Like always - we had a great stay

It was a great location, clean though a little dated. The tv was tiny. Breakfast was nice.
4.3
Amazing location, great service. Would highly recommend. Easy walk to the ferry and right in the middle of a charming square.
4.3
Perfectly located hotel only minutes from the lake front. Lovely restaurant and bar facilities with very accommodating staff. Enjoyed our stay very much.
4.3
Good value for money. We only stayed one night, was in a good location and breakfast was pleasant enough. Would of preferred softer pillows and more than one.
4.3
Perfect location. Nice breakfast included. Helpful and friendly staff. Pillows are worn out, but everything is very clean.

I love this hotel, its tucked up a little side street minites from the lakeside. The Piazza and shops are all close by. Our room was clean and quiet with everything you need. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. The staff are great. Alway a smile. If you get the chance eat at the trattoria attached, the food is gorgeous and Andy made the whole experience brilliant.

Best Locations, owner is fabulous, hotel is very updated, breakfast is excellent.

Hotel is located in a narrow street 20m off the main square in Desenzano which places it at the heart of the resort. Having stayed on 4 previous occasions I can confirm that in the last 12 months the hotel has been through a major refurbishment and modernisation programme. The rooms are well decorated and air conditioned and are furnished in a modern style to suit and older building. Breakfast is a standard continental buffet with an individual service for coffee. Despite being in the centre of town and hotel's own outside restaurant operating in the street, rooms are quiet. There is choice for dining with a pizzeria, wine bar, courtyard restaurant and street main hotel restaurant offering a wide range of italian food. The hotel also offers guests a very reasonable fixed price 3 course menu with a daily change in selection. All of the staff are friendly and go out of their way to interact with customers and ensure they meet your expectations. The approach is relaxed and efficient, giving you plenty of time to enjoy meals at your own pace. We have been to this hotel 4 years in succession, each year we have seen improvements that continually take it further ahead. It is no more than a 3/4 minute stroll from the hotel to the ferry terminal to explore Lake Garda, and another minute to the main bus terminus.

Clean room, wonderful, helpful and very friendly staff. Centrally located, very close to all of the major attractions. Will be back.

Location was very good - central. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast didn't provide too many vegetarian options. Staff in the hotel was nice and friendly, but staff in the restaurant was unpolite and didn't communicate with English properly.
4.3
What a wonderful hotel.. the room was great, but we had the choice to upgrade to a suite for a very reasonable price.. lovely people, great location.. and most of all, Bruno was a star.. helped us out with everything including parking.. highly recommended

We stayed here for 4 nights. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable too. We did have a room facing the restaurant which got a bit noisy in the evening. We mentioned this to the manager and she managed to move or room the next day. Although this room was smaller, the room was comfortable and very clean and there was no noise which allowed us to rest.
The staff were all very welcoming from the reception desk to the restaurant staff.
The breakfast was good for a conitinetal breakfast. There was crossaints, yogurts, fruit, cereals ect. There were lots of hot drinks to pick from too. The restaurant was very clean to eat at.
The location was amazing! There are so many restaurants to eat at, small shops for shopping and a small supermarket to get water from. Also the hotel had amazing transportation links. We got a train to Desenzano and then walked 15mins down hill to the hotel. There is local buses and a ferry for lake Garda.
Would highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back!

Silent, good breakfast, directly in the city, just few meters to the beach: top
4.3
Extremely charming hotel with friendly staff right next to the beautiful square.

Cosy hotel, excellent location. Very, very helpful and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Good breakfast and also food at restaurant. Warmly recommend Albergo Trattoria Alessi and Desenzano to visit at Lake Garda. Good connections by train for example to Milan, Verona, Venezia and by ferry to other sides of Garda.
4.3
Cosy, small hotel in an alley close to the centre and harbor. Our room had a fabulous view of the courtyard restaurant. The staff was very friendly. We ate at the restaurant and the atmosphere was fantastic and food and service was very good. Would definitely recommend.
4.3
Really good value accommodation, right in the middle of Desenzano less than 5 minute walk to the lake, shops and restaurants. Room was comfortable and big, very clean and crucially had much needed air conditioning! Room was also serviced every day (we stayed a full week). Breakfast buffet was good which included continental breakfast and a small selection of cooked food (we also ate in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was excellent). Hotel staff were very friendly. The only slight downside was the wifi wasn't particularly reliable. All in all would very much recommend this hotel as a place to stay by Lake Garda.

The hotel was great value, clean rooms with plenty of space, good air con and decent breakfast. The location is great, just a minute walk from the restaurants/bars and the hotel restaurant is fabulous if you can afford it.

Definitely enjoyed my stay. Management was very accommodating. Hotel is rated as a 3 star, but definitely high end 3 star IMHO. Good value!

Very central, clean, nice breakfast and fab courtyard restaurant.

