If you want a good location above quality of property this is the one for you. Otherwise, it’s like stepping into the 70s. Tired, worn, in places dirty - bath doesn’t drain when having a shower. Staff refused to let us have two additional pillows, only allowing us one to supplement the thin single pillow given each. Definitely no service with a smile either - but that’s Catania generally

Hello . We understand that your hotel does not belong to a big hotel’s chain. We feel totally taken advantage the facets and water system is extremely poor , it goes from extreme hot water to cold, being this dangerous because we burned ourselves. The cleaning is absent, they only make the bed, they do not take away the trash cans, everything is dirty, I will never recommend this hotel.

Cannot say enough good things about the property. Centrally located to many sightseeing points of interest and not far from the cruise ship terminal (although I wouldn’t walk pushing big suitcases because of the cobble stone streets and traffic). Staff is extremely helpful and courteous. There was no airport pick up, but taxis outside airport are a good option for about 37 Euros. My room was EXCELLENT! This is a very good place for any SOLO traveler.

My wife and I took a superior deluxe room at the Principe di Catania for a celebration. The area is very central, other parts of the hotel are ok, as is the breakfast, but our room was disappointing and in bad shape. The window was faulty and therefore more noise came in. The room had a double bed and then two more beds in a sort of mezzanine, which took away the size of the room which was small. A light bulb was burnt out and it didn't allow you to look in the wardrobe. There wasn't even an armchair. The TV was leaning against a small table. Two electrical sockets were broken, with wires showing. Wall sconces, soap dishes and toilet roll were loosely fixed and wobbled. Bottom line, the room was dowdy and in need of maintenance. We complained to reception, they promised us a phone call from the manager which never came. They did fix little things, like a bedside table that wobbled, leaving the rest unrepaired. In short, our experience was not a superior deluxe room in a hotel with many stars, but a small frustration.

Nice property close to the city center for a few nights’ stay in Catania. Proximity to the main piazza was a huge plus. Overall, a typical European hotel. Our only complaint is that our rental car was damaged after being parked by the hotel (the bottom of the trunk collapsed as though the spare had been taken out, and we left with a small chip in the windshield).

The location of the hotel was perfect for the city centre. In the middle of everything. The staff were all so helpful. The rooms air conditioned , mini bar in room , very spacious rooms with balcony. Very clean and a beautiful old building. Breakfast and coffee was lovely
