Fantastic hotel! Great staff, awesome breakfast, easy walk to both the city center and the minimetro, and excellent parking availability. Highly recommend.

Staff was really nice. The restaurant is excellent. The hotel is overall a bit old and would benefit from some renovations. Bathrooms are provided with a Jacuzzi tub, but no real shower. This may be a problem if you don’t have a lot of time in the morning.

THE BEST HOTEL IN PERUGIA.
I've been there 2 times. close to the historical centre, clean, comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff and the breakfast... AMAZING!
Congrats to Hotel's Giò Wine team!

Our two rooms had a balcony with a view to the garbage area of the supermarket next door. We stayed two nights and every morning we were woken up in the very early morning by an incredible noise from garbage trucks. Rooms are ok and clean. Generally, the hotel seems a bit tired, at least in the wine part of the hotel. Location is very good just 5 minutes walk from minimetro which takes you to center of Perugia in no time. Also possible to walk back (downhill) in 15 minutes. Breakfast is very good. Free and easy parking.

We enjoyed our time here. The reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful. It’s easy getting into the old town via a walk to the minimetro station.

Stylized decor.
But AC in the room wasn’t up to the job. Had to leave the door to hallway propped open because it was cooler in the hallway.

Needs shower curtains in the bathrooms and AC that works...
Probably more of a 2* than a 4*
Staff friendly though.

Excellent and a hotel with a twist.

Large hotel. Rooms are very dated and have jazz deco. They have a massage chair in each room. I felt like I was in a 2 star room. Mattress was covered by one sheet. Used a towel to add protection. Restaurant and service was good. Parking good.

Location good. Standard of hotel and amenities excellent. Easy parking.
The hotel has no bar which is unfortunate. Otherwise all facilities, restaurant, breakfast etc very good.

Great stay - 30 mins walk into historic district!

Parking can be tricky in old, walled Italian cities so we opted for this hotel slightly outside the historic centre as it has a car park and baby cribs. Arrived at lunchtime to find plenty of space at the front of the hotel to keep the car during check-in The lobby was nice and modern and check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was in the other block, next to the car park so got back in the car and went to the other block (literally just across to road so very easy).
Parking was straightforward but the other block was much older and a little dated. The theme of wine, jazz and chocolate is a bit quirky but, hey.....! Room was comfortable enough although smelled a bit fusty. We were pleased to find the crib had already been set up in the room and was suitable.
Walk to the historic city centre is not long in distance, but is strenuous as it's up a steep hill so took about 15-20 minutes with buggy.
After getting back down to the hotel and doing baby bath time etc it was getting late and no nearby eateries were open for takeaway, so we went to reception and ordered room service from the restaurant which claimed to be very good. Once the food arrived we were very pleased to confirm that the food is indeed very good and very reasonable considering it was room serviced!
Didn't get a chance to check out any of the other hotel amenities. Overall, not amazing, but suited our needs perfectly so very happy.

The hotel is close to local bus station. If you don't want to walk uphills and downhills. There are buses to the University of Perugia, the city center (Piazza Italia) , Bus Terminal and Perugia Railway Station. A supermarket (Conrad) is close by.
There are not much restaurants in the neighborhood and no scenery.

Breakfast buffet was excellent! Hotel restaurant menu was limited and hours of service were limited. There was a period of adjustment to no overhead shower in the tub, but we worked it out. The room was great, room cleanliness was great, staff was great, we'd stay there again if we return for the Umbria Jazz Fest.

The property had a really relaxed vibe, most of the staff were really wonderful and helpful. the decor was fab, roof top pool was just what you needed to cool off all in all a really lovely stay and would defo return in the future and recommend to others.
Need to note that this hotel is not in the old town but transportation is a 5-10 minute walk away, reasonably priced and no waiting times at all however it is down a hill so the walk back is up a hill!!! having said that i suffer with my legs and I did it in 10 minutes.
Great stay

The hotel is a bit outdated, but still good value for money. Easy access to the historical center by a minimetro. The room was quite big and the breakfast was good.

Yes. More than expected The check-in fast. They even let me practice my Italian which I love to do. All of the meals were well serviced and the food was great. The entire building and surrounding areas were well kept. There is a MiniMetro which is nearby to get to the hotel but a safe and fun ride is a cab through the windy streets of Perugia. The entire theme of the hotel is about jazz and wine and it all comes to life at the hotel. Go!

We stayed here on an Italian road trip the lady who checked us in was fine the room was musty but the pool was great long walk up a steep bank to the centre we returned after an evening out got back 1120pm there was some kind of dispute between the desk clerk and a customer that got quite heated we had got back early to have a coffee as there are no facilities in the room to do this the time the argument finally finished it was 1150pm I ordered two coffees to be told they stopped serving at 12 by the boy that had just finished arguing with the last customer I explained that this was why I was ordering before they stopped taking orders he was clearly not happy maybe just not the job for him

Lovely ambiance with jazz playing all the time. Breakfast spread was extensive. Jet-bath was lovely but only has low shower over. Good parking. Short walk to minimetro to save the 20 minute steep climb to interesting old town and other restaurants.

overall very pleasant
the only thing that we didn't like was the lack of shower curtain. difficult to shower when there is no shower curtain.
if you don't have a car it is a bit far from the city centre.
WIFI was not good in the room

Quirky hotel - had a lovely time! Swimming pool on roof was excellent.

This hotel is quite a way from the main part of the town, about 20 minutes walk up the hill. When we arrived on a Sunday, we had just missed the lunch service, which finished at 3pm, and the restaurant didn't open again until 7.30pm. I asked for some advice from the reception staff and they were really rather unhelpful, couldn't tell us any place that would be open and didn't have any food at all to serve us. So we had to all get a taxi into the centre and hope somewhere would be open. Part way into our stay on a sunny day in June, we asked the directions to the pool, but were told it was shut with little explanation. The hotel itself is somewhat over-themed, but the attitude of the staff lets it down a lot. Even if you can accept this, I would suggest choosing a hotel in the centre, which is really quite beautiful.

1st floor rooms hear every wheeled suitcase being pulled through reception but apart from that and the lack of pool being open the hotel is a good walk to the centre, has free parking and great breakfasts.

Friendly, spacious, stylish, highly efficient, and comfortable. Tasty, truly Italian food in the restaurant, served with panache and of an impeccable standard. Brilliant wine list and the combination of wine, jazz and chocolate on which the hotel prides itself gives the place real character. Five minute walk to mini metro and you're in the old city , surrounded by Renaissance art and architecture and the magnificent Umbrian landscape.

Something different from your average hotel - a little cd/dvd player in your room playing free jazz. Overall a classy hotel with everything reminding you of the theme at every step. Not a bad word about it.

the room was ok but that was it. The hotel is right above a gaz station, the breakfast is nothing to tell about.
