Familiar hotel chain, with simple but good rooms and comfortable beds. Air conditioning available. Breakfast is extensive but during weekdays only available until 09.00 hrs. During weekends, breakfast can be taken until 11.00 hrs. This particular Campanile offers plenty of eating options within easy walking distance. Drinks are a bit expensive with €5,20 for a small beer. Go to the 3 Brasseurs in stead where a pint is €4 each day between 5 and 7 pm with a good selection of on premise brewed beers.

I asked for certain rooms and my requests were honoured in full, which is much appreciated. Staff are friendly and they seemed to cope with my less than perfect French. Easy parking and a nice seating area outside where we enjoyed a few beers. There are plenty dining options all within easy walking distance should you not wish to dine in. Breakfast was good with plenty to chose from. In total, an excellent and very affordable stay.

It's a budget hotel so didn't have high expectations. Something to note is this is more like an American motel - the rooms are accessed from outside along the edges of the building. No lift as stated which was fine - spiders everywhere in the outside corridors though. Room itself well, I guess it looks like the picture but with yellowed walls. Horrible smell in the room, can't place it at all. Air conditioning if thats what it was didn't work, just blew room temp or hot air around the room depending on where you selected on the dial. Bathroom was adequate but clearly not cleaned properly given there was someone else's hair in the sink and dirt on the floor. Toilet had a mysterious brown stain under the water line too. The bed was comfortable, I slept well on it which was a definite plus. Security is pretty good since you have to cover the window with an electronic metal shutter at night. There was a kettle in the room, some spare sheets and a TV. I didn't try the breakfast but assume that was also okay given a few people were eating it.

I never expect much when using these French Motel chains. This one was like every other one. They used to be good several years ago but they're now starting to look old and tatty. Cleanliness wasn't good. The bathroom stank of stale urine and despite being a non smoking room, everything stank of smoke.

Missed out on breakfast as receptionist asked if I wanted breakfast and I decided not to pay for it. When I checked out lady said it was included. Room was nice, sex noises of room next door as well. Room wasn’t the cleanest either. I guess overall ok for the cost for one night.

The reception was difficult to access and the evening receptionist not very welcoming. We were planning on having dinner at the hotel restaurant but it was already closed at 21:00. Thankfully, the hotel is located within a shopping area, so it was easy to find an alternative. One pubic hair found in the shower and one hair in the sink upon arrival. Not the Best first impression...

Nice room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Beautiful setting over looking lake, nice and quiet. Lots of places to eat and drink very close by. Great stop over on route to ferry port. Highly recommend.

Very good value for money and very close to the bowling alley where we were in a 4 day tournament. Lots of reasonable eateries nearby and a very large Carrefour in a shopping mall. Continental breakfasts which were okay for us. We were overlooking the lake at the back of the property and had a lovely view. Staff could just about muddle through with us in 'Franglais'. Good jumping off point for Lille and Ypres and only an hours drive from Calais.

We had rooms out the back on the top floor over looking the lake which was lovely. Rooms out the front, not so nice. They overlooked the retail park!! Plenty of restaurants nearby and a 10 minute walk to the metro where a 20 minute train ride took you into the centre of Lille. Rooms were clean and tidy, bed was comfy, bathroom more than adequate with clean towels every day. Some niggles; one lamp that didn't work, one dodgy socket (actually, not enough sockets. Only one double per room), only one chair for two people but all in all, a nice roomy place to stay. Breakfast was excellent, an eat as much as you like with plenty to choose from for all tastes. Would consider staying again if we were in that area again.

The room was ok but the bed was very hard and lumpy.The buffy breakfast was better than OK but a bit pricey. There is a nice lake and park land at the rear of the hotel. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance and the ones we tried were good, there is a large supermarket about 5 mins away which is in a shopping center.

The hotel is situated in a large retail park so there is a good choice of restaurants and activities. The hotel is good and Campaniles are always very clean. We were just staying for one night due to problems at Calais port, but were able to book with very short notice with confidence in the brand.

The Campanile range of hotels are always well up to standard. The rooms are clean, everything in the room works and the staff very helpful. I stayed at this particular hotel on the same date last year (2014) and when I rang to confirm my reservation the member of staff remembered me by my name - now that's what I call a personal service. The location of this hotel is ideal for people travelling with pets as the ground floor rooms open straight out onto lawns and there is access to a park and lake which is ideal for walking the dogs. Will certainly be going there again next year.

Generally as expected from a Campanile. The rooms are small, but have what is required. Coffee making facilities are a nice touch, but spoilt by providing paper cups and plastic spools - we know to take our own. Lakeside rooms have a better view, but the noisy birds in the morning can be a disturbance.

It was very cheap, so I wasn't expecting luxury, but it could have been cleaner. The two members of staff (on reception) that we dealt with were very helpful, but the hotel building is a bit old and shabby, and our room needed a good clean (dust behind the doors, etc). Very convenient location, though, on the retail park with Ikea and Carrefour, just off the main road, which would be good if you are travelling and using this as a stop-over.

I stayed at the hotel with my fiancee for a night and it was very convenient to be close to plenty of options to eat out at night. But despite that, there was not much to do around. It was not as close to Lille as we expected and we were also not very motivated to drive there during the evening. Overall it is a good quality and clean hotel and I reccomend mainly if you are travelling and need a place to stay over night. It is a kind of 'US Movies Motel style' hotel. The rooms are comfy, only problems is you can hear very easily any noise from the nearby rooms (which also means you can be heard easily).
