The hotel is clean, service was great, and the environment is really cool. The thing that nearly ruined the trip was a large blinking light from a building behind my room. The blackout curtains didn’t cover the entire wall so the flashing light was visible the entire night. I should have asked to be moved to another room but already had my stuff unpacked and spread everywhere. Upon checkout, I let the concierge know. They apologized but said they had no control over it. Make sure your room doesn’t overlook the post office/industrial buildings.

What a lovely boutique hotel. I'm glad I decided to stay here rather than some chain hotel. The service was just top notch. Staff greeted me no matter where I was on the property. The valet is exceptional and considering how expensive it can be in larger cities it was so economical and swift and the valets were great to chat with while waiting for my rental. The breakfast I had one morning was yummy as well. The decor of the building was a nice histiric feel and the rooms were nice too. Loved the bathroom with the Black tile and the shower was unique. I wish I had more time to eat at the bar downstairs or check out the roof top (saw it from my room and it looked very inviting) Room wasn't big but was just right. If I have a reason to return to Bakersfield I plan to stay there.

Beautiful rooms, decor, size, all of it! Great staff as well. The only downside was that we stayed over on Saturday evening and there was a lot of noise from a bar nearby.

The hotel was definitely quaint but the rooms were small. That had one restaurant The other restaurant was closed and obviously no nightclub. The menu prices was off. I was overcharged for a menu item and it wasn’t that great. The service was horrible, let’s just say my husband did not get but one drink our entire meal and we were there for a while. they closed 9 o’clock on a Sunday, the best part of our trip was the blond valet guy he was super nice and helpful.

The bed has a feather mattress topper that will poke you making it impossible to sleep. Called the front desk because we couldn’t get comfortable and they brought up some blankets, requiring us to remake the bed. It was an uncomfortable night. Hotel has upgrades everywhere but the TV doesn’t work, we thought it was the batteries in the remote but it was not, just an old tv with a bad sensor. It was rather annoying.

Very nice staff and very good restaurant. Right in downtown and walkable to food and entertainment. Room was not the cleanest (stains, leftover residue) but was quiet, except hallway noise. Room and bathroom were spacious.

The hotel itself was amazing. The property was clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Brimstone, their bar/lounge was in full swing. One challenge was that the music was so loud that checking in was difficult, it was hard to hear. Otherwise, the room was clean and beautiful. The area surrounding the property is a mix of government buildings and small businesses. It looks as if the area is going through a revitalization. I would stay here again if I need to visit this part of Bakersfield again.
