Amazing from the time we checked in, until the time we checked out! Staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful ♥️

The property is well-maintained, very secluded, and very quiet.

Plenty of room in the cottage, private and great setting.

Overall the place was pretty nice with a friendly staff & a nice view. Nice wood flooring throughout the cottage. However the floors were very sticky and slippery at the same time throughout the entire cottage… even the bathrooms. Was like whoever washed the floor just dumped the soap all over and didn’t bother to rinse it off. Shoes socks everything sticky and kinda gross. Could be dangerous as well because it was very slick in some areas where soap was so thick.
Also, the TV was on its last leg. Very small and the speakers were going. One minute there would be sound then it would be out on and off. The smaller cottages are far from hotel making it inconvenient to drive over to go use the amenities such as the fitness center.

The location is excellent. The cottages are well appointed. Rooms are small and cozy.
The kitchen needs better cutlery and the pans need replacement.

Thought the property needs updating. Windows did not open properly. Doors creaked. Based on neighboring hotel, Inn of Bay Harbor, I expected higher quality construction of these units.

I emailed questions the very day of booking and several times after. NEVER received a reply from the property owner. After several phone calls to VRBO, I was at least assured the the reservation WAS on file. However, when I booked it said breakfast WAS included but never broke it out on the receipt. (BUT did charge us for it ). When I checked in, I was told we did get to come to the INN for breakfast. We did the first morning - then got a BILL. I went to the desk and they gave us vouchers to cover and said Expedia did not pay them for our breakfast. So the cottage was fine - but the overall experience was very stressful! Never hearing back from all my email communication was the worst. On one conversation with VRBO I asked if the property owner was even getting the correspondence - she said the email was "noreply" - you need to get that straightened out.

I loved the cozy feel of the cottage. My kids also loved the ping pong table in the basement. The only thing I noticed is that the cottage could use some painting inside and outside.

Beautiful cottage and great golf course view even know it was winter. It’s very cozy and pretty big. 3 bedrooms, one master on the first floor and two upstairs. Nice bathrooms and a gas fireplace.

Stayed here for two nights. I’m certain our stay may have been a little more relaxing and comfortable if the housekeeping staff would have cleaned. I was tired when we arrived to a refrigerator with food spilled in it. Crumbs in the drawers, coffee table, end table and dining table were sticky with food spills and food particles. None of the 3 bathrooms were swept & cleaned, rugs were dirty not vacuumed. Stove top & microwave had food and hand smears all over the front of it. Crushed Doritos’ and spaghetti noodles on kitchen floor. The King bed mattress was pulled away from the headboard only to expose an eyesore of filth. We thought someone was playing a joke on us at first only to realize it was not a joke. Not sure what happened to housekeeping as the only sign of their presence was a fresh roll of toilet paper and linens. I tried to message the owner using the app, but they never did reply. When I checked out, I reported it to the front desk and hopefully they will look into it and see what happened. That said, I would return if I knew for sure it was cleaned.

The cottages have great amenities and very comfortable. The rooms were not very clean and did not even appear to have been vacuumed. We found chips under the couch from a previous guest.

The cottages are nice, ours was at the end of the small block so not really lakeside as listed or shown. Both Queen bedrooms small and not marriott mattresses, so the comfort was so so. The property is beautiful but it just wasn’t worth the money for the two bedroom “lakeside” Would instead go stay 15 minutes away at Boyne Mountain where plenty of multi bedroom beautiful rentals at much less money are available. (Or stay In the hotel on property instead, better value).

This was a great cottage situated in the back of a golf course community. It was quiet, and except for the kitchen area, the layout is very roomy and was perfect for 6 people. The beds were comfy, 3 full baths, porches in front and back. The upstairs was a little stuffy in the warm weather and could use some fans. This unit is located across the street from Bay Harbor, so you have to drive to main building and pool, etc.

Great location, super clean, spacious, and comfortable. Wound definitely come back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Crooked Tree cottage. The only thing that could have made it better would be some upgrades to the carpeting and more coffee pods for the coffee machine. We packed a package of coffee to brew , but were unaware that we needed to pack kuerig coffee pods instead.

I have actually stayed at this same cottage previously so obviously I have enjoyed

Checking into the hotel was just okay, we did not feel like we very welcomed at the front desk by the clerk. We asked for some recommendations as to places to eat and kind of a cold shoulder. We decided not to ask for anything during our visit.

I can't believe we got this place for such a great price. We traveled in the fall, after peak color tour. The cottage overlooks the golf course with a view of Lake Michigan, beautiful. Three large bedrooms were clean and comfortable. It also has three complete bathrooms so there wasn't a long wait in the morning for showers. Everything is pretty modern except the showers where were a little dated but not horrible. The gas fireplace was perfect. It's just a short drive to town with lots of shopping and restaurants which for a girl's weekend was perfect. Things were starting to shut down for the season though; some shops and restaurants were closed. .

It was super convenient, yet relaxing to be set back a bit away from it all.

Beautiful views and facility. Highly recommended! We will be back again next summer.

Our expectations were high for our annual girls get together. Bay Harbor cottages exceeded our expections in every way rated. Bay Harbor Inn location and amenities provide a top value of any resort we have previouly used. Our cottage comfortably accommodated 5 women for 4 nights at a total cost of $60/night.

Very nice cottage. Did not realize it was across the street from the main resort hotel and amenities. It was on the golf course.

Nice free standing condo looking out on the golf course and water (way beyond). Comfortable for larger groups. Its a little tricky to find the unit and you need to make sure to check in at the main hotel first(1-2 miles away). Otherwise as described. Staff was very friendly and helpful. TV was a little small and it would be nice if they put either 2 twin beds or a king size bed in each room, but everything was very clean.

This was will not disappoint! We stayed this past weekend with my family and friends and had the best time. The accommodations are very nice and super family friendly (we stayed in the cottages). And you are so close to a couple different ski slope options! I highly recommend!

Very open floor plan in living area and kitchen and nice size bedrooms and all bathrooms have a shower and two of the three bathrooms have a tub as well.
Beautiful view of the golf course with a nice covered porch front and back.
Would defiantly stay there again and highly recommend renting the cottages.
Close to Charlevoix and Petoskey and many wineries!

The Cottages at Crooked Tree are great for small groups that want to stay together. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, they are well-suited for a family, for two or three couples, or a group of friends...for non-golfers, as well as golfers. The location (between Petoskey and Charlevoix) is great, and having access to the amenities of the Bay Harbor Inn is a real plus.

2 families - 7 people total stayed two nights. Included ski passes and buffet breakfast at the inn. The cottage was perfect. Three bedrooms, Three bathrooms, living room, kitchen, washer and dryer in the basement. Everything provided. Plenty of towels, etc. Everything in the kitchen you would need. The rooms were large and beds and furniture were comfortable. People waking early had could sit, talk, make coffee etc. and not disturb anyone else. Walls were very well insulated. You couldnt hear anything. This was not the swankiest place Ive ever stayed, but definely rate it as one of best or the best. Everything was very nice and very well maintained. Breakfast buffet at the inn was amazing. Anything you could possibly want - omlet station with cook, waffles, french toast, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, eggs benedict, fresh pastries, oatmeal, cereal, toast etc. We didnt have to eat again until dinner time. We never met the people who cleaned and provided towels, but the staff at the inn were very nice and very helpful as were the reservation staff who I called many times with questions before our arrival.
