Check was smooth, staff was very polite. The hotel has seen better days and could use some serious renos. Not just cosmetically either. There was loose tiles, ripped carpet, terrible lighting, many dings on the walls throughout the hallways. The room was decenr, not necessarily clean but not dirty either. Many years of wear and tear and same issues as described throughout the hotel. The spa was in the same condition. Cluttered and in need of attention. This once was a 5 star hotel and now would be 2.5 to 3 at best. The evening staff was rude when askrd if they kept toothpaste or other forgotten toiletries behind the front desk, as many other hotels do. We were told to check the vending machine on the 3rd floor. The elevator made all kinds of noises and sounded like it could break down at any moment. The complimentary breakfast was very good.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was perfect except for the too hard and high pillows. It was impossible to get any deep sleep when your neck was in pain and struggling with the only pillows in the room. Other hotels have a choice of soft or firm piilows on the beds. These pillows were beyond firm.

Our check-in was very good, the staff welcomed us with smiles and made us feel very welcome. We had a good rest and the breakfast was very good as well.

Great beds, spacious bathroom, and very clean. I only had 2 minor problems. It was very dark in the entire hotel, hallways, restaurant, and room. The bulbs were super dim and it felt like it was nighttime everywhere. The other issue is that the blinds let in lots of light during the night.

It was all good and the included breakfast was better than continental. Choice of an omlette, potatoes and one slice of toast or 2 toast, 2 eggs and potatoes..meat costs extra . Coffee included. The only complaint is that I booked a bachelor suite which was advertised as being a huge 45 square metres (average room is 30) It was smaller than an average room..not big at all. It was good for the one night we stayed though but they should correct room size.

I was always happy with this hotel but this time. It was turned into a CREW HOTEL (meaning people that leave for work at 3 am). Doors slamming, voices in hallways, shower and people stomping above us. Not sure why the hotel people would put normal clientele on the same floor as the crew workers. On a positive side they have a free made to order breakfast starting at 5 am.

It was a good stay. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We didn’t have an issue with early check-in and late checkout. The elevator could do some upkeep. Basement parking was messy.

Check in was easy. Jaxx restaurant/lounge on site is usually pretty good place to eat. My room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The only negative was that the corridor was in poor shape. The floor was uneven in a couple places (possibly some water damage caused swelling of the underlay) and lighting could have been a bit brighter.

I have stayed here many times and although the paint is dated with a dark feel the place was still good because of the comfy beds, the spa, and the restaurant(Jaxx). This time I noticed the paint peeling on the side of the hotel(exterior), the dirty cream chairs in lobby, in the spa women’s bathroom they have left walls with just messy drywall and patch, and in the room dust hanging above shower in vent, and room paint all chipped. I hate to leave bad reviews but felt concerned showering or taking off my shoes. Sorry

We always choose to stay at Podollan. The bed is super comfortable and the shower is like getting a massage first thing in the morning. And having a freshly made breakfast of choice before heading out for the day is fantastic!

Very nice hotel, excellent staff, only issues were that the carpet badly needs to be steam cleaned in the room as it turned my feet black and felt dirty to walk on, had to wear shoes except when sleeping, and the AC didn't work at all, luckily there was a bit of a breeze through the windows. Aside from that, we would definitely stay there again next time we are in GP as its in a good location and fairly quiet!

It's our go to place to stay when in Grande Prairie. Wish they would bring back their breakfast buffet, it was great. Although they still offer complimentary breakfast, I can't complain! The night we stayed, I found out there is an active train track close by as I woke up to the ramble and horm of the train.

The staff were friendly, there were some unfriendly guests on our floor. Drunk and threatening. Cops were called on one of them. They spat on the floor, i ended up taking the stairs most days. The best hotel breakfast ive had! Made to order and awesome service.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times. I am not sure not sure why but every time I went outside there were several people drinking, OPENLY. I told the staff and not a thing was done about it. I'm a man but, if I was a woman I wouldn't feel safe walking to my car late at night or early in the morning

Stayed here multiple times over this past year. Staff have heavy Philippine accents and make it difficult to communicate the questions I had for them. Outside is dirty. Cigarette butts everywhere. At night the parking lot is "not their problem" so I continue to see people drinking openly in the parking lot and the staff don't care.
