The two bedroom bungalow we stayed in was fine. We had a kettle and fridge and clean towels every other day.
We were in C block which was great as we were very close to the pool, slides and entertainment.
Breakfast was fab!
Self service beer/soft drinks.
Great bargain stay very good value for money!

Had a great time in Caleta Dorada I looked at the reviews and some were negative, but I honestly don't know why. I couldn't fault the place and the staff were lovely. I would definitely go back again.

You get what you pay for. Clean and tidy and food was ok, but the temperature of the food was not warm unless tou were 1st in!!! Resort is on a hill and i am glad we hired a car.

Freshly updated property, B2 was in a block of 3 which was ideal quiet & private.
Property is no more than 3 stars but offers everything needed for a comfortable stay.

The property is spread out over a fairly large area. But we knew this before we came. Yes you have to queue sometimes for meals but the staff clear the tables and accommodate you asap. The food is replenished regularly and it is a buffet. The rooms are clean and cleaned throughout the stay. More water stations around would be helpful. As a coeliac I had to be extra careful with what I ate there were no gluten free deserts apart from ice cream and jelly. However I am in the minority. Overall as a family we had a happy holiday.

Was a clean enough hotel , staff were nice the food wasn't to my taste although the breakfast was really good , a full English with Spanish bacon and plenty of continental choice .

Newly refurbished apartments in block C. Pool bar and swimming pool in excellent condition. Staff could not be nicer from reception to dining to pool bar. 5 stars. The 2 new animation lads where super friendly and enthusiastic. All inclusive was very good especially breakfast and lunch. The complex is split over a wide location with the reception separate and dining area separate again. The surrounding area needs a lot of TLC. No proper pavement and no street lights as you walk between the complex. This is not the fault of the hotel. This is the local authority issue

Clean, friendly, quiet, good value overall.

The reception and all day staff were very kind and helpful. There was an incident involving girls in the complex being followed and I called the night security and no one answered. This could have been more serious if I wasn't sitting on my porch at 2am and managed to scare 2 locals following 3 girls away.
Apartments would benefit from an upgrade very soon and some air conditioning.
The pool area staff were great, beds need replacing or fixed as they are sagging and uncomfortable.
I know i sound like I am just moaning for moaning sake but in truth, if they spent some money on an upgrade this would be a great hotel.

The hotel is close to the airport what makes catching up early flight easier. The condition of the property is not good.

No wifi, no air conditioning, queues in a restaurant to get plates and forks even, very old and worn out mattresses in beds, room cleaning is coming any day they want, lots of broken sun beds at the swimming pool, no toilet paper in toilets. Hairdryer and all TV channels are paid, but I paid for all-inclusive. Very basic 2 stars with nice staff.

We arrived at our basic room I would not rate 3 star more like 1/2 very basic facility’s our room had a back door which basically you touched and it opened the lock was hanging off even when the maintenance guy came to fix it you could still push it hard and it opened ! This concerned us as a lot of guests were talking about breakins , my husband went to ask reception to move rooms and they wouldn’t do this till they had sent the maintenance guy who came tried his best but the lock opened his fix was with some black tape not ideal and left me uneasy so my husband went back to speak to hotel manager who eventually moved us rooms as he was not taking no for an answer this room was slightly better but we had 2 single beds pushed together we could here dogs barking , we simply pushed some stools against the door and carried our belongings around with us , yes there was a safe to hire ? This was not fixed down so why pay to hire it ! If you needed a hairdryer again you had to pay , there was no entertainment on And New Year’s Eve we were all given a party bag and bottles of cava for the tables the clocks struck 12 we went to watch the fire works came back to the bar and they had cleared away all the tables and drinks and shut the bar !! Very disappointing

Family of four holiday, the hotel suited our needs, you get what you pay for, and it cost us under £100 a day all inclusive for four people.. we knew it would be cheap & cheerful.. we upgraded to a room with a sea view which was worth it.. the main pool area was closed for a couple of days when we first arrived for some renovations, which was a shame but we just used the lower pool.. the food was nice in the buffet restaurant, a good variety, plus you could get snacks at the pool bar all day! Overall I would recommend just don’t expect the Ritz!

This hotel is a large set of chalets spread across public accessible roads internally which is a worry. Smell of sewage from toilet and when complained nothing was done. Pool was good. Slides land in over 5 feet of water just in case little ones cant swim. Also lifeguard asleep at the wheel. Saw a few kids get into trouble. Also seen quite a few guests on bandages probably due to slippy tiles. Airplanes noisy. No air con...must pay for safe, kettle, hairdryer, kettle or iron. Roadworks going on beside me which probably disturbed ground which may explain seeing a rat or broken sewer lid outside accomodation. Also would not give us late checkout option despite explaining we had a child with special needs.despite this my son loved the pool.

