Hotel is definitely an experience. Many pictures of old actors and actresses, old Southwest vibes to it. Very charming. All the staff we dealt with were very pleasant. The restaurant bar has decent food and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her 2 drinks she ordered. The beds were decent and the room was a good size and clean. While depending on the person it may add to the charm, the hotel is old. Of the 4 windows in our room, only 1 would stay open unassisted.
However with the good, comes the down side. I’m not sure if it was our room only, but the bathroom is TINY! So small that you had to sit on the toilet at an awkward angle. Also, the shower was labeled backwards, so it took 3 showers before we figured out that turning the knob to H causes cold water and the C is for hot.
Overall, it has a charm to it that reminds you it’s on Route 66 and it’s “vintage” in a good way.

Hotel itself was full of history. Room small, fairly comfortable. Couldn't get water in shower to heat up so it was lukewarm at best. Well stocked gift shop. Food at restaurant was okay.

The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The room has thermostat for heat and ac, tv and coffee maker. Beds were comfortable- only complaint was the tiny shower.

Such a cute redone historic hotel. The decor is so charming and intentional. You can tell they care about making your experience enjoyable. There is a night security guard who make lots of rounds and made sure we got to our vehicle safely after dinner. Comfortable bed. Some road noise. Train nearby. Very charming place. I’m glad that we got a chance to stay here.

Carry a CO monitor with you if staying in the older section of the hotel. Our room was above the kitchen vents and paired with drafty windows my husband and I both ended up in the ER for the entire night and next day. (Even the ER staff asked where we were staying and specifically if in the older section, so this must be a common occurrence). We only slept in the room from 9:00pm until 12:00am when we had to make our way to the local hospital. The hotel did reach out via message and stated they would refund our room but that never happened. Also, don’t attempt to order food at the bar we sat there for over 30 mins never to be offered even a water. Place did look cool for what it’s worth.

Amazing! The hotel is like a museum. I have been wanting to stay here for many years!

Extremely friendly staff and room was great. Great historical hotel. Didn't have A/C so it was difficult to sleep in hot room. Even with window wide open and fan on, circulation in room was not very good. If there was A/C, I would have given 5 stars for comfort.

Great dinner menu! Prepared perfectly.
Lobby beautifully decorated with historical pictures, antiques.

Rooms were extremely hot!!!! They said the ac was turned off for the season??,

Room was smaller than what you would find in downtown Tokyo micro hotel and I paid extra for "deluxe" room. Bump around like a pinball and forget bathroom... As a bonus stay here if you enjoy seeing homeless wander parking lot

The A/C never seemed to cool the room and ran all night. We opened the window because it was cooler outside but then someone started smoking a cigarette right by our room. We couldn’t get the TV to work either because the internet was so bad. The bartender was also underwhelming and needed training how to be more service oriented and friendly. The food was fine and everything else was ok. Comfy bed.

We arrived at 2:50, realize check in is at 3, however it took the clerk awhile to come to desk, then she said you need to come back at 3:05, granted you could see housekeeping staff in break room. And she was not very friendly. I did not get her name. We have stayed at property before, and have had a wonderful experience in checkin before.

I have always wanted to stay at this hotel , it was an even more amazing stay than I had imagined . The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The room was comfortable and welcoming. I would definely stay in this location once again if I were in the area .

Its a beautiful old hotel. It was fun to see t h e celebrity names on the doors. They have a restaurant and bar and gift shop. The pool was closed. The bathroom was very tiny, a large person would have a difficult time. No hair dryers in the room. I called down to ask abd they offered to bring one up but never did. No drinking glasses in the room either

We loved this hotel! So charming. Room was large and beautifully decorated. Great to have the restaurant and bar on site. Staff - from front desk to bar tender to Leroy - were all terrific. My only comment is that the bathroom was pretty small - a larger traveler might have a challenge. But perhaps other room configurations might have bigger bathrooms (we had a room with two queen beds). Overall, we were very happy to have stayed here!

