Overall pleasant stay; staff at the check in was not very friendly and didn’t make any effort to understand English however at the checkout and breakfast staff were very nice; room was very basic and a bit outdated but clean; hotel is situated close to the beach

We have paid a family room for 4 person max (which was a bit expensive that triple room) but were offered by triple room at the check-in. The concierge told us that we had paid less (!!!) than a family room and Expedia took some commisiion but after we insisted the moved us into two small separate rooms.
You should be more accurate with the different room options for this hotel because they do not have all the rooms like this

This place is charming in an old fashioned way. The room was nice enogh though the double bed was very small, probably 120 or 130cms, so more like a big single bed. The bathroom very small and no tea or coffe available in the room: just the kettle and sugar. But all in all, a goid choice for one night as the place is beautiful. We didn't have neither breakfast nor dinner so I cannot give my opinion.

Booked a superior room. Checked in and taken by the guy on reception up several flights of outside stairs to a separate building and told that the room was on the 2nd floor - more, and narrow, stairs. At no time did he offer to help with luggage. The room was far from superior, unlike the photos on their website, with the smallest bathroom that you could imagine. Really disappointed.
Spoke to another couple who were given a choice of rooms. Went to reception and then were able to speak to, I guess, the senior, receptionist who spoke some english. She said that the issue was the room we were taken to was a superior room, I was incredulous. She then gave me the keys to two other rooms, one of which was suitable.
Dinner was a big disappointment and we were asked to leave our table to have a drink in the small reception area which had no seats due to others waiting to dine,
To cap it all on checkout they tried to overcharge for drinks the previous evening.
Not a great experience and one we will definitely not repeat,

When we checked in, we were shown the location of our room but no offer was made to assist in carrying our suitcase up the more than a dozen rough steps and along roungh paths, despite us being elderly.

We have been to this hotel many times, but this time was poor, the room was not ready, but we were shown it any way dirty linen etc. The room was not ready on our return 3 hours later. The french receptionist swore, and as we are fluent in french we were not amused. The bar toilets were broken, but the annoying fact over all this was our treatment in the restaurant. We were shown to our booked table( for 3) there was four of us. We were left for 15 mins after asking to order drinks. they then set the table. The other guests also had to wait, the hotel was understaffed. Our order finally taken the food was average but the prices were high! asking for more water was like asking to see the hanging gardens of babbilon. We found bread from other guests under the table. But the best was to come. The bill as we did not see it on the night they had large up the portions and the Prices. and as the waitress was not on duty the next day it could not be clarified. We had to leave disapointed, and charged over 250 euors for the food including one bottle of wine.

The hotel was a charming building from the outside with pleasant gardens. The decor was a bit tired on the way up to the room. The room was pleasant enough with an adequate bathroom. Would have preferred a proper shower rather than one that one has to hold over a bath. We dined in the hotel on both nights. The service was very slow on the Satuday, over an hour between first and second course, it was better on the Sunday. It was also a touch pricey. Would recommend it to a friend.

The Hotel had the character that you can only find in France. It was quirky and typically rural French in it's decour and it was certainly comfortable and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable and as you would expect, spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. what amazed us was that attitude to well behaved pets. We were able to eat with the dog next to us as long as he was well behaved. that was a great surprise. The service was good and all in all we would recommend it to any traveller. The great bonus to us was the close proximity of the cliff top walks, the beach and it's cafe and the short drive to Calais for the channel crossing.

This was a perfectly comfortable stay for the night before we went to the Tour De France. It was rural France where a spatter of basic french would not go a miss. It was a charming building in the Normandy style with a pretty garden. We did not eat there so cannot comment on the food. The staff seemed polite. Our bathroom was new and up to date with plenty of hot water, the sheets on the bed crisp and clean. We had a patio outside the french doors of the room which could have been made a little more inviting. Overall an interesting experience.

We were delighted with our overnight stay. Yes it is a little run down at the edges but the hospitality offered was excellent. Be sure to go to the beach at high and low tides.
Sleepy village but intresting