Nice people, good location. Nice for relaxed shopping, wine. The breakfast was excellent!

Fabulous hotel, great staff. Superb location

Fabulous stay at Hotel Alessi in early September. Desenzano has a good mix of beautiful views, lively entertainment and rest and relaxation.
4.3
Just off the square near lots of restaurants & a 5 min walk to the ferry boats around the lake. There are 3 different restaurants all good especially the courtyard restaurant, there are tables on the cobbled street, it's very quaint & quirky. Our room overlooked the street which could be a little noisy but the shutters kept this to a minimum, there was a huge round bed & jacuzzi bath in the room, the only downside was the shower/ bathroom was small.

We had a great week at hotel alessi!
The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were very comfortable. The hotel is just off the main square close to bars and restaurants but when you are in the actual room you cannot hear anything which was nice! Would definitely recommend to friends and family !
4.3
The room we had was a nice size, with good bathroom, but the bed was solid, and pillows not comfy at all!
Location was great, so close to all restaurants and bars and shops (although from a personal point my girlfriend and I wouldnt go back to Desenzarno del Garda purely because there wasn't much going on for us). We dont like shopping much so never visited the shops, and unfortunately we found most of the food everywhere disappointing, and more importnantly rude. Every waiter and waitress were so rude, and their english was minimal. Very tough to ask for simple things like 'butter' or 'onions' etc. If it rains, there isnt much to do at all.
On the plus side this hotel was close to the station (took us about 15mins to walk/ short taxi) and from the station we could take trains to venice, to verona, and milan - BUT - yes, yet another but... the train system is terrible !! if an 11:54am train turns up on platform 2 which is meant to go to milan turns up at 11:54 at platform 2... you assume its your train. NO! it takes us the other way... on a fast train (there was rarely ever any electronic boards on the platforms which told you what train it was or where it was going. No one spoke english around us to ask.
This type of thing happened 3 times - We were sent the wrong was 3 times!

Room was adequately equipped though the wifi was so slow. The room was very clean but the decor is a bit tired. The air conditioning was very good and slept very well even though the room was yards from all the activities happening in the main square. Breakfast was basic but acceptable. Choice of muesli, cornflakes, yoghurts, pastries, cheese, ham, scrambled egg, bacon and sausages. Tea and coffee was served by the waitress who was friendly. Would have rated the breakfast higher if a better quality sausage was used rather than the tinned frankfurter type. The staff on the desk were always willing to help and very friendly
4.3
the hotel is perfect, great location, wonderful service, every thing was just perfect,
4.3
A beautiful town on the shore of Lake Garda, well positioned for the boats and the train station to explore the area.

We stayed for 9 days in June at this hotel. It is an ideal base for a budget hotel, clean, comfortable and welcoming and centrally located for all the Desenzano offers. Our room with a/c was large with comfortable king bed , chair and dressing table, shelves and walk-in wardrobe and additional hanging wardrobe . Great to have fridge without further charge and safe. The bathroom was ok but shower is a little cramped but you soon get used to it. Location can be noisy on a few nights especially as we were there during World Cup. However double glazing windows cut out all town noise if you don't mind hum of a/c. We were offered welcoming drink. Breakfast is self serve with breads, rolls, meats, jam, cereals, eggs, bacon, sausages fruit and juices.pity we seldom met same guests from day to day as most seem to stay for just one or two nights. Welcome drink provided and staff pleasant but would have been nice to have been provided with sample menus for restaurant and info on resort etc. A small discount for restaurant would be beneficial as we tried many others before settling on their 'Meal of the day' offer which at e15 was brilliant in comparisons to many other town restaurants. Overall an enjoyable stay providing you are like us being out for 8 hours each day. Location is ideal and suggest you try the buses rather than rely on ferries as much cheaper. Station only 20 mins walk downhill to hotel but uphill return. Ensure you take Regional trains ( much cheaper) but they always run late!!

everyone at the hotel were very helpful and made our stay very good

This great little hotel is very close to Desenzano's main square but still secluded. Bruno, his wife and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Free aperitivos on the first evening were so good we went back several other nights; the food in their two restaurants was excellent as was the wine. Pity Bruno broke his accordion before the end of our holiday but good to know he has spares!
4.3
Friendly staff, great atmosphere and very reasonable price.

The hotel is in an excellent location. The town itself is beautiful and the hotel is up a small street just off the main piazza with restaurants, bars and a BEAUTIFUL view. It is a 1 minute walk from the front of the lake which itself is stunning.
The hotel is huge but has a homely feel, mainly due to the staff. As we spoke extremely limited Italian, we were really grateful that almost all the staff spoke very good English and made us feel very welcome as a result.
The room had everything that we needed, although the decor was a little dated (but this is simply taste, and we did book last minute!). It was very clean and well maintained, new towels and cleaning every day.
Breakfast served from 7-10am with a buffet style- a little bit of everything you would want, continental style.
