Well at the beginning rooms overbooked and I didn’t get the room I was reserved

Our room with two queen beds smelled like smoke and my daughter and wife get headaches around cigarette smoke. The hotel had no other comparable rooms (we checked in after 11pm) and the front desk person offered a discount on the room and would speak to his manager. The room’s bathroom light didn’t work, looked like food or blood was sprayed on the curtain, stains all over the furniture, and smelled of smoke. When we checked out, the front desk lady couldn’t do anything about a discount and said her printer didn’t work. She would email the folio to me which I never received. And she asked that I contact the manager directly to discuss the discount. I emailed her this morning and haven’t heard back. Not impressed with the property or management

The rooms are very outdated and not very clean. One room we booked smelled of mildew.

We arrived after midnight to check in after a long day of travel. The front desk attendant gave us keys to a room that was either occupied or hadn’t been cleaned yet. I opened the door and saw towels on the floor, unmade beds, and full trash cans. We went back downstairs and were assigned to a different room. Although the new room was in a better state, there was still garbage on the floor that had been left behind by the previous guests in 2 corners of the room.
For a family of 3, there was only one towel in the room. When we attempted to retrieve more towels, we were told that there were none available. I have never written a bad review before and wouldn’t be considered a complainer. Knowing we spent close to $200 for what was ultimately a 6-hour stay left us feeling a little frustrated. A clean room with 3 towels is not an unreasonable expectation.

We arrived at the hotel to find out our room that was paid for months ago was given away. The hotel staff claimed it was Expedia’s job to notify us they overbooked. Expedia took no responsibility for this. I will NEVER book with Expedia or the Holiday Inn Express again.

We had no towels when we arrived, and then after our room was cleaned between our 1st & 2nd night, our bed was only half-made up, there was trash on the floor, and still... no towels.

The air conditioner didn’t work properly and there was a roach and hair in the shower.

solid but not great. Hotel was very clean, and staff were very accommodating and polite. The rooms were very dim, not really enough light to put on your make up, and the showerhead was a bit like taking a shower from a water hose, although the temperature was great. The complementary breakfast was, very good not just your average continental breakfast. Solid place to stay, The price is good, I’ve just come to expect a little bit more from Holiday Inn.

When we checked in, someone was already in our room. The front desk then upgraded us to a suite, which was nice. However, when we got to the room, it was extremely hot and the room never cooled down. We asked about moving and they said they were booked.

I have stayed here more than once. It is a nice place. The staff is always very nice. However, the maintenance requests (shower tub doesn't drain well) are not handled promptly because I think they are understaffed.

Very nice king room with lots of seating & good bed. Newly remodeled, it looked nice, but plumbing was still old & both the tub & toilet had constant drips. The added closet door full length mirror was a useful add although it appeared to have been a quick fix to cover the original open recessed hanging rack. The clothes had to be hung off the overhead rack bars to allow the door to shut on its magnetic latch…just an observation on the upgrade was dot’s.

The Tesla supercharger was the biggest attraction for us to reserve the hotel as we drive a Tesla. It saved time & effort to find another supercharger & to charge.
The room was clean, spacious & nice. However, the shower was dripping even after closing in full. It had both hot & cold water.

I booked this hotel knowing that I’d be checking in very late, as in 7am. I called ahead to let the hotel know. When I arrived, my booking was canceled by the manager. The person at the front desk was incredibly rude and uninterested in helping. Thankfully Expedia solved the problem and we left. From the very limited time I was there, I’m glad we didn’t stay. It was hard to find, hard to get to, and smelled musty. I had an unfortunate and unusual experience and the staff did nothing to help. She was extremely rude.

The location was great. Walmart was across the highway. The indoor pool was very murky. Wished it had been cleaned. The girl at the front said ot was fine.

Check in was fine. I get to my room. The card doesn’t work. I go back down to the lobby. Clerk told me oh that’s the room I have to let you in. We proceeded to the room he let me in. I said are you going to fix it he said no I’ve told the manager several times that the lock doesn’t work. I have to let you in every time, I asked if he can change my room he said no. When I got in the room, I had to call him because I needed ice. The phone didn’t work. He couldn’t hear me. I had to prop the door open and try to find an ice machine. The next morning, I leave for work forgot something in the room went down to find a clerk at 4:30 AM. There was nobody to be found this is unacceptable.

There’s a strong mildew smell as you enter the lobby. The room has a funky smell as well, like it used to be a smoking room.
I was unable to control the AC unit. Which was bothersome because I like it cold, and couldn’t get it cold enough.

Upon arrival everything was great at checkin; front desk was responsive and welcoming; however after we got the room key this is where things started to go south. Upon entering the room the A/C unit was unplugged as such the room was not cooled down and didn’t get to a comfortable temp until about 3am. Then we move to the bed; we had a King size bed and the mattress was so hard that both myself and my wife had difficulty sleeping and when we finally fell asleep woke up with sore backs and aches & pains. The following day we attended the George Strait concert and when we got back from the concert at midnight our room key was deactivated and would not let us back into the room; again front desk reissued the key but still inconvenience when you just wanted to go to bed. Lastly the breakfast was your typical spread which is fine but when we asked for a refill on an item that they had out the lady working the breakfast bar just stood there and did nothing. They did not restock the breakfast bar and were out of items by 8:30a when it is supposed to served till 10am.

The lights flickered on and off - both the desk lamp and the overhead light by the door. The air conditioner was loud and moaning. Someone had scratched the a couple of different phrases using F word on both sets of elevator doors. There were 6 Tesla charger/spaces with a Tesla occupying one of them- and signs threatening towing….leaving no where close for people who choose not to drive a Tesla to park. The back door was propped open and had an extension cord running outside to something.

We checked in at 3pm and a storm hit at 6 pm knocking power out. The back up generator only operates lights for 1 hour so since we were on the fourth floor had to climb stair with a flash light. Someone tried to come in our room later that night so barricaded the door with a chair so we could sleep after our 10 hour drive. Next morning power still not on and front desk said it would be on by afternoon so we went about our day. Came back no electricity so packed our bags and stayed at daughter’s apartment. Front doors remained open all night/all day. Pitch black in rooms, halls, stairwells- totally unsafe conditions and to top it off- not a single worker in sire! Turned keys in to front desk next day and manager happened to be there said everyone would be emailed and issued refunds. Was there in area four days and the hotel never regained full power. I have yet to receive email, refund or anything even after emails/calls I made to follow up. So disappointed in Holiday Inn. As a travel agent I will be advising my clients to stay way from Holiday Inns and book elsewhere!

First room we were given, had mold in the cabinet where the refrigerator was the second room had water damage where the refrigerator was. The hallways were hot and stunk.
