We were upgraded which was lovely, super room.
Staff friendly, excellent breakfast. Nothing to moan about. Close to major attractions and shopping.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Location of hotel in good location, close to all major attractions in Edinburgh, but still away from the main road which meant very quiet. Check in efficient. Lots of eco friendly touches which I appreciated. Breakfast buffet good, but service slow, asked for coffee twice on one morning and just left it because didn’t want to ask again. My main issue was the room in which I was allocated, at a cost of £300 per night (£600 in total). It was tiny. Thankfully just myself as there would be NO way two people could comfortably stay in that room as advertised. Advertised as king bed, it’s a queen bed at best, a king bed could NOT fit in that space. If cases left on floor, no room to walk around room. I could touch most walls and door comfortably from bed as so cramped. A very oddly placed chair and table at bottom of bed, when sitting on this knees were lodged against cabinet, beyond uncomfortable. Not sure where the other person is supposed to sit in this “double” room, perhaps in the bathroom? When I enquired, I was told that the correct room had been allocated. Feel completely cheated for such a costly stay. Whilst others seem to have had a much better experience from looking at the reviews.

Another wonderful stay at Ten Hill Place. Lovely spacious room. Extremely clean with all modern amenities. Good breakfast. Can’t wait to return.

Very nice hotel in a location not too far from the Royal Mile. We walked from the hotel to Edinburgh castle and up and down the Royal Mile. It was in a quiet location and the rooms are really nice.

5 people in our group with 3 rooms. We enjoyed the location. Walked everywhere including Hollrood and the Royal mile to the Castle. Staff were very helpful. I suspect parking may be difficult but we picked up our rental car the day we left on our drive around Scotland however it was hard to find a place to load the van. No Parking near the entrance. We did not eat at the hotel

The hotel isn’t bad in and of itself, but for the price we paid, I was incredibly underwhelmed. I will start out by saying that the staff was excellent. We did have several issues, but they made sure to offer what they could to fix the situation. So that’s what kept it at a 3 star stay.
To start we were assigned a handicap room that we did not request. When asked, the staff could only say that it was what was available (though we booked it over a year in advance.) They offered to move us to another room the next day, but we had already unpacked everything and didn’t want the hassle.
One day our room was not cleaned well. The bedding (which was supposed have been changed) had stains on it and the bed was haphazardly made up. There was a big ball of hair left in the bathroom. Again, the staff was highly apologetic and the head of housekeeping came in to clean personally. They also compensated us with a free breakfast. (Though it was not noted and we had to explain during checkout why we shouldn’t have been charged for it.)
Lastly, there was a planned outage so service could be done on the lighting system (or something.) This was known about in advance but no warning was given. So my mother, who stayed at the hotel while I went to a conference) was without lights for six hours.
So while the hotel is fine and the staff are great, I expected a lot more for the price we paid for the room. It was not a luxury/boutique experience.

A perfect stay in Edinburgh. Excellent location walkable to anything in town center. Remarkably comfortable and clean, with excellent and friendly staff. I will return here for future Edinburgh trips!

The room I stayed in was meticulously cleaned. The bed sheet was the crispest and the cleanest I have ever felt ( I travel a lot and stayed in 5 different hotels in just the last 7 days). Still think about how wonderful I had slept in that clean room and comfortable bed

We had a great 4 Nights at THP hotel. Checked in at noon and of course they weren’t ready yet, but they stored our luggage and when we got back at 5 it was all moved up to our room, jack was great.
Our room was on 3rd floor and we had back out blinds, ac, and it was super quiet, so this place checked all our boxes. 10min walk to the royal mile, we walked everywhere, even out to leith and back. Very walkable city if you don’t mind a few stairs. Lovely spot, much quieter than the hotels around the royal mile or nearer the Avery train station. Full marks ten hill place.

Lovely hotel away from the hussle and bussle and close to lots of restaurants and a 10min walk to the centre and the royal mile.
nice decor and facilities

The room is big and clean
I’d like to have some cotton sticks or a shower cap, water bottles and a coffee maker like if all good quality hotels.
The breakfast is ok, however I’d prefer it to start slightly earlier than 8 o’clock as it was absolutely packed at the start of service since everyone wanted to have breakfast first thing in the morning and go explore the city.
The hotel is expensive but it didn’t really feel this way.

This hotel was good not great. Rooms have great storage space and super clean. Beds could have been bigger. The location felt safe but the nearby dining options could have been better. It’s close to most major sites. The restaurant inside the hotel was probably the worst food in town. Definitely avoid. We also had to pay for slippers which was odd given that this is complimentary at hotels. The staff weren’t as friendly as the locals. Overall it’s a good choice. 8 out of 10

Can't say enough about the amazing concierge at Ten Hill Place! So helpful and pleasant! Many thanks.

Our stay was very comfortable. The property is centrally located with lots of option for dining nearby, if you don't want your meals in the hotel. The staff was very informed and generous with recommendations about places to eat. Our room was on the street side and I could hear voices of people passing by outside; next time I would ask for an inside room. Staff were able to call taxis who arrived within five minutes. We appreciated the free drinks coupons and thought the towel warmers were a great luxury.
My only negative comment involves no plug-ins in the bathroom, which makes it difficult to use the hair dryer. When I asked why, I was told it was a safety hazard, which I feel is going overboard.

Located very conveniently. Disappointed that parking was not available and had to park in a public lot.

Good hotel in the middle of the festival area which was actually quiet! Only real complaints were with the building due to age - noisy pipes and bright smoke alarm lights.

This property has good location with walking distance to city center and attractions. Staffs are friendly and room is clean and comfortable with big space. The food is pretty at at hotel's cafe, good quality and reasonable price. The only issue is no enough parking space, that I spent 30 GBP per night at nearby parking lot. Other all, it's pretty good choice to stay at Edinburgh.
