12-15 minutes drive away from Phuket International Airport, area was quiet, not much of tourist as people tend to stay hotels at patong beach instead of Mai Khao. I arrived before 9.30am as I checked out at my previous hotel which was also 15 minutes drive away from Dream Villa. The check in was smooth and it took less than 30 minutes for my villa to be ready! Do note that check in time is at 2pm. The. Villa is huge for one adult and I enjoyed my stay, my villa was facing the beach and I’m able to witnessed sunset and sunrise from the comfort of the bed.

The facilities are very old and broken. When I opened the water in the bathtub, the water came out was yellow is color. I contacted the hotel staff and they send some staffs check and repair. They fixed for 1 hour and told me they will send someone to fix again tomorrow morning and maybe it is the color of the bathroom light that caused me to think the water is yellow in color. But I think it is definitely not the case and the explanation is not acceptable. The water is not mild yellow color at all. The pipe may be very old and caused the water color become yellow in color. I am so worried that I cannot get into the bathtub at all even they said they "fixed it" as the water is still same yellow color after they "fixed it".
Then, after a while, I found out the toilet is easily got stuck. I contacted the staff again and they sent someone to fix.
One more thing which I found not acceptable is that when I check-in the hotel, that staff told me that the breakfast included is not buffet, I have to choose from the menu list when I check-in. I chose what I wanted and they asked me if I want to have breakfast in my room or in the hotel restaurant. I chose to eat my breakfast at my room at 7am. At 7.05am, they called me and said breakfast cannot send to me room and I need to go to restaurant to eat. I almost missed my flight for the late notice. The breakfast is NOT TASTY and COLD.
The hotel price per day is over HKD$1800 dollar , for this price range, it is really NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Old used property. Needs renovation ASAP. The AC needs improvement. Also there’s empty huge gaps between the doors which let humidity enters the villa.

We had a fabulous stay at the Maikhao dream villas, we were two families with kids, and the villas were huge and spacious, with two large bedrooms, closet area and bathrooms. There was a really big dining, seating and kitchen area where we hung out and played board games.
The villas came with a pool and a jacuzzi, and the beach was a 50 meter walk from our Villa. The property had a lovely pool, a great selection of music and a beautiful stretch of beach we could walk to from our Villa.
The food we ordered was fresh and amazing and the service was fantastic. This is a perfect property for families with kids, as it’s relaxing, quiet and very engaging for the kids. Our kids spent the day alternating between the beach, the pool, the games on the property and the library. The spa was fabulous too, we got massages done and the manager was very knowledgeable and the masseurs were excellent.

Great place to relax and enjoy the beach. If you are looking for the party, its a bit further away from Patong.

Property was absolutely stunning, and anytime you called the front desk for anything at all they stopped what they were doing and came right away to help. We have stayed in dozens of hotels and this hotel has the best customer service of any of them.
The hotel is in a nice, quiet, residential area so absolutely expect to rent a car. It was our first time in Thailand for 2 weeks and we rented a car and drove all over the island. If you are at this hotel for more than a couple days you NEED to have a rental car.

The room and patio were beautiful! We loved having our own pool and a view of the beach. It was especially great when the babies napped and we could enjoy the outside. The staff were courteous and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious too! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Staff is excellent, no less, the property should start to do maintenance though, cracks in the ceramic tile in shower, jacuzzi should work like a jacuzzi, meaning at full strenght and a few places where paint is really needed.

By far one of the nicest places weve stayed in. Far exceeded our expectations. Hotel is in good standard and well designed with lots of local character. Has good facilities for long or short stay (Great Restaurant/Laundry service/Massage/Gym/WiFi). The staff are very accommodating and pleasant. We stayed in several places in Thailand, and this is one of the nicest places weve stayed in compared to other places globally, mainly due to the great Staff and design. A few names to note for great service are Blue, Sunny, Kang, Nut. The beach is only about 30m away (not safe for swimming) but is a good walk along the sand. One of the other highlights are the free to use bicycles from the hotel which we used to ride along the local streets for a more interactive experience. The breakfasts are delicious, sumptious and varied. The hotel puts in a lot of effort to keep the place safe from snakes (all of Thailand remote places are a snake threat) and during our stay we didnt even see a cockroach so thumbs up to them for keeping the place City slicker friendly :) Caution from the locals are not to walk around after dark in any outer city locations - by accident we did and had no issues at this resort. We used Grab/Uber to get to and from the Airport.

Great value for the space you have. The video of the villa definitely has raised higher expectation than it actually is (5 vs 4). Maintenance seems to be needed...e.g. doors can not be functioning probably (door hinge issue that doors in one bedroom & bathroom will not stay opened, doors close halfway on its own).
Close proximity to the Beach.

