One nighter iconic art deco hotel with amazing views, good English breakfast, although the toaster seemed a long way away!

Very nice Stay excellent staff nice room very well equipped free parking right on the seafront.
I would definitely stay here again

Hotel looking a bit tired. Booked a room with balcony overlooking sea. Very large room and some nice features but only a double bed when a king or super king would easily fit. Room tired and dated and no water in room .
Also had a huge very noisy party in the bar which the staff managed really well and kept apologising for the noise but the way the hotel is constructed the noise carries up the spiral stairs to the rooms.
Staff were fabulous. From the bar staff to the staff in the restaurant at breakfast.

The Midland is SO close to being an absolutely brilliant hotel. And the customer service when you're there (I genuinely wouldn't even bother trying in advance) is absolutely brilliant.
It's in a great location, the rooms are quirky and fun and the showers are great. What more could I ask for? 3 small improvements
1. Allergens on food menu (and for what the food is, it's a touch expensive)
2. Earlier breakfasts - considering how many people stay there for work, having 7.30 as the earliest time for breakfast isn't helpful at all
3. Temperature in rooms. I've now stayed in the Midland twice, and on both occasions the rooms have been uncomfortably hot, with no ability to cool them down aside from opening a window by the tiny amount they can actually open (and if you're roadside, you don't want that)

Wow Morecambe is looking good with amazing views to lakes and Eden Project on way. Hotel very good and of the era, food good and service too. We had 2 amazing fireworks displays too. Id highly recomend driving to Morecambe via Carnforth as the approach is stunning .

This hotel is an architectural gem. The visitor is welcomed into a generous inner space but instantly has the connection to the wide open water edge reaffirmed.

The midland hotel is steeped in art deco history, it was tastefully renovated and it was nice that they could restore and retain some original pieces into the hotel
I pleased with the who hotel experience from check in to check out,
The staff went the extra mile, the food was fresh produced locally and tasty.
The bedroom was spacious comfortable, great views across the bay,i will return

After the renovation in 2008 this hotel was amazing. But the new owners don’t seem to be looking after it properly - although they keep the prices up. We ate there in 2018 and it was fabulous food. Now the food is actually poor, not even average. We were very disappointed. It’s still a fabulous building and the room was good. But the food is nowhere near good enough.

Absolutly first class. Beautiful hotel and even better service. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Was here for 3nights. Delighted with our dual aspect, large room. Looked over car park and town, but could also see prom and beach from side window. Slept with side window open and was not affected by traffic noise. Very comfortable beds. Two arm chairs. Huge accessible bathroom. Although we agreed not to have our room serviced each day, on our return from days out, we had been left a change of towels, toilet rolls and coffee/tea, biscuits top ups in a sealed bag outside our door. Very good.
All staff were very friendly and professional, though they did seem a bit thin on the ground in the dining areas. The system of the customer ordering each course and drinks from the bar often led to long queues which in turn meant that one member of the party was away from the group for often quite lengthy periods. That said, the food was excellent and so very pleasant being able to eat whilst looking out over the Bay. The whole Hotel is a delight to stay in and quite a treat to be “wrapped up” in art deco architecture and interior.

Always a great stay staff have been very understanding with my health conditions and the rooms and service has been tremendous.

Had a great stay, was weary about it being dog friendly as wife and i have allergies and no pets of our own. We informed hotel and they could not have been any more helpful, the room we had was excellent.

This is a beautiful art deco building but the exterior is looking a bit grubby. Our room was large and comfortable and the walk in shower was excellent. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The car park is a plus. The only real disappointment was the restaurant which no longer offers the same level of service it used to. The food on offer was ok but not spectacular. The view however remains one of the best I have seen in any eating establishment.

Fantastic location, great staff and good food but the rooms were disappointing. Very warm so we had to have a fan on all the time which competed for noise throughout the night with windows that rattled in the wind.

The building, the spiral stairs. Poirot was filmed there. Throughly enjoyable stay, definitely would stay agaon

All the Staff was amazing and very helpful. The view of the ocean was beautiful. Lots of options for breakfast and the food was really good. Rooms were really clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The feel is really like going back in time when Hercule Poirot was staying here for his vacation (from the show “Double Sin”). This hotel is highly recommended and will encourage all our family and friends to stay here when vacationing.

This hotel is not living up to its potential. The restaurant downstairs does not offer table service. You have to order at the bar to get your food so when you have a table of people, you have to act like a wait staff persona and take all the orders for drinks, starters, mains and desserts. I was worn out. Also the restaurant is like a sauna and is not cool enough because of all the glass. The same is true of the rooms.
The toilets are in a closet, which is very inconvenient. You have to open a heavy L-shaped door because it is otherwise hidden.
The hotel is at a great locations with great views. The owner/investing company is keeping it from its potential.
It is not what it used to be.

