Everything was great except when the elevator was not working. The room was large and they have a laundry room easily accessible.
4.7
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was excellent, roomy, good bathroom and small kitchenette with microwave. It also included a small enclosed private balcony. The hotel was well located allowing walking to most attractions in the area

First time to Berlin and this is by far one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Europe. The room was huge with a full kitchenette with counter stools, walk in closet, spacious bathroom and an enclosed balcony.
The hotel property was clean and was a convenient 7 minute walk from a main station. The staff was super friendly. We weren't able to check in when we first arrived in the morning because the room wasn't ready so we left our bags with the front desk. The hotel did call us early around noon letting us know the room was ready and we could check in early. They even had our bags already in our room waiting for us. Great service.
The room was huge compared to most hotels we have stayed at in Europe. As with most hotels in Europe, there is no AC, but we didnt have an issue with the balcony opened while on the 3rd floor. The room was very quiet and we werent even disturbed by a nearby nightclub. There are double doors that open to the balcony and then double windows that open om the balcony that allows a nice breeze into the room.
The hotel is centrally located with most major attractions only a 15 minute walk away.
Overall, I'd rate this hotel and our experience a 10/10 and would stay here again.

Good price central to the city. Close to all attractions.
4.7
Very nice and well located.

Nice base camp for a Berlin trip. Room and area was nice. The only down side is there was no air conditioner for the hot summer months.
4.7
This is a great hotel with kind staff and location. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning. Even though it was listed as having air conditioning on Google, there was none and the temperature was around 30 Celsius all week.
4.7
Perfect location for getting everywhere around the city, appointed with necessities, and comfortable. Really perfect for a single traveler or a family if you get the suite with the 8th floor terrace
4.7
Nice room with kitchenette in the center of Berlin.
4.7
We had three of us staying in one room. Two seniors and our teenage grandson. Room was spacious and quite nice. Only downside was the cost of getting extra towels.
4.7
I stayed on Friday night. Public transportation was nearby, and the staff were very kind and friendly.
4.7
The accommodation was really well located and the size of the room was great. It was looking a little tired however with scuffs to the walls, chipped tiles on the bathroom floor and also on the furniture.
4.7
Outstanding!
4.7
Nice environment. Good location. Good service.
4.7
Fantastic place to stay in Berlin! As this is not a “traditional” hotel, more like an apartment hotel, the room was very spacious with a sitting area and a kitchenette, just perfect. The adjacent Italian restaurant is very good.
4.7
Close to transportation. Cozy and big.

This place gets such good reviews, but honestly, I do not understand why. The location was perfect, but beyond that, I didnt really like it. The room was cold (not the temperature, which was always way too warm and I couldnt adjust it) and sort of sterile. You could light a match off of the carpet. Absolutely nothing warm and welcoming about the room or the premises in general. The shower had white soap-scummy stains in it. There were two coffee pods, and when I asked for more, I was told they cost 70 cents each, which I thought was very mean. Also learned I could rent - yes, rent - a bathrobe. Very odd. The bed was comfortable enough. It wasnt a very nice place to hang out and relax after a long day. I didnt love it, and wouldnt really recommend it.
4.7
Great location, excellent room and design.
Altho the room ("apartment") has a kitchen, there is no nearby place to buy groceries (food, coffee, cream or other beverages) to keep in the fridge, and the hotel does not provide any food/dining room for breakfast or other meals.
The passageway to the rooms on the 8th floor is a bit dangerous, I recommend they install proper steps, or warning signs and maybe a grab bar.
4.7
I booked this place for its proximity to the Berlin marathon start. The hotel exceeded my expectations. It has a large bathroom shower, walk in closet, kitchenette with everything you need but a stove, and also has a nice sized balcony to relax.
It’s close to the subway and walking distance to the Bradenburg Gate
4.7
Great stay for the Berlin Marathon. Within 1 mile walking distance to the start and very close to all restaurants, attractions, etc. Hotel room very clean, spacious, and as described. Highly recommended for the price!
4.7
Fabulous location with a front desk team who were super friendly and helpful
4.7
Bathroom was not clean.
4.7
Super clean and well appointed. Spacious room. Arrived after 5pm and reception was closed. Self check after 5pm , which had not been clear. But the process was easy.
4.7
Don't expect them to pamper you; they call it a border house for a reason. Save money by foregoing simple luxuries and enjoy the spacious, well-appointed room and great proximity to everything. Go there with eyes flippin closed!
4.7
Very good location for sightseeing. Very comfortable room. Little disappointed to be told that the coffee and tea provided would only be replaced after three days. I could have paid for them at 70c per serving which I felt was a little mean given the expense of the room.

The Clipper Boardinghouse is a quality hotel and we enjoyed our stay. Our room was spacious and modern with nice amenities. Unfortunately, the air-conditioning was not working and we were in Berlin during a heat wave. The hotel had notified us 10 days in advance of our stay, but we were in a remote area of another country and missed the email. Still, we managed with the fan provided. We would stay at the Clipper Boardinghouse again. The service was excellent.
4.7
Great aparthotel, spacious rooms and with all needed amenities. Also the location is great, near many shops, restaurants. also Bradenburg Tor reachable by hand. Metro station just around the corner.
4.7
It was very close to historical sites we were interested in seeing.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning was being repaired. However, we were grateful for the fan that was supplied.
4.7
Very well located and spacious apartment. Kitchen with everything you might need!!
We asked for additional beds, for two additional guests. Total of 4! And had still space and were comfortable.
4.7
The property was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. It’s very close to the subway and it has an Italian restaurant downstairs and also a Subway sandwiches. We really enjoyed our stay here and recommend this place.
4.7
The hotel is well located and super near all transport means. The bed is very comfortable.
That being said, its a bit too expensive for what it is. It only has a microwave so no cooling possible. There are dishes but no dish rack to dry them after washing so if you use dishes the place inevitably looks a mess.
The internet is VERY flakey. I would not recommend anyone work from there.
4.7
The Clipper Boardinghouse was comfortable and clean, the staff were cheerful and helpful and the location in Mitte Berlin was close and convienent for all the sights, restaurants and shops! Why would we stay elsewhere??!!
4.7
A large suite for less than the price of most other rooms in the area. A mini kitchen with a nice 2 burner counter top unit. Nespresso machine, microwave and refrigerator. Made breakfast in the room every morning. Nice bathroom. Also had an enclosed porch with sitting area and windows all around. Location was great. Nice Italian restaurant connected to the hotel which was open until midnight.
4.7
Excellent room and well equipt in a great area.
4.7
great hotel and very good location highly recommended
4.7
Pros: clean, central location, kitchenette, free washer and dryer,
Neo espresso machine, helpful front desk
Cons: my unit faces back alley and it is noisy at night and early morning if the windows are opened
4.7
convenient to museums
