The Warren Lodge is a beautiful historic hotel. It has all the culture of Britain, is a short distance from West London where you want to be, is on the water and all this comes at a price you can't beat. The staff is extremely accommodating and room service was delicious.

Whilst the location is pretty, the hotel itself is in much need of attention. Only one member of staff on duty when I arrived at 5pm, who had to serve bar guests as well as check ins, so there was a wait. He was however very pleasant & helpful. Whilst I was waiting I noticed the clock hadn’t been changed since daylight saving, a week ago & there plenty cobwebs. I did request single occupancy but I think it’s got to be the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The furniture was tired, chipped & badly marked. I had to wipe the sticky surface of the bedside cabinet before I dared to put anything on it. The toilet didn’t drain away probably but there was no point in trying to clear it with the toilet brush because that was broken. The TV wall bracket was also broken so the TV hung at an angle that was impossible to watch. I had to improvise with a tin of hairspray to prop the screen up to a watchable height. Overall very poor.

I have a soft spot for this hotel having stayed there many times over the years. However this visit really did highlight how dated the hotel is. It looks like there are new owners and they may be looking to update the property but i would guess they'll need to spend a small fortune, but good luck to them.
The staff were very friendly
The room was tired and dated, the shower was clean and the bed was comfortable, the internet wouldn't connect in my room, but worked fine in the bar area.
I appreciate times are hard and hotels need to make some money from the bar however a pint of Guiness and a glass of wine was just over £18, totally ridiculous, i'd advise others to stock up in the town and drink your own.
I opted for breakfast for an additional £14 per person per night, my advice would be to give it a miss, cheap ingredients made for a very bland experience.
As stated previously i have used this hotel many times previously and to be perfectly honest im not 100% sure i'd stay there again.
I really hope the owners can turn it around as its location is second to none

Rooms quite dated. Windows did not shut properly and were therefore drafty. Cold, no heating. Mildew in the bathroom and in the carpets. Location and surrounding area nice.

Upon arrival, there was no parking.
The bathroom was unclean and toilet unflushed.
The grime around the bath was unpleasant. I would not stay again unfortunately.

Location good. Hotel very tired looking. Needs refurbishing. More staff needed. Bedroom freezing cold at night. No heating.

Absolutely shocking

Very basic rooms clean but very old furnishings and carpet, even when cleaned you could still see all the old stains .Normally just one member of staff running at round manning ,reception ,bar and dining area.Town centre was only a few minutes walk away with lots of shops and restaurants.Plenty of parking for hotel residents.

Nice riverside location. Rooms with river views. Free parking.

A beautiful and peaceful spot to stay the night. To sit beside the terrace looking out over the Thames was very special. Room was largeand all we needed for a one night stop while walking the Thames Path. Glad we could also get dinner as not a lot of eating places around the area.

Late check in is available, abundant parking is available and things are clean. The facilities are run down but overall that problem is isolated to the outside and not inside the room. The staff who checked us in was helpful and polite, and we're sad that we couldn't enjoy the breakfast because our flight was very early.

The property is stunning, yes some of it may need updating on looks. But I love the old style cosy feel it has, I was lucky enough to have a stunning view from my bedroom of the river, and having that balcony area to sit by the lake in lovely. The only thing is I didn’t sleep well but thats because it’s near the airport so can hear planes and noises from other rooms, which can’t be helped. The food was very nice too I had dinner and breakfast, I would highly recommend, I would come back.

Room was dirty on arrival. Hotel was not intetested in addressing our concerns. Staff walked away didnt want to discuss it.

Situated in the bank of the river Thames, beautiful sitting in the courtyard with a drink watching the boats go by.
The room was comfortable but could do with a make over especially the bathroom. But for the price I was ok with it. The hotel needs someone with an eye for detail as just a little effort this could be a stunning hotel. Little things like dead flies on window seals, cigarette butts outside the main entrance, a little more effort to Hoover and clean the floors. And hats off to the young man working there who appeared to be running the bar and reception, if they just put a broom up his ****! Such a shame as it’s a stunning little spot and a pretty hotel just needs someone to invest in it. I’d stay again because it’s cheap

Great out of the way location for those visiting London. When it's hot outside the rooms can get hot inside with no AC. So, ask for a fan.

