Wonderful updated hotel in downtown San Luis Obispo. Comfortable bed, fabulous bathroom shower and tasteful decor. Bistro restaurant & Night Cap bar are both world class. Staff was friendly & professional.

The hotel is very nice, old building being renovated. Our room was very small. The bed was not what we are used to, so sleeping was difficult. If we were younger we would have enjoyed it more being older comfortable sleep is everything.

Beautiful old building but very dark inside. Rooms are nicely decorated but very small. Bathroom / shower fans cannot be turned off inside the rooms which becomes really annoying if you’re spending any time in the room during the day. Lots of character and overall a nice stay. Beautiful bar where they serve amazing cocktails.

Beautiful room, great amenities, a wonderful bistro. What more could you want the staff for extremely friendly and helpful. My room was very unique and even had a fireplace. It’s so close to the town center. I will definitely stay there again.

Very small rooms.
No light at the room entrance door, flash light was needed.
We han no disturb sign on the door, when we returned there has been service in the room, which is not okay.

Beautiful, boutique hotel in downtown SLO with very small but well decorated rooms. The attached restaurant is amazing and the bar Nightcap is delightful.
The staff were not the friendliest, but overall the experience was good!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating communication excellent.
Hotel is old and charming many sitting areas and bar.
Had an excellent dinner at Granada Bistro ONLY open for dinner
Rooms are too small for 2 people. Bed didn’t seem like a queen. Parking is a challenge for a larger car Price is high price for the size of room and bed and no breakfast toilet paper was rough 1 ply.

Great upstairs terrace

Lovely boutique hotel- perfect for a romantic getaway. We chose a smaller room but it was comfy and luxurious. The upstairs communal outdoor patio was a lovely perch to drink wine and enjoy the delicious morning coffee and tea service. The bartender at the bistro prepared us some customized drinks and we enjoyed a fun conversation and afternoon snacks!

Pleasant surprise staying in this hotel! Rooms are great with modern-style bathrooms. Was able to sit out on my balcony and get work done. Loved the bars here, including the speakeasy which was a nice chill spot for our last evening in town. Great location, in the middle of everything.

An absolutely charming vintage 1920s era hotel in the heart of downtown SLO, Beautifully restored to its original glory, you will be dazzled by its elegant interior design. At check in we were greeted by friendly front desk staff on the main floor, followed by a complimentary glass of wine and antique hotel key with an ornate tassel, we were helped with our baggage to our luxury queen room on the second floor. The room is cozy, complete with fireplace, a small balcony and a large sauna shower in the beautiful marble bathroom. There’s also a wet bar, miniature refrigerator and plenty of comfortable seating. The hotel is attached to its own bistro and speakeasy bar that guests have priority access to and the staff will happily make you a reservation for their popular restaurant. They also offer a complementary mini breakfast bar and there’s a beautiful seating area upstairs along with rooftop access with additional seating for enjoying the excellent coastal weather. Everything entertaining and retail is only a short stroll away in the downtown area. The front desk will keep you updated on hours of operation and hotel access instructions after hours via text message, Our stay was overall an excellent experience and we enjoyed our accommodations very much and will add Granada Inn to our favorite places to stay.

The overall ambiance was amazing, the room was not large by any means but beautiful and very romantic, soft lighting, and just super cozy. Definitely will be returning next time we are in the area.

Quaint hotel with lots of charm. Loved the style of the room and breakfast. Only recommendation would be to start the coffee and breakfast before 7:30 AM for those of us that are early risers.

Very cozy, nice rooms. Really nice spots to hang with friends by the fire or in their cute bar.

Unfortunately our room (#2) was right above the bar which was very noisy and doesn’t close till 11. Luckily the front desk has ear plugs but still not ideal, especially considering it is a more expensive room. They were able to move us to a quieter room the next day and everyone is very sweet but the soundproofing in hotel is minimal. The hotel restaurant was one of our favorite meals and the NA cocktails are pretty good. The coffee for breakfast was burnt both days and WiFi is kind of slow but the bed is heavenly and fireplace is nice addition. Location can’t be beat.

First, the good: lovely, stylish, charming hotel, great location, reception and evening bistro staff was friendly and helpful. Now the bad: breakfast was out, as in no food, no coffee, at 9:10 am (closing time is 10 am) - for a second day in a row, I heard from other guests. Coffee was brought out later, after finding someone and asking for it, and just a few minutes before closing time some yogurt also appeared. There was no parking in the back (all taken) - we had to go to a nearby building for public parking (paid for by the hotel and doable, but a bit of an inconvenience.) The worst though was that our room, #3, had a terrible musty smell as if we were trapped in an old cellar, and no amount of airing the room helped it. It probably came through the air conditioner, and it was bad. This issue should be seriously looked into.

Long weekend stay. Went up there to catch a show at the Fremont. It was a fun experience, hotel very well located, shopping, restaurants and bars all very walkable distances.

Interesting, not cookie-cutter. Morning coffee, juice, pastry, yogurt provided in beautiful sitting area. Personal preferences: real room key is clunky to carry; mirror over sink (rm 11) is too high for short people to use; low watt lighting in every fixture made makeup application difficult. (Provided lighted makeup mirror did not work.) Not enough flat surfaces to unpack - lose the retro radio or find someplace else for it. Nice that robes were provided. Very good location and staff was excellent.

Yes, this IS a "Boutique Property", in our opinion. So, NO, it does not have everything that you might perhaps expect from a very modern, very plush, very well stocked property. What we thought it had instead is charm, out of the wazoo, excellent (friendly helpful and knowledgeable) staff, a truly great bistro (attached) and an outstanding location for just about everything. The bar was more than slightly chaotic, and closed early seemingly arbitrarily, but the town is truly magnificent and the hotel is in a great place for access to the beaches and the vineyards. Be warned though: parking is TIGHT. Not the cheapest date (as one would have expected) but we thought reasonable value nonetheless. Would we go back? Absolutely!

This small format hotel has the feel and amenities of an ultra-luxury resort. The rooms are sumptuous, the staff is welcoming, and the adjoining restaurant offers interesting and varied dishes. We went with Spiced Moroccan Lamb Burger and the Steak. Both were very good. Although room rates include a Continental Breakfast, this was not a highlight. We were on an extended road-trip that included chain hotels and extended formats, and the Grenada was easily the best of the lot.
