Hotel ist located at the small beach so we can go swimming or just enjoying sunshine. Swimming pool on the rooftop is too small but doesn't bother at all because the beach is just in front of the hotel. There are not many sockets in the room. Don't forget your plug adapter. Malta uses UK plug.

This hotel was the worst It was old and itchy because of the sheets, so I was all over my eyes with allergies. I changed the room in 3 days and it is not recommended because it is the worst hotel which is very misunderstood.

Really Good service, very clean and good location in Slimena The first room was noisy and the manager the second day changed us to other with double Window. We have connected our Netflix account to the smart TV. There is free parking clóse to the hotel and the street is full of restaurants. The swimming pool is on the roof with Really extraordinary views!

Booked single room for overnight stay. However, had to leave due to business. Overall a nice place. Clean and decent. Worth what you pay for. Nice location. For solo or couple is a decent+ place to stay.

A bit old but convenient location

We were a couple on a romantic trip, paying extra for sea view when booking the room, and then we get ........a WINDOW? For us, sea view would always include a balcony - even just a small one, but not at window!! We asked to change, but no other option than on the 1st floor with no sea-view because of the trees. e ended up checking out the same day and found another lovely hotel.

Staff were all welcoming and friendly. Basic room, but cleaned most days. Good choice at breakfast (Hot & Cold). Close too bus stops in both directions. Good choice of eateries all around and plenty more within walkin distance. Would definately consider for next trip.

It's in a fantastic location and has lovely sea views.

You could not have a better location than this for your stay in Silema. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Our only criticism is that the hotel is in desperate need of updating, the furniture in the rooms is very dated, the shower lacks power and the air con is effective but noisy. Price per night is a little high for the quality of this hotel but overall we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Positives. Good location on the front, by bus stop, close to many eateries, large room. Small pool on roof, great views. Balcony access thru 2 independent doors so couldn't hear the traffic even though you were on top of it.
Negatives. Lift was broken for 3 days, glad we were not on the top floor. Breakfast is on floor 6 (fine if you are floor 7 and lift is broken...). All flooring is tiles with no carperts/rugs/soft furnishings anywhere to deaden the sound so everyone's comings and goings echoed around. Small chest of drawers would have been useful, 2 small drawers inside the wardrobe was too little

The staffs were friendly and helpful and also hospitalble

I was quite dissapointed with a room. It was plain and didn't have any basic facilities like phone or plugs near the bed. It didn't help that the lift broke down on the middle of our stay, especially since we were on the 7th floor.
The cleanliness was great either. Window sills weren't cleaned for a while and the floors seemed hasn't been cleaned during our stay either.
Other than that ir was bearable.
The only two things want I liked about the hotel was a nice view of the bay and the roof top terrace

The hotel was in a perfect spot to walk one way to St Julian's and the other to Sliemma

Staff were excellent but hotel itself was not as good as 2 star we had just vacated in Valetta. Owners could improve with modest outlay. No plug in bathroom sink, no tea making facilities in room.could have used more shelf space. Antiquated room security meant single key had to be handed in for every excursion and low voltage bulbs made reading difficult. Lift was a joke and we didn't risk taking it to the 7th floor to see the pool. Still we are pretty resilient and for the price felt value just about fair. PS don't forget earplugs as road outside noisy.

Location - perfect. Room condition - very poor. But the price is relatively cheap, so u get what u pay for.

I was looking for an affordable place to stay and the Carlton Hotel ended up being a better deal with the package than a hostel would have been, so I decided to stay here. The staff here are seriously amazing, helpful and kind. Whether you have questions about things to do in Malta, the transportation system, places to eat, etc. the staff is enthusiastically helpful. The airline lost my luggage and the staff assisted with calls to track it. Great job, Carlton staff! The Carlton Hotel may not be fancy, but it is clean and has a fantastic location just across the street from the promenade and the bay. It's far enough away from the party scene of Paceville to be quiet and pleasant for families, but if night clubs are your thing it only takes about 15 minutes to walk to that area. I stayed here for two weeks and it was all great. I didn't use the rooftop pool while I was there, but it looked clean and the view from the roof was amazing!

excellent location, friendly staff, all you need! Check In was easy room was clean and comfortable, free wifi

The receptionist when checking in was extremely helpful - changing us to a room with a sea view when requested, and provided us with maps and information about the local area.
The room was clean, and a good size, although the bed could have been a little more comfortable - for the price we paid it was fine .
The breakfast was well stocked with a good variety of foods.
The views are excellent - from the roof terrace and from the rooms (we were on the top floor so didn't have a balcony, but the view from the window was perfect.
The hotel location is great, with a bus stop right out side. Approx 10-15 minute walk to St. Julians, and about 30 minute walk to the centre of Sliema (and the Point shopping mall).

Although clean and friendly, facilities lacking - no lounge, no bar, no comfortable chairs in room. This hotel is looking tired and I was a little disappointed. Paid extra for sea view and room on the first floor gave a few 'sea glimpses' through the trees! Noisy bar next door and incredibly noisy road outside almost throughout the night. Staff friendly and helpful, but this was not a 'hotel' experience for me. I have stayed in better and more comfortable youth hostels.

A little disappointed on arrival room small, but as we settled in became more and more pleased. A couple of small problems initially but resolved very quickly. Furnishings basic but linen and towels (quality and exchange)good. Weather was very hot whilst there but A/C well up to keeping room cool, did break down Sunday afternoon, reported p.m. fixed first thing Monday a.m. Double patio windows and blackout curtains kept traffic noise to a minimum.
Overall enjoyed our stay, biggest plus for hotel was staff especially Carl and young girl both very helpful nothing to much of a problem although all staff polite and helpful.
Lacking. sun cover on the roof and a small bar.
