Was a very bad experience for us for many reasons, will never book this hotel again:
1) there are many bars under the hotel, so it’s so noisy and you would not be able to sleep till 3:00 am due to the people shouting and screaming all night. Closing the windows was not an option as there is no AC !!
2) towels were smelling bad.
3) no parking available for the car, u less you pay 15 Euro every day!!
4) very poor breakfast.
5) old furniture.
On the other hand, the staff were friendly.

We loved Zell am see and this hotel! The staff was super helpful, the food in the restaurant was AMAZING and the room was fabulous.
The only minus was that there was no airconditioning. We got two fans(?) and they helped a bit, but it was still very warm.

This was a lovely hotel - particularly in the bar and reception area. We ate at their restaurant and the food was fabulous if a little pricey. The rooms were spacious and clean (we had a superior double) and it’s incredibly well placed in the centre of Zell am See so plenty of buses to other ski areas. The towels were a little on the small side and quite harsh and the body and hair gel was not replaced often enough so we ran out twice. Also there are no tea and coffee facilities but we asked for a kettle! Everything else was great. Ski rental is nearly opposite and train station only a few minutes walk away. Hotel staff very helpful.

Hotel location close to ski lifts or bus was great. Very easy for access to rest of the town. Staff were nice and the hotel and rooms were spotless. Breakfast choice was amazing. Bed comfortable, bathroom modern and room was spacious. Did not eat at the hotel at night so can’t comment.
The only negative was the noise from the main road into our room but think this was worse than normal due to underground road below the town being closed during our stay.
If you want ski lessons then we would recommend Matt at the ski school at Schmitten station.

Lovely hotel, excellent staff and superb food.

The perfect spot of you would like walking distance to most attractions, shops and restaurants. The service was amazing and so was breakfast and dinner. This is a very traditional hotel interior-wise, so if you are after an Austrian alp experience, this is a great place.
The streets are very busy with people at night, so of you are after a quiet place, stay outside Zell am See. We all slept very well and are happy to return.

A nice hotel with really really nice staff. The check in and the help we got afterwards was great. The hotel was ok. The rooms a bit old and the beds not the most comfortable. The pool area was great. Nice and spacious. The gym should be upgraded. We didn't get the treadmill to work, the machines weren't exactly modern and there was no lose weights. Great we could open the door and window to get som fresh air (we've noticed that's not always the case in the gyms at hotels).
The breakfast was ok, but absolutely could be improved. For example they had scrambled eggs but I missed bacon, beans and sausage.

Hotel was great, just what i expected since we been here many times before

Struck checkin policy, we were only able to checkin at 2:30pm.

Two night stay on our road trip around Austria. Found the hotel very noisy during the night with s lot of noise from outside.
Mattress was comfortable but the pillows where none existent. Shower was poor facing across the bath.
Breakfast was very limited on choice.
Zell am see didn’t live up to my expectations after visiting Strobl on our trip. Zell was very crowded and spoilt by the railway running across in front of the lake. Don’t believe the holiday companies on getting the authentic Austrian experience.

It is a well located hotel with a comfortable bed with a balcony. Had a good rest for two days, but on the last day, hotel tried to charge me additionally for my friend who was helping me with my luggage while I was checking in, saying that they had an ‘information’ that someone else was staying in my room! What does this ‘information’ imply - did they go through my stuff while I was out of the room - still unknown! Ruined my good impression on the hotel on the last day.

A nice hotel located in the center of Zell am See. Very nice room. Average breakfast and restaurant.

Really nice cozy hotel. Great breakfast, really, really clean. Good basic room, also small pool and sauna department. Great location, good value for money. Parking costs, but there is a locked carage.

Nice stay with the family as we passed by Austria on our way to Italy. The hotel has a very central and convenient location and it gives a genuine alp feeling and atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff, a hotel that I can recommend!

I stayed four nights, came to ski. My room was clean and spacious, and the WiFi worked well. Breakfast was very nice, though I think breakfast should start at 7:00, not at 7:30. I ate one evening in the hotel restaurant; the food and the waitress were excellent. In the evenings, I needed to do a lot of writing at the desk in my room; unfortunately, the desk chair was very uncomfortable. Also, there was no waste basket in the room--only a very small basket in the bathroom. No box of tissues either. The hotel itself is in the center of town and next to a busy road, so expect some outside noises. But it`s only 150 meters to the gondola, and about a five-minute stroll to the train station.

