This hotel is a destination in itself! Showering inside an optical illusion is pretty awesome. Breakfast was fabulous, our favorite breakfast of the fourteen hotels we have stayed at.

If you have visited a Hundertwasser building before, then here, you get what you expect. Quirky ceramics, curviness and accessible greenery. Our room was comfortable and quiet although at the front of the hotel - helped maybe by the section of tramline in the street being closed. We only stayed for 2 nights and didn't have breakfast there, as there are plenty local bakeries close by. It is central and very convenient for walking round the sights of Magdeburg. It suited us very well.

A nice stay in the artHotel Magdeburg in a room with a balcony. I like that building and several ideas from Hundertwasser were taken into the rooms. A good breakfast, it had all I want. You can walk from there to the Elbe river or to the city center easily.

Nice spacious room.. was clean and had lots of room.. My complaint would only be that indid not understand how the night entey worked.. The guy at desk told menthey leave at a certain hour and i would have to use a side entry if coming back past that hour.. I never could find it.. So i made sure i got back to room before they left.. That said i did not get to enjoy as much of the night life i had hoped to.. The property itself tho was very nice

Outstanding building, living in a design artwork! Very comfortable room, also convenient parking garage. Breakfast was very good (although the space is quite tiny, so you need to book in advance). Walking distance to most attractions. Highly recommended for Magdeburg!

The location in the city centre was perfect. It was fascinating to stay a couple of nights inside a POI in an uniquely structured and large room. The hotel only occupies a tiny part on the first floor of Hunderwasser's building. The quality is not above the 3 stars. The service in fact wasn't good, the staff was at times even rude, so we didn't really feel welcome. We'll definately not return to this hotel.

Magdeburg is perhaps not the most vibrant place in Germany, but artHotel Magdeburg and the Grüne Zitadelle are the exception making a stay more than worth your while! It's a gem - we enjoyed our stay very much!

very loud, tiny room, expensive for what it is. Staff was unwilling to change my room even though I came early. Uncomfortable room altogether. A bathroom so small one could hardly move around.

A really fun surprise to walk up to and into this hotel - especially the bathroom tile work and colors; they really wake you up in the morning as soon as you walk in. Very clean and comfortable. Setting of the hotel within this architectural wonder is a treat. Highly recommend.

Based in the Green Citadel is has shops/cafes etc. within the complex, but is also on a busy shopping street with several malls and shopping complexes nearby. The central location of the hotel means it is very near to the Cathedral, Monastrary/Art Museum, Town Hall and the many churches, parks and other sights of city are not too far away.I had a single room, which was just the right size for one person. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly at all times. Overall I had an amazing stay here and would definitely stay here again. Id thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying Magdeburg.

Very well located hotel, in the middle of the city. Interesting structure (artistic :) ) with lots of different restaurants nearby. Breakfast is served directly in the guest room, by communicating personal preferences to the staff at the desk. Another plus is the free sauna, great to relax after a stressful day at work. Recommended

I was greeted by John and he was wonderful. The hotel was beautiful the terrace, the balconies, all wonderful. Each room was adorned and decorated tastefully and artistically, and breakfast was delivered in room! I have only good things to say, and would stay again without hesitation.

from check in to check out, we had a lovely stay - complimentaty drinks in the evening, fascinating layout of the hotel and the rooms, comfortsble beds and a superb breakfast, brought to the room on not one but two trolleys. We'd thoroughly recommend the hotel to others. Glad we chose to book a parking space in the hotel car park when we booked, both because the hotel's spaces would otherwise have been full and also because I wouldn't have been entirely comfortable leaving the car, full of luggage, on the street.
