Don't stay here. This is a terrible Hotel
5.0
Great location for our NYC visit. Parking was available and increased our feeling of safety. Check in by text didn’t go as smoothly as desired, but the hotel was quickly responsive and helped us get it straightened out.
The noise from the hall was disruptive on Saturday night.
There is no breakfast here. Coffee is in the room. It’s a walk to get food.
The front desk is staffed with knowledgeable and helpful people. Rooms were clean. This might be our new favorite for annual trips to the city.

This was a fantastic hotel! Really friendly staff, and the room was incredibly spacious. Convenient location, and plenty of protected parking. This place is a real gem.

This is our 3rd and last stay here. It’s clear the hotel is just not being up kept well. Other times we’ve paid less and gotten a king suite room this stay we paid more than we ever have and got a horrible queen room. The bathroom lights didn’t work, the outlets half worked, the room itself was probably the worst room in the hotel so dark and the pillow are meant for a baby. So loud all night long and in the morning. There’s no way it’s worth the money you pay on top of having to pay for valet. We’ve come for weddings each time and are glad we don’t have another wedding coming up here.

Hotel room was very clean, hotel staff were great and the location was decent (not ideal but still within walking distance of 3 subway stations). It served our purposes perfectly and was great value for staying in New York.
However, there were some issues. I had a problem before my stay and getting responses over phone, hotels.com messages and emails were impossible until the day before. Also, there seemed to be some loose tiles in the hotel room and bathroom. Finally, the elevators we're making very worrying noises. I hope these get fixed because the stay was great otherwise.

Apology for the bad review but I wanted to be honest to help improve it…
Our ravel room (405) was very unclean in terms of the bathroom and room.
The shower drain was backed up and would not go down while showering. Lots of mold around the drain so you’re showering in a pool of mold.
Toilets also do not flush properly. Clogged during our entire stay. Also extreme amounts of black mold in bathroom sick if you take a look at the holes.
Aside from the bathroom, extremely dusty rooms around the night stand table tops and tv tops. I also wish the maintenance would at least repaint the scuffed walls and cover the baseboards properly. Had to kill a few bugs during the stay as well.
I would probably not recommend to stay at this hotel and not a 4 star experience.

Didnt saw that the pool and the bar is not open. Didn’t knew it. And the staff told me after my check in and after i asked them. That’s why i booked it there. For the pool and the bar.

Perfect location outside Manhattan!! It helped us to get a better price!! It is a half a mile away from a subway station that takes you everywhere. Walking from the hotel to the station is easy altough at night it is a little lonely but we don't witness anything dangerous. Extra comment: Green Valley business, which is next to the stairs to the subway station, is a wonderful place to eat something healthy. Also, they're open 24 hours!!

Loose door safety hinge, fly droppings (specks) on fire alarm, smelly and confusing entrance area, discontinuation of breakfast and exorbitant rates for parking came as rude surprises.

I was a guest here and the room I was given had a bad odor. The shower was very dirty looking and for the money that they were charging for the room type I had it was very poorly cleaned. I immediately went to front desk requesting a room change and the second option wasn’t much of a difference. After a very try long day of traveling I settled for the second option. I felt unsafe my entire stay the doors kept rattling as if someone was playing with the door handle, the hallways were very noisy and there was always loud noises within the hotel that was heard through the thin walls. The stock photos of the property were quite deceiving because the presentation of the actual rooms look NOTHING like the website photos. I was very uncomfortable during my stay here and will not waste my time booking here again. Please safe yourself the hassle staying here. You’re better off looking somewhere else.

Room was "bare bone" and not very clean.
The neighborhood is the pits. Very dirty and noisy.
On the plus side, the front desk staff was good.

The location was great. I just wish it weren't so industrial right next to the hotel but I appreciated the low to no traffic at the same time. So, I'm not sure I would change that. Maybe if there were a restaurant on the property it would have helped. Also, the shower tiles needed to be cleaned better. It took away from the experience of the room which was top tier. The balcony was amazing and the views...wow! The hotel overall was great and I would stay there again if the price was right.

Clean and modern

The staff were mostly helpful. The room was a good size with sufficient towels.
The room floor, cupboards, and drawers were dirty. The coffee maker was dusty and filter was dirty.
This hotel has the potential to offer comfort and relaxation, but attention must be paid to cleaniness in and outside of the rooma.

The hotel very clean, good service. But the location is not so safe at night.

No restaurants at all. Closest one a 10 minute walk through industrial area. Only 1 bar operating and it was closed for private party. Got there 3:00 for 7:00 wedding ( which they did a great job) and couldn’t get a drink or a bite to eat. Will definitely cause me to think twice about staying at any Wyndham property.

The pool is advertised but you have to pay to attend the “club”

Ravel states on their website there is a pool. When we wanted to use it with our 5 year old we were informed it was only for a ‘summer club’ for ages over 21. We were told our 5 year old could use it from noon to 5 but were later told we couldn’t use it at all because it was booked for a party. This is not acceptable. They should change their website to take the pool off or designate hours for hotel guests.

Hotel not meant for families. Single or couples this the prefect hotel

Really nice hotel. First room they put us in had a weird smell on the balcony. They said it was the vent, and moved us to a much nicer room. Very nice swanky hotel. The pool is only open Thursday through Saturday 12-5pm and usually reserved for day parties.

Very loud music played all day and late into the night until 11pm in the attached club.

Decent room some parts look dusty and stuff, but wasn't unbearable. Just felt like it could be cleaner. Staff was friendly and helpful when they were needed, so that was really good.

The rooftop features (pool, lounge furniture, etc.) was a big draw on the photos. We were very disappointed that it was not available. Otherwise the hotel was very comfortable and clean.

Old furniture and equipment, no pool as advertised, no microwave in rooms
