We loved the stay. Room was clean and with plenty of room for our children. It was equipped with a kitchen and plates to make a dinner there in the room. Elizabeth was our housekeeper and we absolutely loved her. She is very knowledgeable about the area and is willing to answer any questions you may have. The beach is a short walk away, however, people are cautioned to not go into the water in that particular area is very rough. Taxis are in the area, very useful to go other ports where the water is more family friendly. Must try el cafecito down the street, el arrebato downtown, and punta brasas in punta zicatela. Visit the the Benito Juarez Mercado, try the food at the huquileñas.

The location was good cross street from Zicatela beach, during the night was noisy. The rooms are ok but not great, the beds are not too comfortable, the room had A/C that was good. It is connected to Santa Fe hotel (same administration) I ate seafood at the restaurant and I had food poisoning. Other than that the employees are very friendly. Other good thing about the bungalow is that you can make your own breakfast etc if you want.

This property is everything you need Security at night. Staff is so sweet and hopefully, shops are at walking distances and restaurants around the area are great. Beach is a 1 minute walk and it’s not crowded! I would stay here again

We loved everything about our stay. The suite up the hill was beautiful, with incredible views and impeccably maintained. The kitchen was surprisingly well appointed and we basically had a private pool five feet from the door. The main hotel restaurant was delicious, and service all around was fantastic. The funucular to access the suite was a blast. We can't wait to return.

The bungalows were quite large and roomy. The pool was lovely and pleased that we were able to use the pool from Santa Fe resort.
The cleaning staff and the service in the restaurant were awesome. The check-in ladies were great and a quick checking.
Quite noisy with traffic when sitting on the deck. Would be nice to have AC in the main living area of the bungalow.
Great location except for the noise.

Very happy with our stay. Ideal location. Good wifi. Bathroom and room fine. Great location. No complaints really. Kitchen is a little dingy but you won't be cooking anything when you can eat so cheaply on the beach !

On arrival we realized the hotel room was very close to and facing a busy road and very noisy. Lady luck, right across was the Hotel Santa Fe under same management and we obtained a lovely room, expensive, but worth it.

Most commendable about the hotel is its excellent restaurant. After heading out to the various beach palapa restaurants and being ripped-off with bad food and terrible service, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant once and never looked back! Food was well-priced, the menu varied – with an amazing vegetarian selection (unheard of in Mexico) – and every dish we sampled was absolutely delicious. The bungalows are not bungalows at all but rather a kind of house with 4 apartments. That said, each has a very private feel and has a pleasant terrace with table, chairs and hammock. There is a very nice pool in leafy surroundings with sun-loungers. The apartment itself is spacious with basic furnishings. There is a free purified water dispenser on each floor which is excellent. The TV has English channels. Within a few steps of a gorgeous white-sand beach with large waves. The hotel is within short walking distance of an ATM, shops, and a supermarket. The air-conditioning is efficient but oddly placed. The ceiling fans work well although they are rather noisy. On the down side, the wifi although free had a very weak signal. The service at the front desk was variable from somewhat hostile to passable. The apartments on the lower floor are not recommended because of foot traffic – try for one on the top floor. Although the terraces are sea-facing, you cannot see the sea because of the tall palm trees on the beach covering the view. Overall, highly recommended.

I have stayed here 3 times in the last two years. The staff is fantastic... the rooms are clean a tad dated maybe .. but still very nice....The hotel is convenient within walking distance of the main beaches.

We stayed in Bungalows Santa Cruz, located in two buildings adjacent to Hotel Santa Fe. The Bungalows were clean, with basic kitchen supplies and a hammock on the front porch. The entire complex has beautiful gardens, four smaller pools so that you can choose where you want to hang out and is quiet. Located on the main corner at the northern end of the zicatela, so it's convenient to get to everything. The only negative was that the bungalows faced right onto the street, so it was on the noisy side. Also the pillows were hard as well as the beds, so keep this in mind if this bothers you. The beaches are beautiful. Fishing is good and abundant. Whale and dolphin watching is prime in this area. It's very safe and you can walk pretty much anywhere. Best restaurants are on the Adoquin and Rinconada, and the Sushi place on the Zicatela strip is amazing. The restaurant in the Casablanca Hotel serves the best gourmet food at very reasonable prices (located on the Adoquin). No pressure to buy anything from the vendors. People are friendly. Taxis cost 25 pesos pretty much anywhere

Reservation staff did not speak English. They were neither friendly nor unfriendly. Rooms were huge. Restaurants staff spoke English and the food was good but s little pricy.

This is a decent place to stay. Very well located in Puerto Escondido with easy walks to the main beaches. It is right next to the Hotel Santa Fe, and the two properties share a reception desk and staff. The rooms are fine. The property itself is nice, fairly extensive, atomospheric. There are four swimming pools in all between the two hotels. We went for a swim at the nicer of the two pools at the Bungalows Santa Cruz, pictured on the website, and we were told by another guest that it was a private pool only for certain bungalows. We never verified this with the staff, just left and went to a different pool. The staff was very stingy about giving towels. They only gave us two towels for our family of four, and were very reluctant to give us more. That was disappointing. I had to ask for more towels twice, and they never came, so my husband went to the front desk and was able to get just two more.