Lovely art deco design. Very large clean sea view room.

Staff were great and very welcoming. The location is fabulous and so close to the beach. However, our rooms were hot and stuffy, smelt stale and overall not as nice or as large as I'd hoped for the price. I slept with the window open but it was very noisy outside and so I had a bad night. Revived by a lovely breakfast,

Ignore all the negative reviews. It’s an Art Deco treasure well restored and run. Management should pay more attention to some details. The exterior does look drab - we are told that it’s cleaned annually but the finish can’t be painted. Food is good - ordering at the bar is no problem. The hotel may once have been more upmarket but running costs must be a nightmare. If the Eden Project goes ahead alongside it will a huge boost to Morecambe and the Midland.

Lovely room and view of sea. Staff lovely and very helpful, but allow a bit of time for breakfast as it can take a while for your order to be taken and then delivered. Evening dining - order at the bar. Food very good, breakfast coffee weak, but after commenting was up to strength the following day! Thank you for a very relaxing break!

It somehow lacked the elegance we expected. The bar and restaurant were much like an upmarket Wetherspoon's so we went to the local Wetherspoon's instead. The exterior wasn't the stark white we expected from the photos and some of the doors were badly rust stained. The accommodation was ok but the gap between bed and wall was too small for comfort.

lovely restored railway hotel; with many original features

I travelled with my two daughters aged 6 and 9. We had a sea view family suite which was lovely but considering I spent £444 for 2 nights I was disappointed the room wasn't perfect as it should be at that price, examples being light not working above bunkbeds, chest of drawers nearly fell on my daughter when she opened two drawers at the same time, curtains not black out and don't fully close together. Can't see TV from the bed properly either even when pulled out and tilted. The hotel also needs a total repaint on the outside. But on the plus side I felt safe staying here and loved the fact it's so close to everything we needed to see, and the beach which my girls spent so much time on. Having a free drink instead of having your room cleaned is a great option, so we took up that option. We loved our breakfasts in the sun terrace overlooking the sea! We spent two nights in the Rotunda Bar with extended family and it had a lovely vibe. I'd love to return again but not at that price!

The room was very nice with a great art deco feel. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. However the restaurant for evening dining for a four star hotel was non exhistent. The food was basic cafe fare at restaurant prices you have to que at the bar to order all food. NO table service and you haVe to carry your own drinks to the table. You cant book a table. It feels a very basic pub not a four star hotel. The inn collection have ruined an amazing art deco luxury hotel.

Midland hotel , curtains hanging off window , dirty valance , mould around window frames . Asked for another room which was quickly offered and better cleanliness .

Nice decorating but the outside spoil it .It could do with a repaint looking shabby.

Although near to motorway, feels quite remote, along a bumpy road. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Good breakfast and dinner. Dog friendly. Red squirrel area a few minutes walk away. Bar area was a little characterless, but otherwise a comfortable hotel.

Food and hotel were faultless.

An architectural gem of a building with wonderful views across Morecambe Bay .

Great property, quirky family room, great location, food spot on

Was a nice stay for business purposes. The room was a nice size and had clever features for space saving. I did find the room to be very warm though being on the second floor so needed to sleep with the window open.

The view when dining is fantastic and the art deco of the hotel makes it special

This is a stylish property - yes perhaps once again in need of a little TLC, but it's well organised and the staff were helpful.
There are some interesting and stylish public spaces.
The rooms are spacious and quirky - and warm, with comfy beds and reasonable pillows.
Your view is either of the car park (sheltered?) or the sea (perhaps less so?).
I didn't eat here apart from breakfast.
Morecambe has fabulous views but is rather down at heel- but I was there on business so that's not really relevant.
2.5
Enjoyed our stay. Staff were nice and food was good.
Bedroom was large, bathroom design a bit strange but fine. Was a bit worried about the step in the bathroom.
Plenty of free parking and it was nice to eat meals looking out onto the beach.

We managed to check in early as our room was ready, excellent room, very comfy and warm.
Lovely breakfast this morning

Went fir afternoon tea as a birthday celebration and decided on a weekend stay.
Friendly, welcoming staff throughout.
Comfortable and well appointed though some areas in need of a little tlc.
4.0
The rooms are starting to age with wallpaper peeling behind the radiator in the bathroom. Not what I expect for the price paid. The menu choices are awful for a hotel of the price. Very poor and not reflective of the quality of the food. The no book policy is daft and only works because people are not eating there as the menu choices are so poor.
