The staff are great; friendly and polite. The hotel was very clean however the condition is dreadful, well past its sell by date! Some major works need doing. The rooms are on the small size too, and do not have any tea/coffee making facilities. A shame because you can see the hotel has so much potential.
Great to be right on the beach, plenty of parking. The pool is a good size but again needs some TLC although it is cleaned daily.

The hotel and grounds were beautiful the area is limited for eating and you mostly need to drive

The hotel is near touristic attractions and there is easy parking, great pool, great restaurant.
But, the room was a little outdated, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the AC very very loud.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at Hotel Villa Romana. Not only was the stay itself subpar, but I also encountered a serious issue with theft and the hotel's refusal to address it appropriately.
1. Theft of $500:
During booking, I was overcharged by $500. I immediately reported this to the hotel management, expecting a swift and thorough investigation. Instead, I was met with indifference and denial. The staff was completely uncooperative.
2. Refusal to Refund:
After numerous discussions and escalating the issue to the hotel manager, it became clear that they had no intention of compensating me for the stolen money. The manager was dismissive and refused to take responsibility or offer any form of reimbursement. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable, especially given the seriousness of the situation.
3. Poor Customer Service:
Apart from the theft, the general customer service at Hotel Villa Romana was extremely poor. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, making my stay even more unpleasant. Simple requests were often ignored or handled with a bad attitude, which further tarnished my experience.
4. Room Condition:
The room itself was below standard. The cleanliness was questionable, with dirty carpets and a musty smell that persisted throughout my stay. The bathroom fixtures were outdated and poorly maintained, adding to the overall discomfort.
5. Lack of Amenities:
The advertised amenities were either unavailab

Great hotel right on the beach. As it was November there were hardly any bars/restaurants open in the evening as they had closed for the season. Hotel was lovely

Parking was easy although it was out of season. Right on the beach front. Hotel was clean and comfortable and offered a good breakfast.

Aircon not working for our 2 nights stay. I think it was since a few days looking at the comments. Nobody seems to care. They say it will be resolve by tomorrow morning (everyday) and that it’s not that bad…!! It was 28 degrees in our room. Our 7 months old baby is sleeping very well at night usually, and those 2 nights were terrible. Otherwise, the pool was very plaisant. Restaurant was ok, I would suggest to go explore other restaurant on the boadwalk.

Non-functional air conditioning, uncomfortable mattress, balcony communicating directly with the neighbors, shower door stuck in my hand.

Fabulous price for an elegant little hotel on the Mediterranean! The hotel has chaise lounges and umbrellas on the beach mere steps from the terrace swimming pool - a rarity in Italy.
I was traveling with a group of friends and they thoughtfully gave us all rooms on the same floor. Each room had a beautiful terrace with a sea view. Another thoughtful touch - clothes drying rack with clothes pins in the corner of each terrace.
Nice in-house restaurant and bar on the main floor plus many other choices nearby.
Hotel desk staff all speak English.

sad that the Sea view of Superior room was actually a car park and sea only visible if you looked round the side. Other Sea view room looked at neighbour building. the photo they'd used was from a locked corridor fire escape.
The desk manager was rude. Only the cleaners had smiles.

On its own the hotel was not bad though certainly no four stars. But the restaurant is to avoid. Beautiful setting with horrendous food, the worst we have ever experienced in Italy.

Hotel was clean and staff friendly. However, there was no hot water in the morning. Breakfast was very basic and quality below average. Roof was leaking and spots on the walls were everywhere ! Nice pool and close to the beach.

Staff at front NOT SUITED for working in service industry. Always MAKE YOU FEEL THAT YOU BOTHER THEM when asking for anything ranging from directions to information about restaurants in the town to getting an extra roll of toilet paper

Nice beach area and pool, although the swimming at the beach wasnt the best we found in Sicily. The restaurant was excellent, both breakfast and dinner. Easy parking. Staff was helpful.

Nice hotel on the beach. Free parking. Convenient for visiting Valley of Temples and Scala dei Turkey. Restaurant is good, we had an evening meal and it was very nice. Room was comfortable with a small balcony. You need a car if staying here

The hotel was nice, clean and the staff was very friendly. Luckily my family speaks Italian or I would have had some problems communicating. Breakfast in the morning was nicely done and again, service was friendly. The room my wife and I had was great, but my daughters room stayed hot as their AC did not function properly. That was the only downside of the hotel. And it is an easy 20 minute walk along the beach to the Scala dei Turchi.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay very much. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and our room was clean and spacious with a huge balcony and fabulour sea views. We were on a half biard package and breakfast and dinner were excellent. We ate lunches in the restaurant too and they were also very good.We used the hotels sunbeds on the beach which were comfortable and well spaced out.

This pleasant hotel is on the beach and has a large swimming pool besides. About 7 km from the temples in Agrigento and a half hour walk along the beach to the spectacular Scala dei Turchi, a geological formation of white cliffs. Nice breakfast and pleasant dining poolside.

The staff were very kind and welcoming, from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the housekeepers. It was great to be so close to the beach. The hotel was a little rundown, as it was most of the local area.

We were so surprised to find such a wonderful hotel, last minute and so close to Agrigento. The staff was really great as was the restaurant and the pool. The proximity to the Med was great and we were able to have a great walk on the beach.

Hotel is average, but has a nice large beach, free parking and good pool.
Dinner and breakfast were okay. Not a cozy hotel, but good for overnight stay. Nearby town is okay and Agrigento and valley of the temples the main attraction.

Nicely located right by the beach, but beach is not the best. Stay at the pool. A little difficult to find the right street to turn on but nicely secluded.
