Nice location, good breakfast
Safe is 3 euro charge per day

They should improve the carpets in the hallways since they are very old and the hallways doesn’t smell nice anymore. The elevators also smells.

The hotel is a bit outdated. Nice location, walkable to old city. Staff is friendly. Check in process is annoying. You need to fill up the information when you already have it on the reservation. If you want to use safe, you have to pay for it. Pool has a nice size, decent breakfast food. In order to get beach towel, you need to walk to the spa to get it and then return it, otherwise you will be charged 20 euro per towel.

Lovely spacious hotel with very friendly staff. We stayed in the building across the road from the main hotel. Rooms were big with a balcony and the shower was very good. The air con was good. There was no corridor noise or from the road. Staff were super friendly at all times. The hotel had a gym which I wanted to use but found some of the equipment not usable posing some safety issues-.the rower foot straps are broken and the treadmill foot covering is warped. Also it is not supervised so children were in there messing around on the equipment lots of days. We had a lovely stay, breakfast was good- lots of choice.
It was about a 20 minute walk into the old town along the beach road. The beach is only 5 mins away and is lovely. Plenty of good restaurants a few mins walk away

Beautiful high rise hotel with a pool and option for all inclusive package. Poolside drinks and snacks are offered as well as a live duet in the evening poolside. Buffet dinner at a reasonable price in the evening is offered if you don’t choose the all inclusive option. Parking is a challenge but you can pay extra to park your car in their lot.

Location was excellent

Lovely hotel close to Rethymno old town (about a 15 minute walk). Staff were friendly and happy to help. The hotel was very modern which we liked and the pool was a good temperature and great for when it was hot during the day. Would recommend if your planning to go to Rethymno

Very friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the hotel.
Large selection at breakfast and dinner and very tasty preparation.

Last minute choice but comfortable and quality room and breakfast.

Wonderful, modern hotel. Friendly staff, got a room upgrade which was greatly appreciated. The buffet was also great with loads of choices and couldn't fault.
Facilities were everything I needed. Pool (which looks beautiful at night like a star lit sky), gym, spa, comfortable seating throughout the hotel, great balcony overlooking the pool, close to the beach and about a 20 minute walk to the old town

Excellent staff and service.

The hotel is great 👍!
The food (breakfast and dinner) was rich and tasty.
The location is wonderful, pool are very nice but there no enough seats there.
The towels are located in strange place that take few minutes to walk.

Great venue close to beach and shops/restaurants. Maisonette room perfect for our young family.

No gift shop. Food at pool was not good. Took a long time to receive order.

Very comfortable room. Half board food hit or miss but usually enough decent options. Alcoholic drinks a little pricey.
Most of the staff very friendly and professional. Walk to Rethymno town center 15 to 20 minutes.

We had a good stay at this hotel. We booked a superior room, the bathroom was refurbished. The room seemed fairly small compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The best rooms are the pool view as there is a busy road at the back of the hotel so you can experience lots of traffic noise. Breakfast is good and generally we found our stay good value for money. We dined in the old town every night approx 20 mins walk away which is beautiful.

What an absolute wonderful stay at the Theartemis Palace - Such lovely staff through out the building - especially Marianna/Sofia who was working the pool side most days - Nothing was ever a problem and she was incredibly friendly. Beautiful comfortable rooms - Lovely view of the Pool which I was so kindly given on arrival. Being a single traveller it was so nice to accommodated for. Lovely quiet pool - perfect for relaxing by and soaking those rays. Also Perfect location - 15mins from the old town which is a lovely walk with all kinds of restaurants along the way and 3min walk to the beach. I will definitely be back at some point to this gorgeous hotel.

We had a lovely stay here! The staff are super friendly and very accommodating! I’m vegan and the staff gave me a selection of vegan meat, almond milk and cheeses for breakfast in addition to the buffet which was very kind! The room had a few flaws such as a broken lamp that had the cord taped back together, when we mentioned it wasn’t working they fixed the plug instead of swapping the lamp which was a bit of a safety concern for us. The room we stayed in was a bit loud at times but still a lovely room! I’d recommend paying more for the pool view as we had partial sea view but was a little loud sometimes from the street. Overall a wonderful stay and would stay again!

Excellent hotel with great service, nice amenities and delightful food. On the improvement side, may be longer pool hours and functioning gym would help.

