Little old place, need some improvements

Overall alright but there are a few details that make me not recommend this place. There is a fee that has to be paid upon arrival which cannot be paid by card. That could be understandable but not even change do they have. I had to give my 20€ note. I received the comment "you should know that when you travel to another land you should have cash". That finished my patience because this is obviously not necessary in many countries of Europe.

It’s seen better days. Pool drained. Rec rooms damaged etc

The property is very aged. Our room (junior suite), did not have upholstered armchairs as pictured online but rather very hard and small patio chairs. The shower is in the bathtub and the tub is dangerously high and narrow. No slip protection provided and it was very awkward to get out of the tub. The pressure on the showerhead was close to nothing when warm water was selected. On cold water the pressure was great, but taking a cold shower was not an option. Our counter around the sink was sticky. Room service did not clean the bathroom upon request but provided towels and toilet paper only.
When we arrived we also had no choice but to purchase tickets for the Kurpark. This was an additional mandatory expense per receptionist and we were not able to opt out. Entrance for the Kurpark is €2.50 per day. We were charged €28 for 3 days.
Our suite was on the 7th floor. There was also the sun terrace. The patio furnitures were not in condition to be used. All of them were damaged in one way or another.
On the morning of our departure the elevator did not work. The two of us had 4 suitcases and some smaller luggage as we were in Germany x 4 weeks. As I mentioned before we were on the 7th floor and now we had to drag or heavy luggage to the 3rd floor so we could turn in our key to the cook who was there at 6:30AM preparing breakfast. He assisted us to fully get out of the hotel as reception did not start until 10 AM.
The only good thing in this hotel was the breakfast bar.

Haben hier Stopp auf Radtour gemacht und waren sehr zufrieden. Tolles Restaurant, Sauna und Pool intakt, sehr guter Service

Booked this hotel because of closeness to business meeting, and the facilities the hotel provided. After a day on the road, I had looked forward to using the pool and the sauna. The pool was great, and had it all for myself. The sauna was never turned on, even when I checked an hour later. The hotel seems like a relic of old, the service stretched thin, especially the waiters in the panorama restaurant, being too busy with only half the restaurant occupied.
The room itself was not what I had hoped for being a 4-star hotel.

A nice hotel in a quiet location away from the town centre. With pleasant views an excellent pool, jacuzzi and sauna the Savoy is an excellent choice. The hotel wifi is fast and reliable, the rooms are clean and very comfortable. This hotel offers excellent value for money

I stay regularly while on business. The hotel staff are excellent. The hotel could use some investment but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is very welcome in the sauna & is supported by jacuzzi and sauna.Being outside of the main town makes the stay very quiet. There is the slowest elevator I have ever been in but that just encourages me to use the stairs.Inexpensive, very good value, pleasant and comfortable place to stay..

Could have gotten better for the money.

Lovely hotel rooms with balcony and excellent breakfast. Free outside parking on premises or 5 euros a night under cover.

Try to stay at the larger rooms. Smaller rooms are not as comfortable as the larger rooms.

Great place to stay. However restaurant hours are not clear. There's a period where the restaurant does not serve food. If the hours were clear there would be no misunderstandings.

We had a lovely stay here. Most staff spoke English and were very helpful.the sauna, pool and spa were great after a long day out exploring. This motel is a little distance from town, but we had all our evening meals here, buffet and al a carte. The breakfast was great, both hot and cold options. Would stay here again.

Okay, not really a hotel for adults only. It's actually a hotel that caters to kids. A lot of screaming and crying at the breakfast room, but it is really a family hotel. I didn't realize that a family hotel actually really caters to kids activities when I booked it. Staff are very pleasant and the rooms comfortable. Really only suitable if you have kids with you.

We needed an overnight stop on route to Budapest, arrived late & were welcomed by the night porter who handled check in & garaging the car etc. The hotel itself is spread over a number of buildings which required us to use two lifts and a bit of a treck along a corridor to our room. If we had needed to get the dogs out urgently for a walk or a loo break it would have been very difficult to manage them as it was a good 5 minutes of up & down in lifts & corridors to get outside. The room itself was clean but quite small with a complete "drop in" bathroom made of plastic in one corner. It all worked but wasn't very comfortable. The shower had no screen which meant the floor got wet. Breakfast was rather good, served in a bright large room with a view and carried a full range of hot & cold items including eggs, bacon, croissaints plus continental, cheese, ham salami etc. Terrific orange juice, made by squeezing the oranges yourself (in a machine) and good coffee. The hotel is VERY child friendly with many activities for the younger guests presumably staying longer term than just overnight, also the hotel is located in a lovely part of Germany with many outdoor activities available, All in all we recommend this hotel & thank them.

If you need a wekkend with your children and also want to relax, this a very nice hotel with top German hospitality. The hotel comes with everything you children want.

The hotel is meant for families to come and recreate at the hotel in the pool and game rooms. It is in the Kurpark and has Kur Kliniks all around it. This was not what I was looking for. I wanted to be in the old city in a regular hotel This hotel is about 2 or 3KM from the old city.
It was mostly my fault for not checking it out better. Looks great for families looking for down time.