I booked the ride from the airport to the resort with Maikhao Dreams but when I arrived at the airport, my ride was not there, I have to called the resort (which was a long distant call for me) to find out where's my driver. They told me to wait. After 10 min there were still no sign of my ride, so I have to make another call (also a long distant call) to the resort. They told me to wait for another 5 min. I ended up taking a cab myself to the resort.
When I arrived at the resort, I had to take my luggage all the way to my villa. No one were there to take my luggage. This was the first time I had to carry my own luggage to my villa. The phone in my villa was not working, every time I had to call the front desk or room service, I had to walk to the front desk to place my order. The phone was not fixed until the second day of my stay.
The lock of the main entrance, the 2 entrance to the pool, the entrance to the beach were all not working properly. Not even when they sent a so called an engineer to fix them.
while the tissue paper were out, the house keeping just wouldn't refill them, I have to remind them twice to have them refilled.
The knowledge of the staffs were not good. I wanted to exchange hkd to THB, the front desk lady told me they don't deal with HKD, after I insisted on doing so, a senior staff came and told the other lady they do deal with HKD.
Other then these matters, the rest of the resort were quite nice. The size is great, very spacious, good location.

The hotel staff was ripping me off charged me 80 to pick me up from the airport told me it was round trip then charged me 30 to drop me back off, and if I would of called a taxi it would of only been 15 dollars. They took sodas and chips out the room told me I did it, just to charge me. Keep telling me after dinner to add it to the room I did then I had extra charges I owed 700 when I was ready to check out, they told me it was 800 and wanted me to pay in cash, they were billing me 21,000 in BAUT money wanted me to pay 800 American money cash I said no charged it to the card when I checked my account only 700 came out if I would of paid 800 cash they would have gotton me again. They only have one expensive restaurant with nasty food 25 for a burger patty that was frozen DONT STAY

Avoid this property at all costs. To start with, the hotel advertises one bedroom villa to be 4306-sq-foot (400-sq-meter) and two bedroom villa to be 4919-sq-foot (457-sq-meter); both with private pools. In fact, our villa was not bigger than 400-sq-feet (38-sq-meter) and in pretty bad shape. The private pool was there but the water was green and there was green growth on the sides and bottom. Half of the resort was shut down for renovation -which meant construction sounds 12 hours a day with the workers hanging out on the beach all the time. The main pool was closed as were two out of the three restaurants. The staff did not speak any English and were utterly unhelpful. We pre-paid our 8 day stay, but left and moved to another property after one day.

First impression the room was fantastic with beachfront access and huge pool. Unfortunately we then discovered ants everywhere, the level of English spoken by staff was average, and most disappointing the pipes needed to be fixed so it smelled really bad outside our villa.

The hotel is just fabulous, Villas are extremely beautiful, clean and spacious. We booked a 1 bedroom Villa and they upgraded it to a 3 bedrooms villa free of charge, the staffs are very friendly and helpful. The food is very delicious but over priced. the location is far from activities and town and taxi is very expensive, but if you are looking for the privacy this hotel will be the right choice. the sea is strongly wavy, not good for swimming.

I have to tell you I was a little worried when we booked this stay. From experience if place is named "dream villa" then it usually isn't. In this case the name fits. What you see on the website is what you get. Rooms are amazing. All of our pics look like stuff you see on Pinterest. Staff was amazing and it felt like they were there just for us the entire stay. Impossible to name one standout as they were all ready to help at all times. One of the concierges is aptly named Siri. Location is perfect if you just want to spend some time to get away from it all... It is away from it all. However, we could not find a reason to go anywhere else. Food was amazing. A bit pricy for Thailand but still about half of what comparable meals would cost here in DC. The daily breakfast buffet should be called a daily gourmet brunch. My favorite part was the honeycomb dripping fresh honey. The beach was okay, but again there was never any reason to leave the private two level pool, waterfall, hot tub and outdoor sala. Spa prices were in line with other high end spas, but yet again it was like having our own personal spa as they were always ready to accommodate. Can't wait to get back to that side of the world again thanks.

On the quiet side of the island of Phuket (who knew that there WAS a quiet side?) about an hour from the party beaches, so be forewarned about that. But only 15 minutes from the airport. But more importantly a beautiful resort in a beautiful location with really excellent staff and good food. Need I say more? I highly recommend this spot for couples, families or anyone who just needs to relax in paradise.

Beautiful property. The rooms are absolutely amazing. Communication was a real issue though. What good is a private butler if they don't speak english?
