The service was top notch and all the extra touches made our stay special. Homemade cookies and the travel breakfast bags were amazing. The staff was professional, efficient and ever so kind. The hotel is under renovation, but we still had a wonderful stay. 5 stars

The hotel requires a 300 dollar credit card hold to stay the night. That should be posted everywhere online but wasn't

Multiple issues occurred during our stay. We booked a room for 5 people. we showed up at night after a long day of travel to a hotel reservation that only provided my family with 4 spots to sleep. We were told there was not a single extra room for our 5th guest to sleep. we were given pillows and a blanket for her to sleep on the floor! Luckily we convinced my daughter that she probably had the best spot in the house. come to find out we were right. our beds were wrapped in plastic sheets and pillow cases that made a racket any time someone needed to turn in their sleep. The next morning we woke up to no continental breakfast that was listed on the hotels amenities. The cook was out and we were not offered any type of reimbursed. Lastly, the day we checked out I got a $300.00 charge that no one informed us would be charged. Of course I had to call see why there was a $300.00 charge on my account and they informed us it was an insurance hold or something. Not sure why the charge was made on the day I checked out rather than the day I checked it. Terrible experience.

Our room was spacious and clean. All employees were very friendly. The breakfast was fresh with lots of options. The bed was comfortable. The only drawback for our stay was the walls were thin. Our neighbors stayed up to the wee hours with their TV on. We were wakened in the very early hours with someone in a fit of coughing. Otherwise the hotel was great and I would stay there again.

The property was excellent however charging 300.00 usd for incidentals per night is ridiculous and unless this is changed I would not stay here again even though it was a great hotel , very clean and staff were great .

FUTURE GUESTS BEWARE:
Please reconsider booking this property as guests have been harmed due to the situation unfolding in Brattleboro. This property sits directly adjacent to an encampment that is riddled with drug dealing, violence, and theft. The problems are spilling over from the Quality Inn next door, and neither Hilton nor the Brattleboro police are taking enough action to protect guests staying in the Hampton Inn.
In June 2024 an NYC couple was arrested after being found in possession of 960 bags of fentanyl.
In July 2024 a man was arrested for assault and drug possession after threatening random individuals on the property with a gun.
Possibly the most concerning was in March 2024 when police responded to the Hampton Inn for reports of a 44 year old man with blood and head injuries. The individual that was reportedly assaulted in the hotel parking lot had to be airlifted to Umass Worcester Hospital for life threatening injuries.
As noted by management, both verbally to guests and on socially media, individuals from the encampment continue to trespass on the property to commit theft from vehicles and from the hotel itself. The Hampton Inn has started issuing parking passes to monitor the cars that should and shouldn’t be in the parking lot, however, that doesn’t prevent the individuals next door from walking over and breaking into vehicles or the building. Individuals have also been noted as using the Hampton Inn parking lot to complete their drug deals.

We had to move rooms at 11:30 pm because the water was not clean in the bathtub, the new room was not properly cleaned, the pool was closed with no notice, and they were understaffed at the front desk.

I hope to be able to stay on this property again soon.
The room was "squeaky clean" and quiet.
I appreciate the time that each Staff member took to answer questions. They genuinely care about making your stay as comfortable as possible.
Thank you to Ms B, Robert and the rest of the property Staff. Good Breakfast, and freshly baked cookies each day was a treat, macadamia nut are my favorite.

My 3 night stay was comfortable and quiet. I wish the pool and hot tub had been open and there is remodeling going on but it didn't affect my stay. Breakfast was good with a large variety of choices. Coffee was good and available along with tea and cocoa 24/7 in the lobby. Nice stay.

The hotel is decent. I like the entrance and the dining area! Breakfast was good each day. Front end staff were great. Robert was very kind and helpful with check in and the other lady who helped me with laundry was also very kind and patient with me. Building is quiet mostly. Cookies, fruit and treats available for guests was an added bonus! Love there was fruit in the dining area for guests. I had 3 apples :)
I was bummed to see the pool and hot tub were down and there was no mention on the website of renovations and repair....Over all, good stay. No real complaints that warrant attention.

The hotel next door is pretty skecthy. Looked a like a homeless shelter or ileagal alien camp .
This hampton is undergoing renovations, again not mentioned on website when booking. We stay at hamptons all over and it seems every time we use one in Vernont they seem to have lower stadards than the Other Hamptons we have statyed at. Also I have never been charged a $300 deposit at any Hamton we have statyed at. Brattleboro charges a $300 deposit and doeasnt even mention it when checking in.

The hotel is under construction (and for good reason). All of the windows including the one in our room are covered with dirty tarps so you can not see out the window. The pool area is closed.
The hotel is dated, hence the renovations, but we were not aware of this. I would definitely not have stayed at this hotel if I had known.

Property is so dated and truly needs a deep deep cleaning. Probably worst Hampton Inn I've been too, this week i was at 4 separate propertie, this one is pretty bad.

When we got there the elevator was broken and our king room was on the 4th floor. They had no kings on 1st floor. We ended up taking queen room on the 1st bc we had a lot of bags and didnt want to carry up 4 flights. The room smelled like smoke and it was non smoking. Probably the woest hampton inn we have stayed at.

Large homeless population all over in the area. Front desk clerk checked us in and never once bothered to mention that the pool was closed for renovations and then when we walked past in our swimsuits and towels and made eye contact still never bothered to mention until I came back to the desk and asked about it then was told it’s closed for the “foreseeable future.” Worth a mention for travelers with kids with them. Wouldn’t have stopped us from staying because we prepaid but common courtesy goes a long way….

Hotel rooms need updating. Decor is outdated and is worn out. Otherwise great staff and good breakfast.

IT is not stated any where that the hotel pool and hot tub have been out of order for a year. We planned to use these services. Extremely disappointing that it was not stated anywhere on Hotels.com, on the Hampton Inn ro Hilton websites. We would have looked for another hotel but we arrived late

They did not disclose that the pool ammemity was not available before check in. We did not stay at this facility.

Pros: Clean, quiet, easy access off US 5 and near I-91, friendly staff on the evening shift so far.
Major Con: I’m dropping my overall for this hotel to 3 stars because of the ridiculously large incidental hold this hotel requires. I am here for a single night in a room that cost less than $150 and they expected me to be cool with a $300 incidental hold for a ONE NIGHT STAY! Absolute insanity. This isn’t the Ritz. It’s a run of the mill Hampton with the basic amenities.
The front desk staff was very polite and I in no way fault them for a thing. However, unless you want $300 of your vacation money held up for days by the hotel you are using strictly as a one night stop over, do yourself a favor and call around asking about the incidental fees at other hotels. DO NOT stay here. I know I wasn’t expecting a one night stay at a basic hotel to hold up $450 when Expedia sold me the room for $145 after tax. This has been my lesson to call the hotel and ask before booking. Please learn from my mistake.

Like other reviewers already stated - the hotel is excellent - super friendly staff, I stayed in. King bed room - the room was spacious, clean, comfortable mattress - not too soft, not too hard. Good breakfast choices.
They do state at the front desk that pool/ hot tub are being renovated with no date for completion.

The staff were friendly, the room and common areas were clean. Brattleboro is a nice small town and north of the hotel are perhaps the loveliest small towns in Vermont, with Putney being our favorite! Relaxed, good food and very nice people cap off the beautiful and largely undisturbed back country roads as well as an awesome Coop and country store.
