This was a perfect location to stay while visiting Meteora! Staff was wonderful! Breakfast was excellent with many choices. I would stay here again.

The hotel was spotless, and convenient for visiting Meteora. Parking was limited but we could always find a space. Couple of perfectly pleasant tavernas nearby although they were very quiet when we visited. Having a car we were able to go to Kalambaka for more choice. Staff were very helpful about how to visit the monasteries.

The staff greeted us with a smile. Our room was perfect for 3 people. Very quaint! Breathtaking views. Very happy with the hotel.

Property good...bathroom a little outdated. Breakfast buffet very convenient and great. Parking gets crowded easily

The staff at Hotel Kastraki were friendly and kind. The location was good for exploring Meteora. Our room had a view of the rocks, however, we couldn't enjoy it due to the heat--we had to keep the shutters closed to keep the room cool. The air conditioner could not keep up with the heat. It was miserably hot in the room. I would not recommend this hotel in summer. The hotel is really dated.

Just a perfect stay.
Second time here ….. before the next 😍

Lovely place to stay! My only regret was not staying longer. Staff were friendly and helpful. Accommodations perfect.

Ideal location for accessing Monasteries and tavernas.

Great locations

This hotel was located close to the monasteries with great view of it. The staff were all very friendly. Parking was a bit of an issue. Luckily there weren’t that many guests during my stay. The room was small but felt like an actual hotel. The shower head couldn’t stay still and kept falling. Other than that, great hotel.
5.0
Conveniently located at the start of the road to all the different monasteries at the top of the cliffs. We used one of the packing spots right out the doors. The breakfast was really good. Few restaurants down the street.

Perfect location. Very helpful staff! Lovely room.

We rented e-bikes (35€ ea/24hrs) and this hotel was a perfect jumping off point. We had the end room overlooking the front parking with a great view of the rock formations from our balcony. The front staff could not have been more accommodating. Very happy with choice.

Everything was great. Very kind staff that changed place of one of their cars so that we could park the motorbikes in front of the hotel's entrance. Excellent dinner at the restaurant and breakfast.

Shower not working. Told by reception all rooms the same

The hotel was nicely located and the staff were very helpful. Efi was a wonderful resource for information and tailored recommendations to our needs. She was very kind and a wonderful representative of the people of Greece.

Beautifully appointed rooms, great buffet breakfast, very friendly staff, proximity to the Meteora monasteries.

Fabulous hotel and setting. Excellent staff who are very helpfull and tell you the best way to get to what you want to see. The rooms are supurb and large and very quiet with good aircon. Breakfast is excellent with plenty to eat. We walked to St Nicholas in 10 minutes and then walked up the path to the 2 monasterys at Grand Meteora which took about 45 minutes. All the monasterys are stunning. We asked the hotel about seeing the sunset from sunset rock and they organised a 2 hour taxi tour by Panos at Meteorataxi which was brilliant and Panos was very knowledgeable and very reasonably priced. We had a very memorable evening and would recommend it to anyone. We came to Kistraki by train from Athens and the staff at the hotel helped with everything we needed. We also cought the local bus outside the hotel to St Stephens Monastery and then walked to The Holy Trinity where you can find the path that leads back down to Kalambaca which takes about an hour and is great but would be very slippy if wet. Kalambaca to Kastraki takes a out 45 minutes to walk back to or you can get a bus. Loads of local taverns to eat at in Kastri. The receptionist even made us a pack lunch on the day we left as we were to early for breakfast which was a lovely touch. It's a perfect place to stay.

I arrived after dark and was able to park directly in front of the entrance. The staff was welcoming and helped me to choose a restaurant for dinner. The included breakfast was very good with several choices. The room was clean and quiet and had a balcony that I didn't get to use because I had an early morning pickup for a Meteora hike. The hotel permitted me to leave my car in front for half the day while I was hiking and offered to store my suitcase until I returned.

Great location extremely close to the Meteora monasteries. There are also several eateries close-by within walking distance if you don't have a car. The beds were incredibly comfortable - the best of all the places we stayed, and there was a large and varied breakfast spread, though the options were not as tasty as other hotels we stayed at in Greece.

Lovely hotel with a wonderful view

The hotel is perfectly located as an overnight stay to visit Meteora. Rooms were meticulously clean and even the lead in rooms had beautiful views. The continental breakfast had lots of choice and staff on reception were very helpful and accomodating.

Very nice and well kept retro looking hotel. Surrounding area is beautiful! Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Our breakfast was included and it was surprisingly excellent and very generous, in a true spirit of hospitality! We went to the restaurant right across the street for dinner and were very pleased with the delicious Greek food they served us. Definitely want to come back!

We stayed for one night, it was an excellent experience. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was very good, and our room was comfortable. We highly recommend it.

Amazing location, great breakfast, very inviting, but mainly- awesome, professional, very friendly and helpful staff.
Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Quite neighborhood, nice breakfast. Parking could be challenging if check in late.

The hotel was clean and staff was great. The only thing I didn't like was the double room was two twin beds pushed together, just a little awkward. And I also didn't realize how far away it was from Kalabaka, so if you are there for a tour it's not really that walkable.

The Hotel conditions were very poor, not AC at all, the mini fridge didn’t work, we had to sleep with windows open, we complained about it, no one checked out on us. The AC unit was liking water on the hallway floor. There was not elevator, we had to use the stairs with all our suitcases ON TWO FLOORS after 4 hours driving from Athens. There was not parking lot available. Just one girl from the staff was nice and courteous but the rest were very nasty and rude. Definitely I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It looks like they don’t care about their customer. Very disappointed.

Very good option to visit Meteora. This hotel is not necessarily in the central busy location in Kalabaka, and I certainly enjoyed the quietness of its location and how close it was to the monasteries. There are at least 3 decent dining options close by for lunch or dinner.
2.5
A lovely hotel and the staff ( especially Mary on reception ) could not have been better. Excellent location and a great stay but unfortunately only a short one.
1.5
This hotel is nice in an antique way, but it could use some updating. The AC in both of our rooms made the room hotter, which was unpleasant. Also, I would highly recommend that you don't eat at the place recommended by the front desk. Only after did I see a review that says it's run by the front desk's family; the food and service at that place were atrocious.

Hotel Kastraki is on the road leading to the Meteora monasteries, walking distance to the first one. The hotel was in good condition. Staff are welcoming and helpful with local information. I checked in after visiting the monasteries, but was recommended to return to the hill area later to view the sunset. This was easily done by car and I'm glad I did - a spectacular sight.
2.5
Very friendly and a delicious breakfast. Room was very clean and comfortable with a great view of the rocks
2.5
Brilliant location and a great breakfast makes this a hotel of choice for those who want to explore the Meteora area. Kastraki is the smaller and more quiet of the two places where people usually stay to visit Meteora. Travel between them is very convenient, and we enjoyed restaurants in both towns. The mountains are accessible by foot from the hotel (small hike), so you really can't do much better location wise.
