Bad points
Customer service is the worse didnt even ask how my stay was ...
No one there on reception
First night i came down stairs where i was approached by someone from night club who said " do you fancy doing a line" wouldnt leave me alone drunk and of his face...
They do not section hotel from the night club/bar which they could of easily done
Food terrible
Never been to a hotel which cost £300 a night and couldnt even get a seat at a bar usually they have a guest section no attempt at all..
People from pub sitting in hotel lobby (really small) with a chair and table infront of lift)
Room needs revamping cario room and floor loose thick dust on the woodern wall ..
I would say potential to be 4 star plus however clearly a drug problem and staff needs training

Lovely hotel, great location, should have a price list and what is included in the mini bar as not clear.

A lovely hotel, really good check in and staff. It was only let down by the ridiculous lighting system in the room. No light switch, but a display and a series of small buttons which create different scenes. Sadly, the bedside lights did not turn off completely, despite multiple attempts. In the end, I removed the bulbs! I don't expect to have to do this!

The hotel's location and value for price was fine, however, there is a pub in the building and the night we were staying there was extremely loud until at least 2AM due to a "party" that evening. Our advice would be to determine if there are any late night "events" at the pub for the evenings you're planning on staying there.

Beautiful themed rooms, friendly hotel staff, comfortable accommodations with robes. Excellent location- highly walkable. My only complaint is the proximity of a very popular nightclub- the noise was unbearable until 4 am.

Went for Edinburgh Fringe. Near Scott monument with lots of restaurants near by and walkable to The Mile and centre of all the action. Easy access to bus, tram, train links. Clean and nice room size with a seating area. Would use again.

The perfect location for a few days in Edinburgh. The hotel was clean and updated with a spacious room and bathroom. Much larger than what one normally gets in UK or Europe. The hotel restaurant was great: we enjoyed the patio and room service!

Lovely hotel. Excellent rooms. But above a nightclub - no sleep until 4am. Worst ever hotel we’ve stayed in worldwide. Avoid.

Our stay at Le Monde was a highlight of our trip. When I booked, it was for the convenience of being near the area we wanted to be in. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and sent up to Atlantis... an aqua room with an aquarium over the headboard. The window nook was cozy and the bathroom spacious and modern. The air conditioning was amazing, as I like to sleep in the cold. We were able to chill the room without a racket of loud fans. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for visits to Edinburgh.

The hotel is very good, the food is very good, the problem is that even though it has two windows, the noise at night is terrible because many people stop to talk on the same platform until very late, so the noise is terrible at night. If it had good windows it would be an excellent hotel.

Your experience will largely depend on your room's proximity to their nightclub. My wife and I had a very quiet room (named Cairo), while our friends were unable to sleep in their room due to nightclub noise until 3am (their room was named Barcelona).
We find duvets too hot to sleep under, so we always remove them from their cover and simply use the cover as our top sheet. When uncovered, we saw that the duvet in our room was stained. Since we set it aside, it wasn't an issue, but a bit disconcerting.
Very conveniently located near the train station and all major sights.

A GREAT part of town on a picturesque street. Super cool room in an old building (it is Edinburgh after all). Friendly and helpful staff. We popped off to dinner at Dishoom, which was close by. We did have trouble figuring out the climate control in our room, which lead to a stuffy atmosphere making it difficult to sleep. We had only one night at Le Monde so we didn't bother to ask. We just opened a window. In spite of that I would stay there again because of it's location, cool room layout and staff.

Would have given 5 stars but had a really poor experience in dealing with a billing issue for breakfast. Asked to speak to the manager and told the manager was not available. Overall lovely accommodation and the lady who checked us in was fantastic. However the member of staff who dealt with us this morning really gave us the impression she was disinterested and we were bothering her 😢

The room was lovely and the staff were great. The room was just a bit noisy. Stay was dor business and you could hear music from downstairs until 1am. It could have been worse since I enjoy Destinys Child and Spice Girls, but not ideal when I had a busy day the next day. I would stay again if it were for leisure reasons as it was otherwise a pleasant stay.

We booked a suite which was very spacious but a little tired . The air conditioning didn't work so reception brought up a fan.
There was a club nearby that was very noisy at night until the early hours .
At £800 for two nights it was not great value for money

If you like dark rooms, meandering corridors, zero views, kitchen smells and the roaring voice of djs and loud music from the bar on the ground floor lulling you to sleep every night, then this the hotel for you.