Our stay was absolutely amazing from start to finish! Visited to celebrate a birthday and Theartemis went above and beyond for us from being greeted with champagne and refreshments to a decorated room filled with balloons and a personalised big birthday cake! The food was lovely and had a good variety for our buffet breakfast and dinner which i was very pleased with. The service was spectacular, really was the best part of the 3 places we stayed in Crete Theartemis was definitely the best! Special thanks to the manager Eleni i believe her name was who also greeted us on arrival and checked with us throughout our stay. This was an amazing memorable stay and hope to come baxk soon! :) thank you Theartemis!

The room and the hotel are excellent.
The staff is really friendly and helpful.
The proposed activities are various.
The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever seen, with so many different options.
The pool area is huge and no problem finding an available sunbed. Sometimes the wait to get your drink order by the pool is a bit long, but all in all a great experience.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Theartemis Palace. It is in a nice area of Rethymno, near a great beach boardwalk that we enjoyed taking walks on in the evening.
We booked the premium suite with jetted tub, which I'm not sure I would call 'premium'. We mostly loved the balcony and very comfortable lounge chairs. However, the balcony is not private at all - it sometimes feels that you are 'on display' for the other rooms because there is a full wall of glass windows looking onto the balcony and an open-air top (great for tanning, not great for privacy). Also, the room has a joining door with the other premium suite and there was a very loud couple next to us who made lots of noise in the middle of the night.
We also didn't have 10/10 cleaning service in the room. Some dirty cups were not taken out and the nespresso pods were only replenished when we asked. Also, we used a blanket that did not have a cover on it.
We had half-board and were surprised that dinner service did not include water (and 3 euro for one bottle of water is over priced!). We were generally satisfied with the meals but found the dishes themselves were hit or miss (though we did have some favorites).
All in all, it was a decent stay. Not sure I would make this one of my 'staple' places but it was good enough!

My best holidays! Thank you so much to all the Staff to make me live this great time! Super professional, friendly and gentle persons! The hotel really super clean and I had the best swim pool view from my room. The design of the room was been also very beautiful and cozy. At evening I enjoyed great live music from my balcony. Kitchen and wine card are also excellent in the hotel, big choice and all is tasty. Most romantic hotel and city I ever visited. Really 10000000 stars!)))) Can’t wait time come back!!! And surprised nice fresh drink as bienvenue)))

We had amazing time in Theartemis hotel this summer. Hotel is recently renovated and everything looks new. Pool is very good. Lot of activities are organized in hotel (shows, concerts). Stuff is very friendly and professional. From reception, restaurant or any other part of the hotel you can feel real Greek hospitality.
Had fantastic experience from check in to check out.
Looking forward to visit it again in coming. Years.

Like: awesome ladies at the front desk. Very warm, competent, professional. Clean room though basic. Was upgraded to a room on high floor with view.
Don’t like:
1) they called me down to sign my registration. I checked “no” on form asking me if I wanted to get marketing email. Not sure the gentleman behind the counter liked that but it could be just in my head.
2) asked for recommendation on restaurants that do delivery, so I could watch soccer in my room and have pizza. Was told it was against hotel rules?!?!?! Not covid related btw.
3) pool towels are placed in a wing across the street at entrance of spa. You get a spa pitch if you go get towels there. 100 euros for a massage is what I pay at the Ritz close to Malibu. Seems high for a hotel with. 100 euro rooms.
4) ladies pitching spa services at the pool. Might be a better idea to change pricing strategy and do activities like 15 euro yoga to draw people to spa.
5) they need to get a real espresso machine for such a large hotel. It’s Greece after all. Good coffee is basic.
I wanted to give the hotel a five for the ladies at the front desk, the upgrade, the room, the facility and the bellhop. But also want to give it a 2 for the hotel rules/business interests first, guests second business strategy.
In all fairness I am comparing the hotel to some of the top hotels I’ve stayed at. It was good value for the money though! I think that’s what most guests were looking for.

Nice location, the staff are excellent, the room was nice and clean. Breakfast could be better though, after the first day we haven’t even bothered to attempt it.

Lovely room, helpful friendly staff

Our balcony overlooked a busy road. After the first night we got used to the noise.
We didn’t like the music around the pools and felt it was for the benefit of staff not guests.

Great hotel. Worthy of the star rating. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast good too. Only downside was the poolside bar prices.

The manager was extremely helpful. We needed pointers on buses for our trip onwards to Chania. Breakfast was included and was high quality. Easy access to the beach. Far enough away from the party scene.

The hallways were super hot and in desperate need of air conditioning. The staff was friendly, and welcome basket was a lovely touch. The pool was lit up beautifully at night, and great proximity to the beach.
