We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. We choose this hotel because it writes it has a spa. But surprisingly when we arrived the spa was closed for 3 months renovations.
We don’t got any information about the spa. For us 150€/night is not worth it at all for an hotel without spa.
The staff not helpful at all.

Really great place for vacation.

Hotel is pleasant and you can understand the beauty in the main lobby. Rooms are a bit worn out (some rust in bathroom...) but stimm nice design. End of May is low season so also breakfast was probably adjusted... very limited choice of food and absolutely not on level of 4star hotel. Spa is there but not included for hotel guests, priced at 40€/hour/person which seems unreasonably high.

We enjoyed our stay so much, the view is stunning, the elevator to the port unique, the staf professional & super friendly would like to return again!

This hotel is amazing - the excellent greeting & check in was superior. The hotel was hosting a Disney Weekend & the atmosphere was electric. Mickie & Minnie Mouse were fun & spoke to our Grand Daughter. Rosa, who manages the hotel spoke excellent English - very polite & really happy in her role. Attention to detail was covered in every area of the hotel - chandeliers - exquisite furniture - cleanliness in every area made it all perfect. Bedroom was cleaned daily - fresh crisp sheets - bathroom accessories- coffee supplied daily. Staff were friendly - smiling at their work. Walking distance to nearby shops & restaurants- Pumpkin Pizza is fab. I would fully recommend this hotel - it is a home from home experience & I know for sure we will be back. This Hotel has ticked all the boxes & more - I visited the SPA situated across the way & chilled in the beautiful surroundings - Thank you Rosea for a fantastic treatment. If you want to stay somewhere Central along the coast of Sicily this hotel is highly recommended.

Very clean rooms, very nice staff and good service. The view from the hotel is beautiful.

Bed bugs, we were bitten all night. Thankfully it was only the one night.
Very old fashioned, in serious need of modernisation.
Shower head disgustingly unclean and water pressure is very low.
Towels had holes in them.
Jet bath, shoots out the water all over the bathroom so you can’t use it.
Lift access to beach does not take you to the beach, it takes you to the harbour.
Extremely overpriced.
Spa is not included in stay, you have to pay extra to use it.
When in Sicily, most of the day is spent exploring so you look forward to a nice shower and a good nights sleep. You won’t get this in Marina hotel.
When we advised them in the morning of all the faults they said we didn’t have to pay the 4 euro city tax as compensation!
We didn’t want money back just extremely disappointed in the hotel and the service provided.
I strongly recommend you stay at the Azzurra Apartments one street up. They are very clean and modern, great showers and beds and very spacious.

We choose this hotel since we were traveling from Palermo airport early in the morning. It is relatively close and there is a nice highway that takes you in 25 min.

We had a fantastic trip and the hotel was super nice. The only thing that was less good was the head waiter at the restaurant who was very stressed and stressed up the waitresses. I work in hotels myself and noticed this quickly. Unfortunately, this reflected the overall impression.

I loved the location! The shower was a little smaller than I like.

Excellent Location on the coast. Large room and bath. Good breakfast.

Hotel was really nice, apart from our room was crazy hot at night. We travelled with our young daughter and every night was soaked in sweat. We kept asking them to turn on our air con, but would never lower the temperature for us to a comfortable level. Slightly disappointing! The breakfast was average, would expect slightly more for a 4 star.. over all was average..

Wonderful location...off season so Restaurant had limited options.
Staff was great.

Gave me occupied room. Embarrassing, inconvenient .Wedding blocked pool no use. Air mixed.

Pool was extremely small. There were not sufficient lounge chairs and umbrellas around pool. We had to open door and window to air room when entering due to odd smell.

Very nice hotel, staff was very accommodating, and the views of the Mediterranean from the hotel were excellent.

We were looking for a quiet place near the Palermo airport where we could have a good night rest before flying early the next day with our baby girl. At our arrival we learned there was a big wedding taking place at the hotel. We were concerned but the woman at the front desk guaranteed it would be over early and kindly gave us an upgrade. On our way to the room we had to jump over laundry bags filled with napkins from the wedding and boxes of mineral water bottles. The room was spacious and had a nice sea view, but when we had a look down our window we saw a bunch of tables set up for the wedding after party with a DJ set up and all. So we asked to be moved to another room and after some time we were given one at the spa across the street. It was nice and seemed quiet. But that changed after the train passed by. We realised the train tracks were just meters away. It was late and we had to put our 17 mth old baby to sleep and we thought the train would pass just once or twice through the night. So we went to bed, but at around 9:30-10:00 some REALLY LOUD live music started to play. It was as if it was being played inside the room! We never found out if it came from the wedding or the bars down the street, but we couldnt do anything about it. Fortunately it was over after about two hours. The cherry on the cake was the door lock buzzer on the main entrance of the building buzzing all night long with people coming in to the hotel. Overall a terrible experience!!!

A wonderful vacation, in a fantastic location that allows you to enjoy a wonderful landscape.
At a short distance there are beautiful beaches and a wonderful sea.

Great hotel close to the beach close to restaurants and town center good amenities. Pool could have been a bit bigger.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was very nice, the rooms are new, comfortable and clean, great airconditioning.
The garden is very nice with sunbeds and a small pool. The garden has a view of the ocean. Enough restaurants nearby.