We thoroughly enjoyed this classic piece of Americana. Some reviews complained about small rooms. This is compensated by the well furnished, well lit lobby, including a balcony. We had cute arrow lamps on either side. Good restaurant, too

We checked in and were put in this annex building which would have been totally great except upon entering the room, it was 61 degrees on the thermostat. We cranked the heat up thinking it was just turned down between guest but after about 45 minutes of blowing cold air, we called the front desk. They told us “the heat isn’t turned on in that building.” They didn’t see concerned and brought us two super thin blankets. About 9 pm it got below 60, so we just went to Walmart to buy space heaters for our room. We didn’t bother going back to the front desk to ask for another room since they seemed so unconcerned when we talked with them before. This isn’t our first time staying hear and we usually really enjoy it but no heat and the response from staff does make me think we won’t go back. Lots of other choices in the area.

Wow what a place! Nice historical, rustic hotel full of movie history.
The rooms were small but recently renovated. No fridges and no place to hang your clothes, which was inconvenient. Our room was probably right on top of the kitchen and our room smelled of bbq, but fortunately we had a shared balcony and could air it out.
The air conditioning was quite noisy, and there’s a train track and a highway right next to the hotel so this might not be the best place for those who sleep lightly.
Overall we had a pleasant two night stay here and I would absolutely stay here again.

This property is old and shows it. The room we had (Jack Benny #101), is ridiculously small and (in my opinion) not worth half of what we paid. If you’re an old cowboy and like to reminisce back to the old days….go for it. Otherwise, keep driving.

The unique charm of this hotel was outstanding! So much to visually feast your eyes on and the manual lift elevator was a fun addition. This hotel did a fantastic job updating the rooms just enough to make it modern and keep the old west charm.

Great place to stay while visiting the southwest

My master bedroom at home was bigger than the whole room

We have had terrible luck picking hotels while traveling on the road. My daughter looked on the Hotel app and there were many reviews on this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised and it met all of our expectations. Very clean, food was great, and staff was excellent. We will visit this hotel again

Amazing stay. Decor is awesome. A/C, refrigerator and smart TV. Security throughout the property. Staff were excellent.
Historic hotel and is a must on Route 66

Outside of building old, parking lot had a lot of potholes. AC units noisy.
4.5
Balcony had one chair and I was told sorry when I asked for a second. Room could have been cleaner. Overall a great nostalgic experience. Bar filled up with questionable characters in the evening. Food was delicious. Employees very courteous.

We were blown away by all the extra features in the room! The record player was a fabulous touch! Getting to stay at a historic hotel is awesome, but add to it the clean and welcoming atmosphere and it made for a perfect stay!
4.5
Inside it was a classic old western hotel with a movie motif. Lots of stars apparently have stayed there while making westerns on location in the very scenic countryside. Also, we loved both the dinner and breakfast in their restaurant.
4.5
The room was cold, therefore I was very uncomfortable. Efforts on behalf of the staff to fix the problem were ineffective.
4.5
Really cool historic hotel. My family loved it.
4.5
The Hotel was a nostalgic stop for my dad on Route 66. The hotel is better than it looks on the side. Very unique and historical. The staff and service shine here. The amenities are ok. The restaurant is convenient but not great. The area around it is super shady. The armed security in the parking lot was reassuring but don’t go outside on foot after dark.
4.5
Restaurant attendant was incredibly rude. He seemed like he was incredibly burned out. Stated that there was a large party and we would have to wait. Didn't offer to put us on a wait list. Could have simply had a sign reserved for a large party. It was so loud there I don't think we would have been comfortable eating there anyway. Also imagine the worst coffee you have ever drank and then add a half a cup of water to that with sweet and lows packets
4.5
Main hotel beautiful, food was very good, staff excellent! Room very small, would not be comfortable for a long stay (main hotel). Stopped 1 nite on way to Durango. Glad we did
4.5
This place is great. Especially if you want some Route 66 fun.

Lovely stay, hotel was perfect. The restaurant was really nice! We are doing the Route 66 and this hotel is a must! Security on outside the hotel at all times which was reassuring, loved our stay here

Loved all the history of the place...

Such a fun place to stay. We stayed in the Route 66 portion of the hotel and the rooms were recently and tastefully redecorated to reflect the Route 66 experience. Great shower, comfortable beds, and extra large tv. We also ate at the restaurant which was very good. Conveniently located off the interstate.

What a wonderful hotel !!! Just wow !!!

Best cozy place to stay in SF

Fantastic experience. So iconic, beautiful rooms with fantastic decor. Clean bathroom and comfortable bed. The 49er lounge has an authentic feeling to it whereas the main restaurant was a little more canteen style. The foyer is spectacular, gym and outdoor pool also available. Hotel staff were cheery and friendly.