We booked with Expedia to stay at Hotel Zum Hirschen (HZH) but on check in, we were advised that they had over booked and we were given a room at a ‘sister’ hotel - Hotel Heitzmann. It was a very good room but overall experience was not the quality of Hotel zum Hirschen which we could clearly see when we had breakfast at HZH.
The reason given for overbooking was that the HZH has not been able to receive emails in the last 2 weeks and therefore had overbooked!! Ridiculous reason. We had booked on 19.10.18 - 3 months ago.
I had seen on Expedia correspondence that there was no need to re-confirm the booking before arrival. However, this was not the case.
There is a difference in price between the hotels so please advise how we can be reimbursed for the difference.

Excellent location just 200 meters from the main lift.
Very good kitchen, though a bit expensive comparing to other places.
Rooms are very clean, beds are nice and bathroom/toilet are well equipped, though tee/coffee amenities are absent.

Easy walk to station and lake, stunning mountain scenery from room. We were were short of time as had only stayed to attend a nearby funeral, but are planning to come back to spend more time in Zell-am-Zee. Excellent breakfast, and a good choice of evening meals in the restaurant.

Nice hotel with excellent location. No air conditioning so in hot summer days the room can get quite warm. Good, basic breakfast. Wi-Fi worked well. The garage was easy to find in the hotel courtyard.

The hotel is quite good. Large comfortable room and bed. Breakfast also very good. But Zell Am Sell not impressive, compared to other lake towns, Salzburg or Innsbruck. Funicula cost is a ripoff.

Great, accommodating staff. They were able to provide bikes to ride around the lake, gave great suggestions, and were very friendly. The hotel is in a good location, about a 10-15 minute walk from the train stations and near the pedestrian area with food and shops. The hotel included a pass to the beach area on the lake with includes diving platforms and board, along with a water slide and a pool.

We had a short stay to visit our son who is working in Zell am See hotel was ideally located very clean and staff very helpful will definatly stay again and would gladly recommend hotel to others

Only one faltering in this hotel was that you could only access the internet from the lobby. The positives easily out weighted that.

We were delayed getting to the hotel on our first night, we didn't arrive until after midnight. They gave our room away, which is policy, and put us up in the guest house across the road (which was clean and comfortable). When we went back in the morning and explained about the delay, the reception staff said they were really sorry and had reserved us a suite for the remainder of the stay, for the same price as we were going to pay for a standard double. It was enormous for the two of us, at the top of the house with great views of the lake and mountains. The hotel is central within the village, 5 minutes walk from the station and there are plenty of shops nearby. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, spoke perfect English and were always around to help. My one criticism is that we couldn't get wifi at the top of the building and could only use it in the reception area.

Nice stay in hotel, comfy and clean!

Comfortable room with large breakfast buffet with many choices and eggs cooked to order. Right on the main walking street.

Very nice hotel right in the center of Zell am See! Very friendly staff. Nice restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Just a minute or two stroll down to the lake. Our room was spacious. We were able to park our rental car in the hotel's garage, but be careful; the parking places are very narrow. Would gladly return!

Excellent hotel in a great location, very clean and service was top notch.would recommend for families or single traveller.

Welcoming, friendly staff. Excellent English to make up for our lack of German. Easy to find hotel - just over an hours drive from Salzburg airport. Train station a few mins walk through pedestrian area. Less than 5 mins walk to CityXpress ski lift. Ski passes can be bought at the hotel. Ski room access from street. Use of showers in the pool area possible for late departure if you want to ski on the day you leave. Substantial breakfast buffet - didn't eat at hotel in the evening so can't comment on quality of evening food. Plenty of other restaurants within a few steps of the hotel front door. Village has plenty of shopping for non-skiers. Access to car park signposted from street - just behind hotel.

This hotel was very cute, in a nice part of town and the staff were very helpful. My only major complaint was that the beds were extremely uncomfortable so I did not get a good night sleep. I was glad that I was only staying for one night for that reason. If not for that though, the hotel was perfect. The entrance is in the rear of the hotel since there is a restaurant on the first floor but it was not at all inconvenient. The breakfast was decent and the rooms were nice. The location is right in the heart of town so it was perfect, except for the beds!
