The gardens have been stuled beautiful during the years it s so magical and peaceful, the food amazing

This was one of my best stays in Guatemala. It has a special charm which made it really memorable. The rooms do not have air conditioning but that was okay, it got cold at night and we got a nice breeze to fill the room when leaving the balcony windows open.
The amenities great! My family enjoyed the flower garden and bird sanctuary. The restaurant food excellent!
My only recommendation is to the managers. I encourage you to say hello when walking by your guests and anyone staying here in the future, if you hear a noise that sounds like gunshots it's likely fireworks.

I recommend to extend pool schedule from 6am. It is kind of incovenient to use the pool and restautant at the same time.

Hotel Atitlan is by far one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The landscape and grounds of the hotel are like heaven on Earth. Our room was spacious and comfortable. There is no AC or refrigerator, though. It didn't get too hot at night but was hotter than I am used to. The restaurant at the hotel is pricy but the food is good. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay.

Beautiful location, loved the walk through the gardens and to the water and boat ramp. View was AMAZING!

I liked the view. But there was no water, coffee or tea. There are so many dirty birds around dining table. The price of meal was terrible comparing to quality.

It was nice.

Everything was good except the dinner was very bad experience service was bad, food overpriced and not good for that price , customer service was very bad

Liked: garden and landscape, lake view, staff with the exception of the reception lady who gave us wrong information about the rooms. Did not like having caged birds, does not go with the beautiful place and seems cruel for the pleasure of some tourists. Julio, a staff member was exceptionally helpful.

For reference - I stayed at this hotel May 5-9 2024
My initial experience checking in and looking at the property of Hotel Atitlan was extremely positive and I was excited about staying here. Unfortunately after getting settled in I was quite underwhelmed with the hotel and accommodations which I had expected to be 4 star as marketed. Below are the pros and cons of my experience.
Pros
- Professional staff and with broken English but easy enough to communicate
- Great view of the mountains and gardens
- Poos and hot tub were fun to hangout at
Cons
- NO WIFI IN ANY ROOM - for me, as I was here and also still trying to get some work done this was a major issue.
- Restaurant was overpriced and mediocre at best - better food can actually be found in town or we were going to other hotels that were less expensive but had a better menu and cook
- No A/C in any room - during the evening and morning this was fine but expect to be quite hot during the day
- Be ready to be price gouged - it's $150 to get a boat ride from the hotel - a 5 minute tuc tuc to the port and it's 35Q ($5). This also applies at the restaurant for food and drinks which I found incredibly expensive compared to what I was paying at the Porta in Antigua.
- No ATM on-site
Overall, I expected more. My recommendation is to shop around, there's better value and quality to be found in other resorts / hotels in the area.

The property and gardens are gorgeous! The only thing is there’s no AC in the rooms so it can get a little warm at night, other than that it’s great!

Huge corner room with large patio. The Hotel is like a museum with variety of antiques and art work. Nice buffet breakfast. Lovely dining area with pool and volcano view. Very relaxing wirh Bossa Nova type music.

Food was ok, jacuzzi was warm not hot, babies in diapers and children under 10 were playing in the jacuzzi .. how can you relax and enjoy the view like that. WiFi absolutely useless. We were totally dismissed when we complained. Expensive!
5.0
While the rooms are nice, but nothing exceptional (the beds are very tough, the bathrooms are basic), the location and the gardens of the hotel are breathtaking. It is stunning and gorgeous !
The restaurant of the hotel is good. The breakfast is also good…when a la carte (the buffet is disappointing).
