What a great experience. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home at this beautiful place. The host was amazing start to end. The breakfast was delicious with quality bread, fresh fruit, fresh juices and pastries. The entire place looks like a painting. 10/10

WOW! What a place to stay. I have to say that this was one of the best hotels I've ever booked. From the kindness of the staff (e.g. tips for the best beach) to the incredible breakfast - everything was nice. We felt like majesties living in a villa.

Maria was a gracious host and the property is stunning! Our room was large and beautifully furnished. The breakfast was like having high tea at a five star restaurant- fresh berries, pastry cheeses, sliced vegetables, egg dishes - presentation was as amazing as the food delicious

A beautiful hotel with gardens and a spa. We picked this hotel because we were bicycling through Portugal and we could get massages after a day of riding. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Maria is friendly and very responsive to messages. The breakfast was delicious with pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt and cereals. Also numerous restaurants within walking distance and a great pizza place with outdoor seating across from the monastery. I would stay here again.

We had a lovely room, decorated with personal touches, and the largest bathroom we have ever seen in the more modern building. Parking was safe & onsite. Breakfast was served in the Challet in a very elegant room, very classy and had anything you could want, including fresh squeezed juice. The gated grounds are lovely. Staff were all friendly and very helpful.

Beautiful indoor decor and wonderful quiet rooms with comfortable bed. Very good breakfast in a elegant dining room, easy parking and few minutes walk to the Monastery. Gave a 4 for property conditions because the outdoors needs a little upkeep but indoors it’s great. Nice staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely come again.

Great place. Very welcoming! Breakfast was awesome! Near the big waves at Nazare. Town is great and the monastery is impressive and uncrowded. We also enjoyed the visiting the SPAL porcelain factory outlet store!

Wonderful stay in a beautiful and charming location. Pedro was so friendly and would remember little details about us that made us feel special. The room was gorgeous and the breakfast was very tasty. I highly recommend staying at the chalet.

My reservation was canceled by the hotel at the last minute on the day I was arriving. The still processed the charge anyways, and are now refusing to credit my money back. I am now involved with a dispute through my Visa card. Very shady. Avoid this hotel.

The property located two minutes walking from the monastery, shops and restaurants. There is a spa next to the main building. Very nice lady, the owner, met us in her office and answered all the questions with a beautiful smile. She led us to the room prepared for us. There is an elevator, so no worries about the luggage . The property is very nice, it' was bery quiet and we had a nice sleep. Breakfast is delicious and served on time Highly recommended!

Very lovely place (clean and with a lot of historical charm). The top floor rooms, however, are limited in space by the sloping roof, elevator is tiny, beds could be softer, and the breakfast is unspectacular. So, we can't go above 4/5 and would only return if we can reserve one of the mid-floor rooms.

An excellent experience. We were greeted by hostess Maria, who was extremely hospitable. Our room was gorgeous and comfortable. A fresh bottle of water and two glasses on a nightstand, The bathroom was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was exquisite and beautifully presented. The Chalet Fonte Nova has gone out of its way to pay attention to every detail. Our whole experience felt magical.

My girlfriend and I were so pleased when we turned up to this beautiful building, and we were not disappointed when we went inside, we were met by Pedro who made us feel instantly welcome in this beautiful building, a small walk took us to the square where there are some restaurants including pizza,and a wonderfull pastelaria and of course the Monastery

This is a wonderful hotel. It is one of the more elegant properties I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. It is located only a short five minute walk from the main attraction in Alcobaça, the monastery, yet it seems as if you are out in the country. The landscaping is so beautiful. The staff is pleasant and professional. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Definitely rates 5 stars!