Wonderful welcome from Emily. The hotel also accommodated an early check in, no feathers in my room and provided a yoga mat. Very impressed with the level of personal service both checking in and out.

We stayed for 2 nights in Milan--the room was spacious, clean and we loved the standalone tub for a relaxing bath at the end of the day. The bed was very comfortable. The location was amazing; right smack in the middle and walkable to everything. We wouldn't have been able to do so much in Edinburgh for a 2 night stay had it not been for the amazing location. There is an incredible amount of dining options near the hotel that is not "touristy". Would definitely stay again.

Very good option in Edinburgh downtown. Near everything, nice and comfortable rooms, good restaurant and bar.

Each of the rooms had a theme based on a different city which was very quaint. Only issue was some wear to the labels on the lights- meant it took me forever to try to figure out how to turn off the lights because all the labels had been rubbed off. Staff was wonderful though!

Overnight stay in Edinburgh. This place is excellent, furnishings, service, neighborhood, located near bus and train stations, not far from Royal Mile. Clean.

This was a business trip having stayed numerous times before. Unfortunately on this occasion my TV was faulty yet despite calling reception 6 times no one answered. A concern as they state there is someone on call 24 hours. As I was undressed I just accepted the tv was not working and it continued to go off intermittently. My biggest problem started at 10.50 pm when the couple next door came in, I heard her singling loudly as she entered. That’s when things got worse as she the started screaming and shouting at her partner. This went on till 1.20am when I could take no more and called reception and they did answer. I explained what was happening, the guy on the phone could hear as they were so loud. He offered to change my room but I really didn’t want to in the middle of the night and I felt very vulnerable being on my own. It’s not a nice feeling lying in bed listening to that ! I asked if they could be spoken to and heard 2 knocks at their door. They didn’t answer and luckily went quiet but my this point I was wide awake. I know they had paid for a room and it’s a difficult situation for a hotel but I was not happy. The next day I expected an apology or something but the girl didn’t ask about my stay or mention anything so I asked to speak to the manager. He did come and apologised but I was not offered anything further. I don’t think would stay again after this.

Amazing stay, fabulous staff. We were staying to celebrate my friends birthday and were lucky enough to get a complimentary upgrade, the room was stunning, we couldn’t have hoped for better. Lots of nice touches including a beautifully presented plate of choc covered strawberries, complementary Prosecco and a birthday banner. It’s been a long time since I’ve received such exemplary service at a hotel. I can’t wait to have an opportunity to stay again.

Very warm and welcoming, the hotel is in a great position for all of the bars and restaurants whilst still being quiet enough to rest. We were greeted by Tatiana, on both arrival and departure, who was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. A real credit to the hotel so please pass on our sincere thanks.

Style of property very nice. Friendliness and efficiency of staff excellent.
Minor details were the shower door jammed as hinge had dropped and decor was a bit tired. Lighting was unusual and did not function properly.
Main downside was the noise late at night and into early hours from nightclub and street. Probably be best to avoid Friday and Saturday stays. We would be happy to revisit Sunday through to Thursday!

Care taken with the interior design of each themed room. Spacious room, central location but nice and quiet at night. Helpful local Scottish staff.

Wonderful location. Very nice hotel, and brilliant cocktail bar. Room also very nice, if a bit aged e.g light buttons all gone so needed to use nails to poke toilet light on/off.
Stay was perfect, right up until 11pm when we discovered we were directly over a night club queue/smoking area which was lively and kept me awake up until 3.30am. Ruined our anniversary after starting so well. Don't understand how this feedback hasn't been given before so a simple fix with better windows could fix it. Receptionist said this was sometimes a problem and brushed it off which peeved me.

The attitude of the receptionist is enough to. It want to stay at this hotel again. She is not customer friendly and doesn’t give the guest the best impressions of the hotel both at check in and check out
4.0 / 10.0
Very noisy stay overnight with security entering both rooms next to us due to some disruption

First time at this hotel and loved it. It is in a perfect location, central to everything for walking. The rooms are darling, each designed on a location in Europe. The bed was comfortable, staff was lovely. Will definitely be our hotel for when we stop again in Edinburgh.
