The hotel was only 20 minute walk after our Rhine cruise and easy to find via Google. Friendly helpful staff as we decided to eat in and got delicious cocktails with the buffet. Room was excellent and buffet breakfast to be recommended. Loved the pink grapefruit and bacon! Very close to the train station ( less than 5 mins) made our one night stay

Certainly! Here’s an improved version of your feedback: In principle, this could be a nice hotel, but my experience was disappointing. Upon entering my room, I found a bucket placed under the air conditioning unit, which was constantly dripping. The noise made it impossible to sleep. I reported the issue the next day, and rather than properly fixing it, they simply applied tape to the unit. Unsurprisingly, this didn’t stop the leak. Worse, they removed the bucket, causing the room to become soaked and unhygienic. I requested assistance again, but nothing changed. The hotel should never have rented out a room in this condition and, at the very least, should have provided me with a new room on the second day. Given this experience, I doubt I will return.

Perfect location for Mainz HBF. A 20min safe walk to the old town. Very helpful friendly staff - thank you. Great to have the option to open the window or use the aircon. One recommend would be to have the option for more pillows on the bed as only one each. Would happily stay again.

The front desk people were amazingly friendly and helpful. The bed was standard European uncomfortable but the AC was good, as was the shower pressure. Very close to the train station and walkable to the sights.

The hotel is within a 5-minute walk of Mainz train station. The hotel is located in the opposite direction to the downtown area, so it is quiet and safe. The hotel facilities are standard in Germany and are fine.

Nice interior ambience and location, but if I had known how bare bones the amenities were I may have reconsidered. No toiletries, just a bottle of catch all soap. The tv also didn't work in the room. And no coffee maker!!

A very handy hotel just opposite the West exit from the main station. Modern building with spacious, comfortable rooms, really quiet even though on a main road. Staff friendly and helpful, if you join their free H+ rewards you get a free public transport ticket for the local area which is handy. I got my free drink for being a Hotels.com status customer at check in. Room was nice with free bottled water, shower a bit weak as it's an eco shower but otherwise I'd recommend highly for the price paid!

Location was ideal next to the railway station but it was noisy but that was not the hotels fault. The girl on reception was friendly and helpful The hotel rooms themselves weren’t very welcoming. They were dark and dated but very clean. I didn’t like that they changed the towels every day whether we wanted them to or not. Not very green. Our stay was ok!

Will not stay here again. The front desk person when we checked in was exceptional! He was very helpful, outgoing and professional. The lunch we had was poor and tasteless, we did not know why the other staff said, that customers enjoyed it , it was over priced with no flavor and we had to pay extra for coffee. It was a disappointment.

Ok location,front desk staff were great, bartender too. The person who seated us for breakfast wasn't very nice. I probably wouldn't recommend this hotel. The 17 euro breakfast had meager choices, not impressed.

Perfectly ok for a few nights stay, comfortable bed, nice size and a very quiet room - despite facing a motorway. A perfect welcome at the reception - efficient and polite, without taking too much time. A clean, spacious, and a nicely lit up bathroom, with good ventilation. The room comes with a drink cooler fridge, a kettle, and a tea/coffee tray. Entrance is virtually behind the train station, and next to a bus/tram stop, making it super easy to reach the rest of the city. Our second, and if ever back in Mainz, not the last time here.

I have stayed here twice; once on business and then again for a business/ couple’s weekend combo trip. Like other hotels from this company, it is basic. Nothing special, but clean and new. Breakfast is great and staff is very helpful. I would stay here again. Perfect for business or if you plan to walk around the city on a weekend tour. Close to main train station, university and the center city (where most historical cites are located).

The staff at the reception/hotel was very rude and unprofessional. First, they claimed there was no room availability and seemed uninterested at check-in. They did not care to explain what services were available or included during the stay. Secondly, my guest arrived the lobby and indicated that he was was waiting for me stating that I would be there in about a minute, but was repeated asked to leave the lobby and reception area and wait outside. They did not bother to call my room to verify or let me know they were asking him to leave the hotel. Upon arrival and checking out, the staff continued to be rude and yelling "get out of here to my guest and myself". His colleague seemed not bothered by his behaviour. I indicated that I would have liked to speak with hotel manager were I not in a rush to catch the train that morning, but to my surprise this staff encouraged me to call once I get to my destination "once you get to Toronto" and declined to apologize for his behaviour towards my guest.

Located a short walk from the train station - maybe 15-20min walk from the city centre, but easily accessible by public transport which is free with the hotel's transport ticket. Clean, modern and well equipped room, with good sound-proofing despite fairly busy area below. Unfortunately, the overall experience not at the same level compared to my previous Intercity stays at other locations. Oval building shape may look cool from the outside but on the inside it cuts the size of the room, and allows for only one smallish-size window, making the room rather dark. If you don't sign up for the loyalty scheme, the internet provided is poor and slow. That in 2021, if you pay for the room and a 'business hotel' doesn't provide a decent internet connection, is pathetic. Ibis budget does better on that. For those who are offered some extra silver/gold benefits, don't count on them. I was promised a free room upgrade and drinks - got nothing. And not a word of explanation, let alone an apology. Not sure if it's the hotel itself or hotels.com who's lying here, but there's no extra benefit.

Zimmer und Hotel gesamt sehr gut. Beim Frühstück für 15,-€ p.P. passte jedoch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Hartgekochte Eier, Salami, 1 Sorte Wurstaufschnitt, 1 Sorte Käseaufschnitt. Abgepackt Leberwurst, Frischkäse, Brie. Für 15,-€ erwachte ich etwas mehr, Schinken roh und gekocht, mehr als eine Sorte Wurstaufschnitt, Rührei, Speck, etc. Zudem war die Wurst lieblos aus der Verpackung des Großhandels auf dem Serviertablett "umgelagert" worden. Die fehlende Auswahl ist mit "Corona" nicht zu rechtfertigen. Be anderen Hotels funktioniert das auch. Brötchenauswahl war OK, Saft und Kaffee auch. Das Servicepersonal beim Frühstück war unaufmerksam. Kurzum das Frühstück entsprach nicht dem Standard des Hotels. Leider ist die Tiefgarage mit einer Höhenbegrenzung von 1,90m die nicht in der Beschreibung auftauchte. Nebenan ist jedoch ein öffentliches Parkhaus. Preis war ähnlich wie im Hotel. Hotel liegt an stark befahrener Zufahrtstraße, jedoch sind die Zimmer ruhig. Bushaltestelle direkt vorm Hotel, 1A Anbindung. Bahnhof 3 Gehminuten entfernt. Lage für Kurzurlauber die sie Stadt besichtigen möchten sehr gut.

This was the last stop on our honeymoon. We had a lovely stay. Conveniently located near the train station. Walking distance to the old part of town and museum we wanted to see. We were able to get to the airport just as quickly as quickly and we didn't need to stay in Frankfurt. A great place to cap off our visit and stay!

The hotel is quite close to the train station, which is what we were looking for when we booked. (It's about a five-minute walk.) The room was clean. However, the Internet connection in our room was useless. We could connect but not open any pages because the signal was so weak. But the reason I'm giving this hotel a bad rating (and the reason I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again) is that at 9:00 a.m. on the day we were checking out, we were woken by someone knocking on the door. Then the door suddenly burst open. The person (a worker for the hotel) said something in German and then left. Then, at 10:00, someone knocked again, saying it was housekeeping. Check-out is not until noon, so I wasn't sure if someone was trying to rush us to leave or simply had no information as to which rooms were occupied. Perhaps in the future, the hotel can better communicate with its housekeepers as to which rooms are still in use and when people are checking out.
