First they gave us a room that wasn’t even cleaned from previous occupants, then they changed it to a room with broken air conditioner, we spent terrible night with temperature outside of 27 degrees was not possible to open the windows. We planned to stay in this hotel for 3 nights but left before that. Only one positive thing was location

This doesn’t live up to the photos on Expedia. It’s pretty old and is right on an extremely busy tourist lane.

The location of the hotel

This was in the heart of the old part of town, which was perfect but noisy. Everything was wonderful except the noise level from the street. This went on until 1-2am. Room 300 is just above the fray. If you want to sleep, ask for different room.

Pros: Location! Right in the heart of Aix centre. And, there is an elevator & continental breakfast is included.
Cons: Air conditioners barely worked. The coolest temperature was 28 Celsius / 82.4 Fahrenheit. This was the 1st room that I was assigned. I was able to switch rooms but 2nd room was only slightly cooler 25 Celsius / 77 Fahrenheit. No option to increase fan speed from low. Thankfuly I brought a handheld portable fan so at least i could have air circulation.

excellently located. A small hotel, but rooms are comfortable, the wifi works well, and the staff is friendly.

The young lady at the front desk could not have been any more kind. She gave amazing restaurant recommendations and flagged that we were headed to the wrong Provence train station, saving us time and a lot of delays.
Location was in the middle city with lots of nightlife in the area. Walkable to the city attractions.

We were allowed check in an hour early which was great but on check in they asked for a credit card and put a €200 hold on the card in case we “broke anything” absolutely ridiculous considering the room was so basic. No where on the hotels.com booking site or the hotels site did it mention this charge. Hotel very central but only a reception desk with tiny lobby and no bar. Perfect location right in center but a musky smell in the room and the view from bedroom window very dirty with cigarette butts thrown around. This courtyard view could be a lovely feature but just looked dirty and uncared for. I was told the €200 hold should be put back on my card in 2 days.

Room was unclean with dust balls all over.

I found that the picture used in the confirmation email was misleading as it is from a room in a different category than what we booked. The staff was great in upgrading us after i noted that our room (#403) was not as described and more importantly smelled mold terribly. The second room (#100) was much nicer except for the floor caving in on one side of the bed, which felt like we were going to go through the floor. We manage to avoid it and all went well for our 2 night stay. The breakfast was very diverse and plentiful. The staff was super professional and nice.

It seems that they had rarely cleaned the floor of our room. Don’t want to gross you out by describing. I was admonished by front desk for not telling them earlier- like it was my fault that the floor was not clean. We did get one free breakfast as a sort of compensation.
Amenities are very few in the name of eco conscious. Asking for them is uncomfortable as someone from the front desk has to bring them to you.
Downstairs nice and welcoming. Breakfast nice, but average. Lots of business travelers and very good location!

The hotel was wonderful and the location cannot be beat. Parking is a bother. Park at Parc Rotonde and you'll be fine.

The photos did not resemble the reality. Photos looks nice while the room was pretty poor. Location was good.

This hotel is a bit shabby, with a very modest lobby. However, our room was clean and quiet, and the bed very comfortable. The bathrooms were nicely remodeled. The location was outstanding. We could walk everywhere! The front desk and cleaning staff were very responsive, going above and beyond. The breakfast was quite good, served in a lovely room. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is situated perfectly and is lovely staff friendly and excellent service
Only downside is the place looks tired needs a freshen up
Apart from that it was very nice and comfortable 👍

Small hotel in an excellent location - many cafes and restaurants nearby. Room was clean and good sized. Breakfast was simple but good - breakfast staff was excellent. The hotel is simply a hotel, though - if you’re looking for amenities, it doesn’t have many. But if you just need a quiet, comfortable room, it’s a good choice.

A clean well lit small space. Very convenient in the center of town.

Good value for money, in central location

Nice hotel just inside old town Aix. Located on a small public square with numerous bars and restaurants, it can get a little noisy at night, making sleeping with the windows open almost impossible. Unfortunately, the hotels HVAC system had not yet transitioned from winter heating mode to summer A/C mode, making for an uncomfortably warm sleep.

Everything was great – except that I misunderstood and thought that the breakfast was included in the price - Not €18 more for each person

Although parking is not available, public parking is nearby and a short walk. This hotel is right in the heart of the dining and social center, although noise wasn't an issue at night. Excellent room with beautiful views, excellent breakfast and staff was courteous and attentive.
