to stay for Avignon and the surrounding areas and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It will also be easier to find when the entrance on the main street is finished. Our room was close to the road and rather noisy (it was too hot to close the windows)but comfortable. Tavel is the centre of French Rose wine growing and you should try it - usually good value. The food in the restaurant is fantastic, although the menu is very expensive at up to Euro39.50. There are three other restaurants in the village that are cheaper and probably better value than the Auberge.

On a busy Saturday in July when the hotel was full and there was a wedding due that evening, the proprietor went out to purchase another bed for our room due to a misunderstanding (not on the part of the hotel) with our booking. By the time we had sat down to a delightful meal in the restaurant, the proprietor came to our table to advise us that the new bed was installed in our room ready for our return. What service from a small hotel on a busy day. We shall return to this lovely hotel
