The hotel looks nice but is very old. The heating system was loud and it was almost "everything or nothing". No real light in the room. We were disappointed with the fact there's no restaurant. There's a global store where you can get snacks and others. You can get some burgers and pizzas on a table next to noisy slots machines and people smoking. Not what I'd call a restaurant. The staff was very helpfull and friendly.

Needed a hotel room for the night while traveling from Gilbert, AZ to Ely, NV. Great location on US 93 near Lake Mead with easy access off I-11. Very reasonable rate.

A very nice old school Las Vegas vibe. The room was clean and all the workers were very accommodating. Very nice view to lake mead.

Edited to reflect our most recent experience and unfortunately our last. This USED TO be a fun place our family would come and meet, you could choose from a large variety of "pay dirt" to find gems, fossils, shark teeth, etc, at the mining trough in the middle of the hotel. With a great restaurant for everyone that had an amazing lobster bisque soup. Plug in the car while checking out the hoover dam and seeing it all come together.
Now they no longer have the restaurant and have no other place for a family to have dinner. The pay dirt has 1 option instead of 10, and the chargers for anything other than tesla were only 2 and both were taken (admittedly annoying but not a big deal). When we booked a fun family getaway to meet up with my parents and sister we had no idea it was no longer a family friendly place, and the manager wouldn't consider a refund so we could find someplace that was family friendly. Won't be coming back.

Nice stay meeting up with friends. Our room was nice. Paid extra for a room with view of Lake which was limited view. It was fine we were out most of the time. Staff at desk were very nice and helpful

It was good until water started leaking from above in the bathroom

Just OK. Entire place dated and just kind of dirty everywhere. Restaurant closed. Needed a toothbrush (long story). They didn’t even have one I could buy.
The lady at the gift shop/snack shack was very nice. As was the lady who checked us in. Slow but nice. I guess you get what you pay for. Room was only $100.

Hotel was great, staff was friendly, but the restaurant was closed for remodeling. We stay here every year due to a nearby car show, but not having a restaurant was a real inconvenience. If there's no restaurant next year we will be staying elsewhere.

Overnight stay to visit the Hoover Dam. Hotel was built in 1957 so is old but with character. No coffeemaker in room but getting coffee in the lobby area was easy and they give you unlimited coupons for free coffee. Views and access to trails are perfect. Get a room with the view of Lake Mead if possible. For gamblers there are many casino options in the lobby.

There is no restaurant to sit down with the family to eat a decent meal (breakfast or dinner) There is a general store that offers small breakfast items and finger foods. The young lady that worked the evening shift appeared less than thrilled to be working with a scowl on her face. Also, they were out of fries, chicken fingers and burgers. We arrived in the early evening and had to order pizza (which we had to go pick up as they didn't deliver) which overall didn't help appease a bunch of hungry kids. The hotel check-in /out ladies were wonderful!! I probably won't stay here again because: 1. no place to eat. 2. No coffee in the room. You have to drive 4 miles in to Boulder City to find somewhere to eat.

Easy access to trail to dam(couple miles to dam?) and views of lake.

The best thing about this hotel is it’s probably one of the closest to the Hoover Dam, 10-15 minutes drive away.
Whilst the rooms were clean, the bed was old and didn’t provide much support and the air conditioning was noisy.
The various places where you can buy hot meals, which come in disposable boxes, are full of gaming machines, not the experience I was looking for.
We paid extra for a lake view room and wished we hadn’t this isn’t that close and the lake could only be seen by looking sideways to the left, innocently, I’d expected it to be in full view from the window.
The staff are friendly and helpful.

No coffee in room or ice on the floors and the hot tub was broke which was the primary reason for choosing this hotel

Tv stunk. Minimal stations. Room was out of date. Food places in the casino didn't have a lot of the food on their menu. Room was very large

Helpful, friendly lady at the front desk in the morning checkout compared to check in lady. Toilet issues - Flapper needed replacing but still did not work correctly after replacement. Shower dropped for 45 minutes after showering. Rooms were clean but needed remodeling. Rippled bumpy carpet in the hallway.

This hotel was super cute. I was a tad anxious based on demographics but all was good. The hotel has places to eat and the servers at that new orleans inspired one were terrible, they didnt even try to help me and my family so we went to the la villa for mexican food and that server was such a doll. He was by himself and still treated us better than the 3 at the other place. Overall view and room was great. I had a decent stay.

The jacuzzi was ice cold and the jets pointed up flooding the whole pool area

This was the best place to stay for our trips to the area. We could gamble, eat and drink without having to leave the property. Now the restaurant is gone and that’s a major bummer! Still a good spot but if the restaurant comes back it will be great again! Also they need cameras in the parking lot.

It is very short staff and all the places to get food was just about out of everything. Very hard to find workers to help or even to ask questions

Meets the need for a place to crash. Room is clean but definitely outdated. Bed was okay, not the worst we've seen. Available food within the restaurants is frozen quick made, nothing truly nutritional or delicious but it will fill your hunger. Casino was dead all weekend. Much cheaper than anything near the strip. We were here for a concert and quick over night so it met our needs just fine!

Check in service was good and thank you for the free coffee. The room itself was very outdated and there were stains on the carpet and a weird smell in the room. The lodge feels tired and in need of some updates. The General Stire service was good as well.

Big comfortable rooms, the only complaint is the pillows on the beds.

Great place with a view of Lake Mead - it's an interesting and unique place to stay - fun and close to the lake and downtown Boulder City. No formal restaurant but snacks galore.

A convenient location for a good stay overnight to visit Hoover Dam. Hotel is clean and comfortable, downside is there is no restaurant but food was available at the various casino’s within the hotel lobby. If gambling drinks were offered without cost but if not there to gamble then you pay, prices are reasonable. The room was good & clean with a fridge but no tea or coffee making facility within the room. Tea, coffee were at the general store in the hotel lobby but there were none available as not readily topped up at time of trying to get one. Breakfast sandwiches were on sale but again very limited supply and was told only one sandwich left, his was at 0800 am?. For family’s, non gamblers, more suitable stay options are available in the town of Boulder about 15 mins further from the Dam. Recommended if just needing a room for the night.

Very nice stay - kind of an old school casino resort right near Hoover Dam.

Spacious King room with nice soft bed. Very clean and great location for spending the day at Lake Mead. We have no complaints but we are easy to please. Any day at the lake is amazing! (FYI, the hot tub was not hot but the pool and hot tub were very clean) 8/14/24. The tiny fridge/small freezer came in handy for our picnic leftovers. I look forward to coming back here!!

A cross between the Bates motel and the Shinning. Creepy and dirty.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They all seem so eager to please and smiled a lot.
