The location was great , the personnel at the reception were very friendly and helpful, but the personnel of the dining/breakfast place were not helpful or attentive , the hotel was clean 🍋🍋

The hotel is right in the middle of the old town and really convenient for everything around Sorrento. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have a traditional feel. As you are in the old town you will hear everything going on such as nightlife and church bells. The staff are really nice and always happy to help. Breakfast is a buffet type and a nice atmosphere albeit a bit quirky. There is a garden area which is a nice area to sit and have a relaxing drink at good prices.

Place was immaculate but the entry smelled like a garbage dump for 2 days. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were displeased with the room because the bed was more like a boxspring than a mattress and they put us in a room in the rear of the hotel. We had to negotiate 2 different elevators and 2 seperate sets of stairs to get to our room. We had 4 pieces of luggage and we are senior citizens. Biggest plus is the location.

We initially had an issue with our room; however within 20 minutes they rectified the problem. Rafaele was the highlight of our stay. Our daily interactions at breakfast were very humorous and heartwarming. The hotel is centrally located to everything - the Lift; the piazza; and everything and anything. Looking to book again

Lovely clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Staff let us know when the room was ready and even brought our luggage up while we had a drink in the garden. Room was small but comfortable with a balcony overlooking the garden area. Breakfast was good, enough options every morning. Staff helped us find our taxi when we were leaving. Would stay again definitely.

I think when you see pictures of properties online you worry how old they actually are. This is not really a 4 star for me. The breakfast area is a complete let down and the poor ceiling condition where food is. Why decorate in the summer ? The painter cannot even cut in the lines where there’s a colour change. Why paint metal and wood when it’s not needed? You’ve got fantastic artists in Italy. You should be using classy decorators not odd job people. It’s disappointing Plus the breakfast room is very cramped and why have the eggs steaming out the whole room every morning. Much of the breakfast was packet form with no thought about homemade or treats. Some other parts of the hotel were better. We did have quite a few ants in our room one morning which was dealt with. Give it it’s an older property that can happen. The staff were very good and polite. Now the small swimming area. The whole set up upstairs could be someone’s balcony not a 4 star. We could the top of the water where it meets the white trim dirty around the plastic and the water may not filter as well as it should especially in the mornings. A disappointment all round at £588 for 4 nights maybe that was cheap because it was booked early however I wouldn’t bother You will have to walk about 100 metres from a paid parked area to get in on cobbled ground in some areas. Lovely lady outside selling the souvenirs and good restaurant there too Must do better

Good breakfast, daily & nice staff assistance. Driving Access to the hotel from streets impossible. Pull your own luggage up a block on a stone road hoping your wheels won’t fall off. One cleaning lady is not so found of having any kind of conversation, probably won’t say good morning to you either. If you need taxi from the hotel Make sure you ask the receptionist how much is the base rate anywhere, we paid triple for a 4 min ride and driver demanded 20 euros! Other than that - all good and hotel is in a convenient central area.

Very nice hotel. Clean, nice shower, located in a safe area. Short walk to ocean “piers” where you can rent a “bed/chair” and umbrella. The ocean water is lovely!! Lots of restaurants near by and supermercato a short walk. Rosys self service laundromat a bit of a walk but clean, efficient and friendly staff. Walking distance to train station.

The staff at Astoria were amazing, from helping with our luggage up to our rooms and showing us around its amenities, it was immensely helpful! We ended up having an issue with our room and Carmine and Paolo were amazing in helping us resolve it. They have great customer service and we’re so kind to fix the issue in a way that worked for us I want to commend Carmine and Paolo in particular for their great service!

There is 1 floor that I'm guessing is an extention to the hotel so it is in between the 1st and 2nd floor. We had to take an elevator, climb a flight of stairs, take another elevator just to get to the 1.5 floor. My mom is elderly and has a hard time doing stairs, not to mention dragging everyone's luggage up the stairs. I figured since the hotel said they had a lift, that i didn't need to worry about stairs for my mom. The old man at the desk (night shift in guessing) was rude. He handed us 1 key for 3 people. I asked if we could have a 2nd key and he said "why?". I have never had anyone ask me that. He said to come back in the morning and ask. The morning guy gave us a 2nd one, no problem. My mom asked for an extra pillow to the same old guy, and he says "why?". Bro what? Again, went back the next morning. The location was great and the shower was great. If you don't need to request anything, then go for it.

Confused about the actual rating of the hotel. At best this is a Motel 6 (pre refurbishing). We knew it was not a high end hotel however we did not think it would be as bad as it was. First and foremost the room is the size of a shoebox. You must place your check in baggage on the bed to open it. The mold growing on the backside of the tank that hangs on the wall above the toilet was just disgusting. We had 2 rooms and both had it. Now the beds - yes it states a double but it is 2 twins pushed together. They are the worst beds we have all ever had to sleep on. There is no cush. We used the extra pillows and itchy wool blankets to create a few layers. Lastly, when I say you hear everything, I mean you hear everything. It’s all tile. You can hear the phone ring from all the way down the hall. You can hear people in their rooms with the door closed. The only positives are the staff and the actual location if you want to walk right out the door and be in the midst of the hustle and bustle.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It was such a charming place to be, in a great location, friendly staff, good breakfast, and beautiful. We loved our bedroom with a balcony where we could sit and watch people walk and enjoy themselves. Will go back anytime and highly recommend.

They have parking on off site , but the staff is amazing you park it walk to the hotel and they will take care of it. They have a mini pool on the 2nd floor which is nice. Rooms were big. Raffael was so funny and very friendly in the garden during cocktail hour. The front desk staff was super friendly and answered all questions we had. We were steps from the main square which was nice for shopping or food.

I don’t think it should be 4 star because i thought i walked into 1980’s themed hotel. Floor, tile, furnitures were very much outdated. Breakfast was ok. Many selections but i found the quality to be lacking a little. Staffs were very good and helpful. They get 5 out of 5. Location was really good too

This little gem of a hotel is snuggled at the bottom of the hill in the center of the historic town of Sorrento. The staff, in particular Rosaria and Valentina, went above and beyond for us. They greeted us at the car, helped us with our luggage and arranged for a special dinner at the hotel on our first night.

This hotel is located in the perfect center of town. Easily accessible to restaurants, shops, and transportation like the train, bus, and marina ferries and private boats. Our room was very tiny and dusty, however the entrance to the hotel is spotless. The walls are very thin, and depending on the guests sleeping next door it may or may not be a big deal. Overall, the perfect central location made it fun for us to travel all along the Amalfi coast and even jump on a train to Rome, and take a ferry to Capri and Naples. It was a very safe hotel to come back to from a long day of wandering and because of that we would stay here again.

Was beautiful room we were in 122 it overlooked the plaza where people were shopping and dining. Chilling on the balcony was so enjoyable. Room had beds for 3, my 7 year old never sleeps in his bed so we had 4 people in the room, this was a corner room so window in bathroom and balcony air flowed well through room with both open, I’m hot all the time this is important for me. Staff was delightful!!! So nice they held our bags before the room was ready and after we Checked out. Happy hour bar had the best lemon spritzers! Gave snacks for the kids. Very centrally located in the heart of the happenings!

Delightful hotel in the midst of shops, restaurants, and more. Close to Piazza Sant’ Antonio and easy walk to Piazza Tasso. Staff excellent and went out of their way to help locate a driver to Naples airport when other arrangements fell through. Would stay there again.
