This was a night stop for a long journey. The hotel accepts dogs, has free parking, comfortable, quiet rooms, and a good restaurant. It met our needs. We did not visit the centre of Valence, so it's location close to the motorway was convenient for us. The evening meal in the restaurant was great. You need to book, though; it's very popular.
We were not disturbed by the building work on the new spa, perhaps because of a public holiday. Some might want to check whether the construction working hours are likely to disturb their stay. The spa will be great when it's finished, I'm sure.
We were very happy with our stay and would definitely consider staying again.

Very nice hotel. We got in late and left early, but the breakfast was very nice.

Food is good, personel is friendly. Room didn't have curtains. Good if you are traveling through.

The receptionist on arrival was extremely helpful and breakfast was excellent.
Since our last stay, the rooms had been redesigned. Some idiotic architect had thought it was a good idea to put the basin and shower in an open area at the back of the room. Who wants a steam filled bedroom? There’s also a huge TV screen that rises up from the bottom of the bed.

The hotel was fine, but two problems. It is difficult to find at night - no signage. The basin in our room did not work properly and was smelly. The staff gave us a refund for this. Excellent food in the restaurant and helpful staff.

Excellent, only minus quite an expensive dinner

On arrival we found the advertised high speed internet was not available in our room so we went to ask to be moved. We were told the hotel was full and no other rooms were available. We eventually got moved to another room. On entering the room there was a very strong odour of stale smoke (but at least the internet worked!) We also noted the toilet smelled of urine and the room was not as clean as it should have been. Considering the cost of the room and they advertise themsleves as four stars we expected a lot better than we got and think that it is certainly over priced . The only good thing about the hotel was the lady in the dining room serving breakfast. All in all a very disappointing hotel, so much so that I will no longer book Best Western hotels.

This stay was all about the restaurant. Excellent menu and well prepared and presented food- good wine list - reasonable prices for the quality. Just be prepared to wait for your order to be taken and drinks to arrive if you are seated behind a number of other diners - be patient it was worth it.
The rooms are a different story. It’s a modern hotel with a number of upmarket features in the rooms. Tiny bathroom but with a very nice shower, but no heated towel rail (in fact no towel rails???). Espresso machine that sent more water to the drip tray than to the cups. Tiny narrow toilet that was separate from the bathroom (we don’t like to have to move rooms for hand washing). In room music center that we could not get to work.
Easy parking and simple access from major highway ( unless your GPS sends you through the town)
The only reason we might stay again would be the restaurant.

Nice Hotel; but as usual in France the restaurant was closed on a Sunday night. Town of Valence very poor for finding a restaurant open on Sunday evening! - Stressful.

Difficult to find, No indication of the hotel as you approach.
Restaurant closed of which we had no notification, Very limited choice of local restaurants open on a Sunday. Had just had a long drive so we were not keen to go out hunting for restaurants. Had expensive drinks in the hotel which could not supply nuts or crisps. Generally looking as though needs an injection of money

We stayed twice having booked to go down to the South and on return. The hotel is being renovated but is now largely finished. Scaffolding was down on our return and finishing touches were being done like uneven concrete outside the first floor lift. Our main problems were cleanliness and noise. It is by a dual carriageway, the N7. We had a balcony room. Despite the renovation the windows were so poor you could hear voices from the restaurant below at 11.30. The traffic was noisy at 5.30am. Better windows should have been on the shopping list. Secondly the rooms were dirty. Despite recent works, there was no noise or sign of workmen. Yet the telephone was covered in dust and clearly hadnt been wiped for ages.similarly the bedside lights on a novel, and in both rooms broken branch of wood a fair was covered in thick dust. Long hairs on the floor when we entered for the first time. We didnt have a plug in our sink. Wife speaks French and asked down at reception. The sink must have been blocked and he maid removed it. Does it bother you?. Well looking down a drain does but te response was a shrug of the shoulders, not even an apology. That was ar 4.30 pm. The restaurant had excellent and very tasty food and the service wonderful but the price was high at €33 for steak and potatoes. It was a really good steak. The pool was great but they are finishing the turfing still.Great position but needs shake up re management. Wont return.

You did not inform us of the scheduled maintenance. We struggled to sleep due to noise levels (works continued from 7.50 am to 11.35pm). The pool you advertised did not even exist. We had no toilet paper on the final night. The 24hr bar was shut when we tried to buy wine at 10pm. The food was over priced and the lounge was closed throughout our stay. When we checked out there was an eight year old boy behind the reception desk. The whole experience was frankly dreadful. This hotel makes faulty towers look like a five star retreat.

Started badly, we were left standing at reception waiting to check in whilst staff dealt with restaurant customers. When someone did acknowledge us they were friendly and got us checked in. We only wanted a snak after a long drive but they only had the resturaunt on site, no bar or lounge for snacksWe therefore drove into town to find fast food The be was very good as was the room and bathroom and we both had a good nights sleep. The site has secure on site parking which is free. We didnt have breakfast as we felt it was too expensive based on what we normally eat

Close to the motorway. Looks a little jaded. Initial room downstairs awful (although clean). Asked to be moved .... huge improvement. Room quiet and recently updated, fabulous garden and pool. Pool not heated.

Nothing really bad about my stay. The only thing that drives me crazy about most European hotels (this was no exception) is the inability to control the thermostat in the room. Thank goodness the outside temps were pleasant! I was able to open the balcony door and keep the indoor temperature cool. The hotel staff was very helpful with all of our needs. The wi-fi didn't work for my colleague at the end of the hall, so make sure you get a room close to the lobby. Other than that, our stay was acceptable.
