Hotel is located in a great area, train station just a block away. Great food and restaurant nearby. Staff is great. Rooms are kept clean and tidy. Will stay again.

Very noisy area at night and holidays, impossible to sleep, also no friendly and willing to pick up the bags to take to the rooms.
The breakfast with no varieties and the waiter taking the eagles with his hands to serve the guests ( disgusting ) also staff not friendly to work with guests.
I would not return to this hotel.

It's a noisy neighborhood, loud music, but great area for being centrally located, excellent staff, but one issue, they charged me for two dinners they said I didn't pay, but could not provide a receipt ( sign a slip after every dinner) and I always paid cash COP.

There is no safe in the room (as mentioned on the room description on Expedia) only at the reception and full on the day of my arrival, so first 24 hours no safe !
Very noisy place, like read noisy even on the 8th floor, specially on weekends.
Wifi working very intermittently and with very poor bandwidth.
A shower with a slow drain and bad slope so the water in there never dries up.
Noisy Air Condition unit to keep your noise pollution even when things quiet down on the street.
Don’t expect a coffee station (even in what they call the suite)
About the suite, manage your expectation it is nothin more then a little larger then average room with a king size bed.
One lady at the reception (Laura) is extremely rude and condescendant with very unpleasant attitude.
Don’t expect much english speaking staff (but this did not bother me I worked on my little Spanish)
This place has potential to be something nice but for now the energy is overall very negative, it feels more like a public service formalities center than a hospitality business, forms and papers and signatures and restrictions.
For the area, there are a lot of bars in the Area if you’re in for the night life (I was not) but don’t expect good for in the area if you like eating well.
In brief, use this place as a last option, I found out at my expense that there are many better options for that price and I honestly don’t understand how the rating of this place is not much lower.

The room was extremely small and it doesn’t seem like the receptionist was moved by my comment about the room size. Other than that I had a great say

I brought my Colombian fiancé here for Valentine’s Day because I had 3 previous great stays. I needed documentation for the fiancé visa application to prove that we were in the same hotel. They refused. They said only Expedia could give me a receipt. Expedia did not require the ID of my fiancé, so I have no proof.
Also, the toilet in the room never worked properly. The constant running water made it difficult to sleep.

It’s billed as a business hotel but it’s in a night club district. The patrons also are noisy and the walls are thin. The staff is great though.

Room was a bit too small, but overall a very neat hotel experience!

The room is nothing like in the photo, bathroom was really small, bedroom was really small and uncomfortable too, air conditioner was broken, isolation was poor. I reported this to the front desk and their response was that if I didn’t like it I could search to stay in another hotel! We had 5 rooms reserved in this hotel and all the rooms were in this condition. Do not stay in this hotel it was a bad experience. Didn’t even eat breakfast in the hotel.

Rooms are ok, but isolation is poor, needs improvement otherwise people can’t sleep, one of our rooms were very noise (303) beds are comfy though, air conditioning works properly, breakfast bad (bed quality ingredients such ham and coffee, not many options so we had to have breakfast next door restaurant which were great and they had omelette, reception staff grumpy, local amenities are great just by the 70, with restaurants, pharmacies, bakeries all next door, we found the location safe, bell boys are nice and pleasant.

Decent little hotel with nice staff but in a noisy neighbourhood. Very convenient for those who want to party at night.

Overall, the hotel is not bad given the price, but some employees are disrespectful and rude. Might need additional training on hospitality.

A Nightmare Stay: Hidden Fees, Assault, and Awful Service
My recent 9-day stay at this hotel was a total nightmare. Despite prepaying through Expedia, they slapped me with a shocking $100 check-in fee upon arrival, never mentioned during booking.
I had booked a room for two, including breakfast, though I was alone. This became crucial when a medical emergency led me to call my two brothers. Shockingly, the hotel staff initially denied them entry, citing a two-person limit, despite booking their most expensive room. It took a heated argument to get them in.
During checkout, they insisted I owed an extra $50 for my "two guests." I explained I had booked for two but only I stayed, and there was a medical emergency. I asked them to provide written policies for these extra charges and they couldn’t.
When I refused to pay, Heidi, a staff member, called the manager, Juan Tores. He aggressively rushed out to my Uber, tried to force open the car doors, and even grabbed my arm, trying to pull me back in. When I recorded this on my phone for evidence, he tried to snatch it away. All this, after paying over $1,000 for my stay. Lastly, the hotel's wifi continually cuts out and a shower leak causes bathroom flooding.
I strongly advise against staying here. It's not just about hidden fees or poor service; it's about unethical practices, scams, and, in my case, physical assault when I refused to be a victim. Your safety and peace of mind are worth more than the risk of staying here.

I stay here often and like the location even though the nearby nightlife on 70 can get noisy. It's a city. You expect to hear the city so I don't expect the quiet of the countryside. The staff is terrific and I appreciate that there is onsite parking below. Rooms are always clean and tidy and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is a nice touch though nothing fancy. Waite staff in the dining area are also top-notch. I will continue to frequent Hotel Egina as long as it remains price competitive and the facility and staff focused on a very good experience for the traveler.
