The best part of the stay was the fabulous breakfast with a real coffee pot at the table and a lot of food choices. It was reasonable walking distance to Rhine river and cathedral.

Overall I think this can be classed as a Good Hotel. It is old style German a tad dated but actually reasonable value for money.

Overall very nice and quite clean and well-appointed. Like many small European hotels, there is not A/C, which is sort of okay - if you can sleep with street noise. The street quiets down but the adjacent large throughway on Hansening becomes very busy quite early. The hotel is very convenient to many places and the staff is helpful. Our main issue was with the Wifi, which did not reach very well to our floor. In order to look up local things or even request Uber, I found I had to go down to the lobby and stay there while doing so.

It's like time-traveling to the 1970ies or maybe the eighties. Everything is vintage. Pretty cool, but the bed was VERY firm. That could be a problem for some. Also, there was no reading light by the bed. But, for one night it was a different and cool place to stay.

The staff are marvelous, breakfast is very good. The problem with this hotel is the beds and the parking. They do the standard " Queen or twin" beds but only offer twins pushed together. The duvets are tiny and barely cover you. No one would book a hotel with twin beds only, so they say Queen when available - so when you complain about getting twin beds, they say oh it says only when available. They have Queen headboard lol but with two twin beds beneath it. It's incredibly uncomfortable. The parking is around the next block, and you have to pick up the fob from reception, go pick up your car, and then park in the middle of the street to turn the fob lol. Very annoying. Clean but dated.

This hotel is in a great location. 15 minutes walk from the historic downtown. The hotel also offers inexpensive gated parking about a one minute walk away. Room was very clean and up to date. Management was very helpful. Breakfast was also very good.

The rooms we stayed in were clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff were all very friendly. We were in the basement but that did not affect our comfort. Lovely shower, very comfortable beds (best nights sleep I had had in ages) and lovely buffet breakfast. If I had to find fault there were no tea or coffee making facilities but I’m sure if I had asked they would have accommodated my request. If I go back to Cologne I would stay at this hotel as it was near the underground making travel around the city easy but also it was only a 10 minute walk to the town centre for the more energetic of us!!!

This was a great hotel, close to many sights within walking distance. We arrived with a rental car and opted to use an underground parking facility nearby also within walking distance. This hotel apparently offers paid parking but we never sought this out. The room was well presented and very clean, hotel staff were welcoming. I would stay here again.

Staff super helpful. Booked an economy room- turns out it’s down stairs, but the Expedia ad didn’t say this but the staff ensured I was aware and it wasn’t a problem. Rooms tidy and comfortable, bed was good, shower and pressure was great. No fridge or tea/coffee facility in the room. Breakfast very cheap and good if on a budget. Hotel parking was easy. Staff helpful

Room was good, spacious, tidy and modern, very nice bathroom. Staff pleasant, breakfast was good, including my own coffee pot. The area is a little boring,but still close enough to the railway station, and certainly safe and clean. Wifi was better downstairs in the breakfast room. Some stairs to room.

When i was in this hotel, the next door were having bad fight husband and wife. They carried on whole night and next day morning. The noise was clearly load and made me think the could be few men and forcing the lady to work in illegal sex industry of so called Grermany. The management of the hotel bear responsibility to maintain peace and quiet atmosphere. Other than this the hotel staff were good and helpful. The location is great!

Passage through Kolh of a couple in a wedding couple, the very good room and the bathroom all new and clean, the bufeet is fully sufficient to regain strength and also fully recommended the parking feet that is practically impossible to park in Kolh. I recommend 100x100 this hotel.

This is a good little hotel in a great part of Cologne. It's a direct shot from the train station and about a 10 minute walk. The hotel is on a quiet street and close to a bunch of brewpubs and bars. The room was clean and a good size. My only criticism would be that the advertised free wi-fi was very weak in our room and not very strong in the lobby either. Other than that, this was an ideal place for us!

First, the hotel with a lot of bags is not within walking distance from the Main Train Station in Cologne, Germany. When we got there, the room was not ready, but we were early. Second, the sleeping area and bathroom were very small. The furniture in the room was clean, but well used as if one had purchased it in a second-hand shop for penny on the dollar. The staff was helpful and could speak English.

On a tour of Europe, we stopped in wonderful Cologne and this hotel came up pretty high on our Hotels.com search. The hotel was clean, located in a good area that was close to the ring. The man at the front desk did not speak English very well, good thing we had a German friend translate for us. Other than that, its close to where you want to be in the city for nightlife.

Above expectation: when looking at the picture of the hotel (choose another picture guys) and considering the price, I expected a reasonable hotel. Although the room was maybe a little (but just a little) outdated: everything worked, was clean, the breakfast was good, the bed comfortable, the location (15 minute walk from Central Station) convenient and the staff friendly and helpful. If you just need to stay somewhere for a couple of nights and you don't fancy the frills: recommended. Thanks guys, will come again if I need to be in Cologne.

We had booked a double room via this site but when we arrived only a twin was available, so we had to sleep apart, so not a good start at all. Other than that though, we had a nice comfortable stay. The decor is rather old fashioned, but the place is clean and there are literally hundreds of TV channels available. Is there really demand in Cologne for BBC 1 Channel Islands?

The Windsor suited all of our needs-they had a decent European breakfast buffet (we paid extra for it, but it was still cheaper than eating in a restaurant), the room was clean and comfortable and spacious, and the staff was polite and ready to assist (if you needed any assisting). It's in a quiet neighborhood a bit away from things (but within easy walking distance)-but that was perfect for us since we went during Karneval and didn't want to be kept up all night anyway. The only issue we had was with noise within the hotel. The walls weren't very thick...every time people came up the stairs (behind our heads) during the night, we woke up. Same with doors shutting. Also, the curtains were dubious in their duty as privacy screens...so they definitely didn't keep any light out-luckily we brought eye masks. We probably should have used ear plugs, too. But again, we were there during Karneval, so people were generally up later and a bit rowdier ;) All in all, the Windsor was a comfortable place to stay and definitely suited our needs.