We was very upset from our last experience. We have been going to this hotel for many years and have never experienced anything like this before.
After we left they stole £100 from me. Apparently the sweety obese housekeeping (fair described dont know name) reported that she could smell smoke in the room, which is 100% lies. To resolve this we spoke to reception and got email addresses. The manager blocked the email that we sent bad management!!!!!
we heard nothing back from the other email we was given. This hotel can not be trusted and the management team need to go on a course for customer service on how to resolve and deal with complaints from customers.. blocking my email was so wrong and unacceptable from the Manger Sarah. Beautiful place terrible customer service.. trying to get a room on the terrace with river view..is a nightmare. We always bring our kayak and need a room on the terrace. They have made this so difficult for no reason. You should be able as a customer to explain your needs, be heard and TRY to accommodate. That does not happen. Your requested room is not guaranteed! BE AWARE OF THIS!!!
I am currently trying to resolve this with my bank,as no response from warren lodge. THEY ARE THEIVES AND WE DO NOT RECOMMEND WARREN LODGE TOO OUR WORST ENEMY.

staff not very attentive, poor restaurant menu.

Not a bad spot...good but not great or memorable. But when you need a good night's sleep...it works.

They need a good plumber as most rooms do not have hot water for showers or baths. Not good.

It was nice place to stay with good lakeside views.

Very friendly staff and very welcoming nice and clean hotel room was refreshed very spacious room and bathroom nice and clean liked the outside area to sit and have a drink by the river.

The dinner was very disappointing both in terms of substance and presentation. Breakfast was fine.
The TV didn't work properly in the room.
Bags of laundry were left on the landing during the evening and overnight.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable however.
All a little dated and needs a facelift with a little more attention to detail.

Nice hotel in a lovely location. Decor was a bit tired in places but couldn’t fault the cleanliness.
Booked 2 nights and paid extra for a room with a river view. Unfortunately due to shrubbery, we couldn’t actually see the river.
However, the room (52) was very spacious with a large lounge and separate bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed. The carpet is a bit grotty but it was lovely to step out of the patio door straight into the lovely garden area.
We had a very nice evening meal on the first night and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming.
We would stay here again but not pay the extra for breakfast as it was very pricey for what we got.
A special mention goes out to James who was extremely helpful and friendly.

Lovely old historic hotel but decor needs a revamp, new carpets and a real good clean. The Warren is in a great position with river frontage and ample parking. We had a spacious garden room, country views, ensuite and beds were comfortable.
Breakfast in the traditional restaurant setting with antique furnishings was just ok but service slow, with staff trying their best to deliver. Went out for breakfast on second morning.
Overall, the Warren has great potential but currently not capitalising on the huge potential the old building and location offers.

The setting off the hotel is fantastic

This property could do with a little updating, but on the whole comfortable and good location

We had a fire alarm go off at 4am. Fortunately this was a false alarm as the night manager had no idea what to do. He was running around the guests saying that he hadn't been trained to deal with the situation. Another staff member was on the phone trying to find out how to turn off the alarm. The alarm was going for 45 minutes. It went off around 6.30 again, thankfully for only a short time. The general manager didn't bother to turn up at all over the weekend. We were told the area which triggered the alarm was fine and it was a false alarm on the Saturday morning, however when we checked out we were then told it was a guest smoking in a bedroom. Obviously just an excuse. I will be reporting this to the Fire Safety Officer for the area.

It was fine not brilliant not terrible, the service is very slow was waiting at reception 25 mins before any one turned up and we where the only people in the que .
Breakfast was ok but very small , had a nice time there none the less

Room temperature horrendously too hot due to radiators being on too high, one radiator was broken and could not be lowered. Bins not emptied in the bath, waste sanitary towels. No other bin in room, no telephone or tea and drink cups. Hotel very worn and in urgent need for refurbishment. The hotel has massive potential.

Very friendly staff, clean and tidy. Great value for money with a nice breakfast too.

Enjoyed my stay. Nice staff, lovely area. Good breakfast. Only drawbacks were my room’s only opening window was too high up to open so room was hot. Coffee grounds floating on my coffee, not good. Would stay again, but in a different room.

Property was nice staff good however noisy, can easily hear loudly water running and loo cisterns filling in nearby rooms, much noise from stairwell and not helped by piss arsed girls in nearby room drunk at 11pm with no thought of others.

The staff were very professional and the food was very good.

Lovely location and outside space, but a few minor things that could be improved or freshened up. Room nicely decorated, comfortable beds, but patio door lock not secure, and shower would be better if more powerful. Dinner was really great, breakfast we OK but coffee definitely far too strong to the point of being undrinkable.
