The manager of the hotel was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. The room was basic but spotless. The building was old and had some little querks such as "the hill" on our landing just before our room door 😆. The lift was "compact" and just a little cranky at times, but it worked ..... mostly! Absolutely ideal location for the ferry terminal amd for touring the local area. Sadly for got to take pics of the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in this clean and comfortable hotel. Easy access to the rail station and a short walk to the bus to the old town.

Had difficulty with the staff at the front desk. Our air conditioner did not work and it was not until the last night that we were there that we got assistance. We just kept getting a shoulder shrug when we asked for help. Because of allergies and having to leave the window open because of the heat, it made sleeping miserable.

We arrived in the evening by train. It is very conveniently located on block from the station. Nice breakfast. Lots of restaurants nearby.

Very friendly staff. Excellent service.

Nice facility overall; located near the walled part of the city. However, toilet was leaking and never fixed despite communicating with hotel staff.

Great spot! Right near the train station which is why we picked it. About 20 minutes from the walled city. If you are going to be arriving late, make sure to notify the hotel through the app and they should send you an access code and instructions. We arrived a bit later than expected and the receptionist was just leaving, thankfully we caught her before she left and she was able to help us.

So bad that staff told me reception close at 4pm. Wasn’t able to leave my luggage for a day trip. Really ridiculous.

My room was not really clean when I entered and the furniture seemed a bit outdated. Also, the receptionist was nowhere to be found when I arrived. And problem with the electronic lock on the door to my room, it didn't work. Breakfast had to be paid extra.

This hotel worked out for us very well. Our friend lives close to the hotel so we picked it. Its a bit far from historical sights but close to the train station and affordable.

Stay was excellent. This isn't a 5-star hotel. The rooms are small and efficient. The staff is friendly and helpful and very accommodating. The location is excellent - near the train station and a short, scenic walk to the walled city - or to Solidar. All around, a great value.

The front desk closes at 7 pm. I was arriving by ferry at 11 pm, so I called the hotel. They said, "No problem. Here is the code for the front door, and we will leave room 7 open for you." When I arrived, the code worked, but room 7 was locked, so I had to get another hotel.

Disappointed by the hotel. An experience to forget

The hotel is in a convenient location just a few minutes walk from the port areas an 'Intra Muros' St Malo. The advantage is that it's cheaper than staying in the old city and parking is easy - although it is 'pay and display' before 7pm. The hotel itself is a bit tired but ok for a night before boarding a ferry for example. The rooms all face a pretty busy road so it's noisy with windows open. The advertised wifi didn't work, no iron or hair-drier, no tea/coffee making facilities, no free bottled water.

Payed nearly £100 for one night stay, and I feel I have been robbed. Old mismatched towels in the bathroom, no hand towels, smelly carpet, super outdated decor and old fashioned blankets on the bed...the list goes on and on. We felt really uneasy in that room and wouldn’t have spend another night there. Old decrepit hotel badly in need of renovation taking advantage of late bookings at busy times in st Malo. Avoid it!

We needed a later check in due to our ferry arrival, and they were extremely accommodating and stayed late to meet us. Also very conveniently located next to the train station.

We were to Hotel Aux Voyageurs for 2 nights because we knew that we'll arrived late the first day (just before diner) and the day after we went to Mont St-Michel. Otherwise we will had reserved inside the intra-muros.
Regardless of what people may think of this hotel, the moment we stepped in we had a welcoming lady that took good care of us and gave lot of information for going around. As of a historic building, the cute norrow elevator is for one person with one suitcase at the time or 2 persons without suitcase.
The room we had is probably one of the 2 largest one on the floor and we most mentioned that the room was very clean.
We left very early after our second night and we had to take the train that is located just steps away.

Well, I lost my passport at this hotel, and so don't expect me to rave how wonderful it is. Really, it appears to actually be a restaurant with a couple of rooms attached; when I had to leave for my train (5:30 in the morning), the front desk was closed; I ended up having to leave my keys inside. That said, the room was reasonable (for a 2 star hotel), and if I hadn't lost my passport there, it was just what I was looking for (a room for the night that wasn't too far from the train station).

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. In some ways it's a good old fashioned, no nonsense small French hotel. If you've no car it's extremely well located, near the Gare Routiere and the Gare SNCF. There is also a free bus into the Intra Muros (Old Town of St Malo) and the Ferry Port. We liked the rock n' roll themed bar. Breakfast was no frills straight forward fresh French bread and croissants. Although near a roundabout the traffic was light after about 10 o'clock in the evening and did not get going until we were ready to get up. We slept like tops.

Great coffee! Friendly attention.Clean, comfortable and handy for the bus and railway station. It may be a little dated but its charming and only 11minutes walk to the walls. Round the corner we found a 3 course meal for 10 euros. A short stroll to the sea. Its good value. Only downside a bit noisy but we just shut the windows and slept well.

This is an ok basic hotel, near the old (and new) station. Interior is all a bit tired but staff are very welcoming and friendly. The 3 opening windows and good blinds were appreciated, but the whole of our room was carpeted - right up to and around the toilet bowl in the en suite bathroom, with no pedestal mat; there was only one bedside cabinet for the double bed (we used the one chair to put things on); there was only one drinking tumbler; the 2 small sachets of showergel were not replaced after the first night. All of this was disappointing and the main reason why I would not recommend this hotel.