The hotels registrations on websites like expedia/hotels.com is not accurate. We upgraded our room on hotels.com to superior sea view and the hotel tried to put us in a rear facing family room saying sea view was 40 euros a night extra - that was resolved quite quickly on us showing the staff their own websites interpretation of a superior room.....They have a bar but it seldom seemed staffed and I had to pester the reception desk twice to get a drink from the bar as while the reception was empty the person attending it needed to get another colleague to serve us at the bar. The shower doors on the bar allowed loads of water to leak onto the floor which didnt bother us but would be a trip hazard for kids/people not too steady on their feet. We needed several towels to act as a barrier for the water getting across the room.....The breakfast is lovely and hotel interior amazing, views incredible. But there are a lot of things that hold this hotel back. Its a 10 minute walk to the beach - which has no umbrellas. We drove round to Castellamare del Golfo (worth the drive as its amazing). The hotel takes bookings for events (several on on the Sunday we were there) and there is no where for hotel guests to go. We couldnt use the pool in the early evening as there was dessert being served by the pool for a holy communion event and the place was overrun by very well dressed locals and many many children. We felt totally uncomfortable so just cleared off.

This is a small hotel with interesting decor, friendly staff and a great location close to the sea.

Quiet area. Don't look for for anything between 1 -4. The town seems to close down. Reception very nice and helpful!b25 mins from airport.

The hotel was a little run down but the price was affordable since we just needed one night close to the Palermo airport.

Staff were fabulous. Most friendly and accommodating. One drove us to a local Dr when we wanted to check out a rash on our 1 year old. They all went out of their way to help us with anything we wanted.

We stayed at the Marina Hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of November. First we were shown a room for 2 people and not the booked triple room but they quickly offered us a room with a bed for our son on the ground floor (room 109). They also brought us an extra towel for him. However we never received a third shampoo/shower gel for him. The tissue paper was not refilled and on one day there was not sufficient toilet paper. When I rang reception they immediately brought some along. The room only had one chair, so two had to sit on the bed. The TV had Sky however one could only receive very few Italian channels and only 2 English news channels. There was no complimentary kettle in the room (but one could go to the hotel's cafe and pay extra). It was impossible for me to hang anything into the wardrobe as it was so high that even my 6ft husband struggled. Two out of three nights we had to endure very loud music and struggled to fall asleep. The third morning we were woken by another guest walking around in her room with stiletto heals. Apart from Sunday, breakfast was poor. The eggs were hard boiled and cold, so were the fried eggs. Water for tea was not hot enough and on the third day there was not any. On the second day there was no milk either. On Monday stale pastries were on offer and no fruit or fruit salad. They did not even had a spoon when we asked Apart from Sunday when there more guests stayed at the hotel we had better breakfast in small B&Bs. Poor wifi if availab

We had a really pleasant week relaxing in the hotel and visiting a number of places of interest in Sicily, which is a beautiful island. The room was spacious and clean. The location high above the local marina and overlooking the bay is spectacular. It was nice and quiet but it may not be as comfortable in high season with families in the small "pool" and communal area around the pool. Having said this, we would definitely consider coming back again for another short break at the same time of year in the future.

A very warm welcome received, very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were beautifully decorated, and very clean. Breakfast was excellent with a lovely chice of food available. Lovely afternoons spent by the pool. Easy waljing access to local shops and restaurants. Highly recommend.

We wanted a base for exploring NW Sicily, and Balestrate is ideally located for that. Although quite quaint and not without character, it's a fairly unexciting place in itself, and the narrow roads were a bit hair-raising in a hire car. But the Hotel Marina was an oasis: immaculately maintained, decorated stylishly, offering superb views over the bay and a secluded pool area, it stands head and shoulders above its surroundings. The food was good and the staff very pleasant.

Sea views and common areas are lovely. We had problems with internet access, at times unavailable. Dining was expensive so we elected to try local restaurants which were quite good. Staff & locals were friendly & helpful.

We were placed in 3 rooms in an older building (that has only 5 rooms) that overlooked a dirt parkinglot! The hotel in more of a convention center for wedding receptions than a resort/spa for tourists! We requested rooms in the new building but were denied!
We stayed for 4 days (to long) 2 days were spent not sleeping...listening to loud music, drunk arguing wedding guests, fireworks and cars coming/going in the dirt parkinglot till 3 am!! I called the front desk numerous times to complain but nothing was done.
Also, the heat was locked so the rooms were cold, we had no "Hot Water" we had to take cold showers and the free wifi only worked in the 2 rooms on the upper level. The pool is a hot tub and the beach is a distance away!! This facility is Definetly not a resort or spa!!

Very close to the Marina. Friendly staff. Room was uninspired but functional. Not a tourist-friendly town so stay here if you must.

Great hotel with an excellent off-season rate. It overlooks the sea and has beautiful views. We were fortunate to have great weather, so we could take advantage of the pool and the nearby beach. The staff was very friendly and there is an excellent spa facility on site. The included breakfast was very good. Neighborhood is very quaint with lots of good food to be found. Rooms had good, free Internet. Short drive from the Palermo airport. The railroad runs right next to the property, but the trains are short and they do not run overnight. Not far from the station if you need to use the train.

Great decor and very clean/fresh. Views of the marina are lovely and the rooms are really nice. Would stay here again. The local town is just a short walk away and there are a couple of bars/restaurants, its a nice place to sit and watch the world go by.

The hotel in itself was lovely beautiful view of the ocean however my room with a seaview had no balcony to sit out on and enjoy view. Rooms cleaned daily and front desk staff lovely. I was there early sept and the whole town was beinging to close down. The beach the hotel advertisies a lift down to via the pier you would run from, dirty and no beds. The other beach has the most unfriendly staff I have ever encountered, there was 3 of us and an empty beach we wanted 3 beds which seemed impossible, we could only get 2 beds and a chair. Made no sense. One beach bar and beach dirty. Small village where hotel is was very qutie and again not that friendly. Only redeeming feature was the food was wonderful. On our departure we queations the extras hotel billed us for, they even chared for milk in your coffee. Would I go back to the hotel or village, that would be a big fat NEVER