Caleta Dorada is not a hotel just a complex.Had to pay for tv channels ,air conditioning ,hairdryer n iron.Restaurant was just chaos .Queue to get in and free for all to grab a table.Food was cold ,tasteless and greasy.Only one bar served snacks all day .Over all very run down ,dated and dirty looking.Lots of break in’s as well .Would never go back and certainly wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

I like this property shame I could not book a late check out due to the volume of people staying.

As a couple we decided to book 4 nights at Caleta Dorada before a planned change of scenery to a sister hotel. At check-in, the reception team seemed unfamiliar with our online reservation and kept asking for a type of voucher; frustratingly this went on for a while and we didnt actually know whether our online booking had worked until presented with keys. Very generally, most guests at this hotel appeared to fit the stereotypes of either from Leeds or Glasgow. Caleta Dorada seems to exclusively deal with Brits on an All Inclusive; but also other foreign pensioners on some kind of full board basis (this still seemed to secure them self service drinks at meals so Id like to know how their deal compared to ours!).The best thing was the view over the town from up the hill, the spacious poolside area, ease of getting a sunbed and the choice of all inclusive drinks (includes help yourself spirits at lunch and 4 types of pre mixed cocktails).Worst things was the inability to get seated at breakfast and dinner; there is no waiting for tables, people just continuously keep coming in and walk in circles until a table becomes free. The number of collisions and near misses is dangerous especially when walking around with cutlery and glassware. Even when seated you cannot enjoy your food without being elbowed by passers by! Tables too close! We would consider coming back due to the lovely scenery and spacious poolside area which made this more attractive.

Had a lovely week away, only negative about the holiday was the rooms being very cold and damp.

hotel was clean and tidy back from the beach witch I knew as I've stayed there before, there was lots of subsidised holiday makers there that behaved like animals so I will not return.

The price Is cheap but the rooms are old.the mattress Is hard like a surfboard,no cold water in the bidet of our room but boiling and some cockroach also in the wardrobe.Luckily the staff Is very kind and the food at the restaurant Is good.

The hotel is clean. The staff work hard to keep it clean. Food is decent always something to eat fish and meat cooked in the evening, chips and pizza. Pancakes and eggs and omelettes for lunch. Cooked breakfast had decent sausage and bacon. Croissant every day. Even the fussiest eaters can get by on what’s on offer Pools were clean and there’s 3 of them. Entertainment is a bit light in the evenings once the kids show is over but kids have a good time in that part of the evening. The apartment complex is a bit tired. I Don’t put money in the machines they don’t work. There’s a bit of a smell up by the counter where you can self serve drinks mostly due to people constantly spilling drinks was there every day though. The rooms are standard apartment rooms a bit old. But very clean. I was in block b and had a great holiday I would go back on a late deal. I’d skip the evenings entertainment and head into the town 2 min walk where the bar puts a show on every day which was good.

Awful place. Had to move bungalows three times in 7 days with my family of four. Dated facilities and bungalows. Terrible smell of sewage in the bungalows due to several ongoing drainage problems. Awful and harmful smell. Also unable to use wardrobes due to very high levels of damp. Awful smell. Moved to second bungalow. Problems with the bath and shower. Brown water coming out of the shower head and bath tap due to rusty hot water tank. Had to move to a third bungalow carrying all luggage once again. The dinning room is overcrowded. Sometimes you have to wait to get a table. Difficult to walk with plates around the tables as there are more than 1000 guests. Staff shortages and everybody works really hard, waiters, kitchen staff and receptionists. Everybody is really nice and friendly but I felt sorry for them for being exploited and having to work in terrible conditions. I do not recommend this place. Avoid at all costs.

Hotels a little dated and very spread out. Showers are pretty poor. Some bathtubs are tiny. Restaurant is too small for the size of the hotel. There were a couple of times we just went out and paid for food as we were never going to get a seat any time soon. Food is average.

We had a cleaner every other day . We only stay 5 days . The 2 cleaners were so rude to us just becaause we wanted to change our black bin that was dirty of my little one nappy ... we went to the reception and complain but the receptionist said it must be language problem i dont think so.
In the morning we had to queqe to enter in the restaurant for breakfast .i have been travelling quite a lot but it never happened to me. The food was cold i had even said to one lady chef and she said what do you want me to do its not working . I tought the food needs to be in warm so doesnt create bactiria..that morning i found a hair in my plate i couldnt eat anymore. The food was disgusting even my son loves pasta didnt want to eat. For 4 nights my son didnt have a propraly meal. one evening one little girl vomited and the waitress was complaing with another one .
If you wanted to watch tv you had to pay. And in the apparment there was no fork or plates. I went the receptionist a day before for my transfer and i had for 7.54 am i ask if i could have some milk for my boy and they said i couldnt have it because the restaurant was closed and i was suppost to pay if i wanted the milk . So we ask for a kettle and was 2 euro per day and 10 euro depost .. i took it but i was upset . The all experiance was disappointed i will never go back and i wont recommend this hotel to my friends , like i did in the past . Pay 50 £ more you can have better experience and better service
