For a nice hotel/country club where it was almost like being in the 50s. Certain things not allowed and u can hear everything in every room around u. Bed was loud and hot water barely lasted.

Felt like we was down upon because we was there for the dirt in December, so we wasn’t dressed appropriate. We would loved to had tried the food, but there was no menu in the room and we didn’t want to come be asked to leave.

My room and the restaurant were very cold but otherwise it was a nice stay. Lois atthe front desk was especially helpful as was Brian in Jake Buck grill.

2. When they came up to change the sheets, they left a comforter and the comforter had a stained on it too.
3. It was so noisy due to highway

Check in at 5:35 game at 6:15 and we stood for 15 minutes while staff was on the phone. Totally ignored us, made us late to game as we missed shuttle and had to walk briskly to Busch Stadium
2.5
We went to a Cardinals game and the hotel was in walking distance and they also had shuttles to take you to the stadium and back! It was a really cool hotel to stay at, very old school beautiful!
5.0
This was a great place to stay if you are in town to watch baseball. They even have a shuttle to and from the stadium.

Hotel was beautiful and full of history! Worked perfect for going to a baseball game!

My wife and i stayed as a get away weekend trip. Overall the stay was fine. The staff friendly and the lobby beautiful. However we found our room, while clean to be small and dated. The room and floor had a musty smell that was covered by lots of cleaning products. I am glad we were there only 2 nights as the smell was overwhelming. So while the hotel was cool and the staff pleasant overall for the price i would stay elsewhere.

Beautiful old building and hotel. Parking right by the hotel $25. Right where we wanted to be. Be aware getting off the interstate and to the hotel can be delayed by traffic for The Dome.

Great property, dress code for restaurants are too struck at property, but overall great stay

Nice Hotel with lots of history. It's definitely dated but it's supposed to be, it was built in 1903. For what we paid for the room and where it was located, I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in St Louis for a night.
4.0
The hotel is beautiful and the location is perfect, 5 minutes to the Dome and roughly 18 to Busch Stadium, making it a great choice if you're going for games or a concert. Parking was very fast even though a sold-out concert at the Dome was taking place in 2.5 hours. The hotel room was great. The only negative is the bathroom is weirdly elevated higher than most bathtub heights, so if you have any issues with that, get an accessible room. The entire thing looked like it needed a remodel. Definitely recommend, especially if they update the bathrooms.

Great hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I chose this location for a couple of reasons: my grandfather used to be a member of this all men’s club back in the 60s and 70s. It’s also within walking distance to ballpark Village, which is very handy if you’re there to see a game. The MAC has held up beautifully over the years. The decor is like something out of another world. It is gorgeous, clean, and very impressive. The staff was kind, and very quick to respond to anything we needed. That said, please note that there is a dress code for the lobby. This was not listed anywhere on hotels.com. The problem with this? If you want to spend any time in the lobby, playing cards, waiting for friends, bringing back a pizza and not eating in your room, things families do, you need to make sure you have a collared shirt, no flip-flops, and no athletic wear. Maybe this isn’t a problem for the average traveler, but it completely kept us held hostage in our room. Did we test that theory and see if there was a worker who is going to kick us out? No. But just be aware, old charm comes with old rules. I probably wouldn’t stay there again for this reason.

All staff members we encountered were incredibly nice and so very helpful. Although we were unable to check in early, we were permitted to park in the garage upon arrival allowing us to start our day in St. Louis early instead of having to wait around for our check in.
Beautiful hotel also. Lobby is gorgeous and rooms were very comfortable.

I’ve stayed here many of time and it is exceptional value, especially if you can catch it on a weekend or there is not a cardinal game

Very convenient location to the ballpark and the Arch. A great value for this location in downtown St. Louis.

Came down for the Cub/ Cardinals game with a group of 14. We had many rooms there and everybody was happy with their room. Great service, Nice location and beautiful hotel.

The facility was nice, restaurant excellent, and staff was very helpful and friendly. The water pressure fluctuated frequently while showering. The traffic noise caused me to have difficulty getting to sleep. If I stay there again, I will request an inner room without a window to the street.

It was clean and nice place to stay for a ballgame.

Very nice. Clean. Comfortable. Ceiling fan had an annoying loud “tick”. Outside noise kept me awake almost all night

Worth the price. Old school charm. Close to downtown.

The one bed room was smaller than expected though it did meet our needs. Bathroom and room were clean but needed some repair and updating. The rest of the venue was very clean and kept up well. The history of the venue has been kept up in its upkeep. We had breakfast there as well and it was delicious. Very walkable to Arch Park, Busch Stadium and other restaurants and shops.

Very cool
Look inside the hotel. In my opinion the rooms need redone. At least the bathroom. The air conditioning in the room was not to standard. There was no way to adjust.

This is a beautiful old property that has old world charm. The Missouri Athletic Club was established in 1903 in an ornate property that was a bank before that. It has extensive wood work and down molding and takes you back in time to guest service and appreciation. The rooms are smaller but comfortable bed. Small bathroom and shower. The desk chair where I did my makeup has a cushion that needs replaced as it may fall through any time. We were there for the ballgame and there was a complimentary shuttle to the ballpark. We ended up walking the .6 miles back afterwards because the shuttle wasn’t there when we came out for all three games. The bar and grill was beautiful but one side allows smoking and the cigar smoke was pretty strong. There were smoke filters on the other side and they worked quite well. The front desk seemed understaffed and new employee could answer questions concerning the shuttle and never called back when we requested a one hour later checkout. The room was set to 65• when we checked in and the thermostat was operated by a second knob that we tried to adjust but ended up turning it completely off and couldn’t quite figure it out. There was a ceiling fan that made up fie it. There is so much character in there it made up for the shortcomings. A very nice stay and a venue that would be perfect for a wedding. Great ballroom with high pillars and high ceilings.

It’s an old building but everything is clean and very classy. Staff is wonderfully helpful and kind. Saturday lunch buffet is excellent!

We were given the worst room in the hotel! Very small, step up into the bathroom was unsafe, tiles that had been painted were peeling badly in the tiny, old shower and on the walls and the paint on the walls in the bathroom were cracked. Worst room we have ever been given in a hotel. We booked two and thankfully our guests room was much better though the same price was paid for both.

Nice place to stay overnight, provides shuttle to games

good overall

The common areas of the building are the most impressive. Historic and full of character. I had a one-bed room which was certainly on the smaller side but worked just fine for my one night stay. I could hear anyone walking/talking when in the hallway as there was not much sound insulation. There is a dress code I was not aware of until check in (no hats or tshirts for example). Not sure how strictly they enforce it but the dress code coupled with noisy outdated rooms is kind of humorous to me. Overall no major complaints and no major praises but the room served its intended purpose.

Staff was friendly! The small bathroom had a door that was hard to close and open and a strange step up to get into the bathroom. Small room but was clean. The hotel’s free shuttle to Busch stadium was greatly appreciated!
