There was no refrigerator in my room for my protein shakes and yogurt. I need them for my diet., I had to walk down late to speak to the desk. The rep finally offered to give me a new room.

The hotel is nice, the location is great. Nothing special about it tho- it’s pricey and doesn’t include breakfast, you have to request cleaning service which is “meh”. We had a dog- dog rooms are on the 4 floor which is a long way to the dog patch to potty in the morning- our dog had a pit stop in the lobby more than once.

Superb as always.

The hotel is immediately available to the theatre in town and a very short walk to a variety of restaurants and shops. The Main Street is closed to cars and becomes a pedestrian mall. The restaurant and bar in the hotel are great, the staff are friendly and professional. Both thumbs up!

Stay was great as usual. Appreciate the non-slip mat in the shower. We brought our own non-slip bath mat in the event that you didn't provide one. If not, we place a bath towel in the tub to help us out. So, thank you! We LOVE staying at 24 South..... our fifth time. The lounge is great. Kudo's to Emily the bartender. Best Manhattans we've had in a public bar and she was fabulous. Had the wedge and pretzels from the kitchen. Kudo's as well. Love the atmosphere and the ambiance. Thank you for asking! We''ll be back from TN to Staunton for King Lear in March. In the meantime, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone in Staunton. Carry on!

24 South was a beautiful hotel, the former Stonewall Jackson hotel. We attended a family wedding and the reception was held in the beautiful conference room. Staff at reception, the wedding reception and breakfast were helpful and cheerful. Staunton is a lovely town with friendly people and great history. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Delightful stay! Room was spacious with a great view. Bed was comfortable as were pillows. Enjoyed cocktail and snack upon arrival. Coffee in the morning was good. Enjoyed our meal in the restaurant. Ate at the bar and got great service. The bellman gave extraordinary service at both arrival and departure. The only negative was the cost of valet parking. We felt $48/day was excessive and on top of that, they were slow bringing our car around.

Stayed here multiple times over multiple years. Big parking garage in the middle of town connected to the hotel. Nice beds. Always enjoyed the restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.

Nice hotel - loved the location, walkable to shops and restaurants downtown

This is a lovely, old fashioned and gracious hotel in a beautiful mountain town. Staff is delightful. So convenient to the Blackfriers Theater next door.
2.5
Nice historic, upscale hotel that is very close/walkable to downtown streets and wharf/railroad restaurants. Parking garage with elevator to lobby is very convenient. Cute bar area. Rooms were small but ample. The best choice is you want to stay in foot during your visit.

This is a beautifully maintained 1920’s property in an excellent location in an extremely walkable town. My only
Complaint is that restaurant service is not available every
Evening although many good restaurants are within walking distance. Also, there is no room service.

The hotel and staff were pleasant. The rooms have been renovated, are comfortable and clean.

The hotel is clearly old. The lobby is nice but the rooms need a facelift. Our lamp was burnt out when we got there. A refrigerator was supposed to be in the room according to the website but it wasn’t. When we asked about it they said it would be $10 a day to rent. When we mentioned it was listed as an amenity they said it’s “not guaranteed”. They finally agreed to waive the fee. Another guest mentioned that the pool and hot tub were grubby so we didn’t bother with that. We tried to get lunch at the restaurant/bar but there wasn’t any food in the daytime. Didn’t have a smart TV or any streaming options so you’re stuck with what’s on TV. Overall it just felt old and waaayyy overpriced for what it was and with so few amenities. Bed was comfy enough. The only reason to stay there is the location, which is fantastic and why they can get away with the high price. Service was adequate but nothing special. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Disappointing. No maid service. Garbage not emptied daily. Have to ask for towels. Bland room.

The hotel was beautiful. We love staying in ‘historic’ hotels. Everything was top notch with exception of the name. Realized this was the ‘Stonewall Jackson’. Historic hotel in downtown. History should not be erased. Why change the ‘historic’ name of a ‘historic’ hotel.

This property is within easy walking distance to much of downtown Staunton. It's a beautiful old building that has been restored and is a unique historic hotel that welcomes you in. The staff was helpful and the room was quiet and comfortable.

Small and basic room at a centrally located hotel next to Blackfriars theater. No complaints about the hotel…nice looking lobby and fine for a night’s sleep.

Bathroom could have been cleaned better. Nothing worse than finding someone else's short hairs on the shower wall. Location was great. Hotel was charming. Location was excellent. The staff were great. Breakfast buffet wasn't great for $15.00 each. Four stars overall.

This was a quick overnight stay en route to Nashville and it was lovely. Clean and pretty. A nice buffet breakfast for a very small price.

Great stay in great hotel in great town! This was my first time visiting, and I was extremely pleased. The hotel is on the older side, but is immaculately kept up. My room was clean and comfortable, the front desk check was easy and the employee was extremely quick and kind. Parking was super easy with an attached parking garage (free for guests). The hotel is in a very nice, walkable area with many shops and local restaurants near by. I travel through the area often for work, and now I’ll be planning my stops to be here!

Would highly recommend staying here as it is convenient to many restaurants and shops. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, professional and patient. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of items to choose from.

This was our 2nd stay here. It’s a great stopover on our way from TN to PA. Love the city and you can’t beat the Stonewall Jackson…uh…24 whatever for location.

It is a special place to visit - the hotel and Staunton!!! It is worth the visit just to stay in the hotel and visit Staunton!! Most friendly place I’ve visited in the U.S. in recent years!!! Walkable!!! Park your car and walk the streets visiting a plethora of shops and dining options. Food is fabulous wherever you go!!! People in town support all other businesses and are the kindest in giving directions/answering questions and even help making reservations!!! Wonderful stay and days!!!

Very pleasant place with a lot of old southern charm

We got a great deal on this beautiful hotel right near the center of town and next door to the theater. Not sure if we got the usual price, but I was not expecting such a nice hotel at this price. You can believe the 9 rating!

Great hotel. Can easily walk to downtown shops, brewery, eatery

Great and friendly staff. Rooms were clean as was the hotel itself. Centrally located.

The Hotel is beautiful and the staff was helpful. The room however was much smaller than it expected and while it was a very nice room the bathroom was almost claustrophobically small and it would have been nice if the water pressure was a little stronger. Other than that though the parking was easy and accessible to the hotel and everything was very beautiful.

Quaint close to a lot of shops, wasn't thrilled about parking, but the hotel does have a parking lot,and the attendie John ,was really helpful with who to speak to about restaurants around area.
And left me know to have key when leaving so i didn't have to pay.
Directed me to Nancy at visitor center.
Qebt to Remedys burgers,
Was not thrilled that is all that is on menu ate hamburgers.
And they are sorta like smash burgers i have had better and would have luked more items on there menu.
Was checked in immediately, staff was knowledgeable,
Tons are very clean would have loved a refrigerator, or microwave, but i was not there long, so for one night it was perfect.
I believe the facility accepts dogs.
Friendly staff.
