Stay in a one bedroom apartment- nothing like the photos - avoid expensive for basic accommodation.

Easy checkin. Suites perfect size

The Galway Bay Seaview Apartments was perfect for our family of three staying three days in Galway. The location for us was perfect being only about a mile and a half from the downtown area. It was a quiet but also convenient location from the downtown area. The walking path all along the beach provided an option to walk into town easily or catch a taxi. The full kitchen made it convenient for bringing some meals or groceries back to the apartment and the balcony overlooking Galway bay was incredible!

Place had a great sea view, practically on the beach. Lots of restaurants to walk to

Really loved this place! It was perfect for me, my wife and two small kids. VERY roomy place that truly has a view right on the bay, and is in the middle of all the best stretch of Salthill. There is no staff on the premises but the housekeeping manager is very helpful during daytime hours.

Property was clean and well maintained. Spacious suite with a good amount of room for our family of four. Kitchen was well stocked with items for food prep. Dishwasher and laundry worked well. Easily walkable into Galway City. Beautiful location - view from our suite was lovely.
Emails were promptly responded to when I had questions before we arrived. Overall, very happy with our experience and would definitely stay again.

This was perfect for up to four adults. Two separate rooms with two separate bathrooms, nice kitchen, eating area, living room, and a little balcony overlooking the water. Dmitry What’s the manager, and was incredibly helpful on check-in and during our stay. Far enough from city center to miss the crowds, but plenty nearby, including the promenade. Will return!

Recently stayed here with my husband, infant son and my parents. We opted to stay in this apartment over a hotel so we could all be together in the one space. The location is amazing, views from the apartment are beautiful and the balcony to sit and have tea/coffee on a nice day was a great.
The space was clean, but very basic and a lot of street noise off the front bedroom. I would recommend it to friends / couples traveling who are just looking for a place to sleep. For us as a family while it was nice to all be together, I think I’d opt for a hotel in the future as this just wasn’t as comfortable and lacked on a few things (not enough towels, hot water, toilet paper for a group).

Sold as a 4 person but one 3 seater setter and one chair. Don't pay to sit squashed. Double glazing blown and condensation on windows. Loo would not flush the soil away. Very bare and uninviting. Traffic noise. Got upgraded to pent house. No noise but loos same. Extra seating but tired decor. TV control batteries flat, as they all are?Location excellent. View excellent.

Lovely comfortable apartment. Bus outside if you wanted to travel in to Galway city but we really enjoyed the walking back and forward in to town along the promenade

Two bathrooms and bedrooms, which is nice

The views are amazing and the ease at which you check in and out was a pleasure. The apt. Was lovely and gave you all the necessary amenities

We had the 2 bedroom apt. The amount of room in the apartment was great. Plenty of space for everything and everyone. The view was fantastic. The hot water ran out quickly, so make sure to plan ahead and hit the "Boost" ahead of time.
The kitchen was missing a few basic things for B&B. We were there for 4 nights. There was no paper towels, napkins, salt , pepper, sugar...ect. the basics so be ready if you plan on using kitchen. I will leave a picture of the condiments that were provided which was totally inadequate.
There was only 2 dishwasher pods. So we were limited on loading the dishwasher.
The cloth washer was great to have but you better figure out cycles or it will run for hours. The combo cycle (wash/dry)takes a long time and things were still wet when done. So, we washed first, removed half the wet load and dried the other half...it worked much better.
There were no extra blankets or pillows if needed.
The Balcony door was Not sealed well. So you would hear the whistle of the wind coming in the door. And of course it took the room longer to warm.
Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay, just be ready to get all you need if using kitchen.
The parking around the back of building was great and secure.

Accommodation on the sea front was lovely even though Storm Debi did her best to spoil it with high winds and flooding.
Salthill is a bustling suburb and has everything you need, pubs, restaurants and lovely views

Our family of three (two adults and one child) enjoyed our stay in the Galway Bay Sea View Apartments.
Our two-bedroom, top floor apartment was very clean and well stocked with basic kitchen supplies. The building itself was very quiet. The process for checking in was interesting. Instead of meeting a person, there is an automated check-in machine that dispenses keys, etc., in the lobby. The property management team did a great job of communicating the instructions for checking in, so it was really easy.
The location is very nice. You are a bit outside of town, but in the more "resort" area of Galway. There are plenty of nearby restaurants (including an Italian/Pizza place in the building itself that was good). There weren't any grocery stores within walking distance, but they were within a short drive and we took advantage of the kitchen and doing some of our meals "at home".
Our stay was pretty brief. This would have been a nice place for a longer stay.
Parking was in the back of the building. It seemed pretty full, but we were always able to find an open spot.
The beds and bedrooms were comfortable as was the living room area. The property and our apartment were in good repair and clean.
We would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Galway that's a bit different form staying in a hotel.

We were excited and eager to visit Galway and the view was pretty . However, we soon realized from all of our days and stays across Ireland, and having the most beautiful experience even when hiccups occurred this location would be the pit of our trip. We had plans to wash our clothes and enjoy our trip with 1 less worry, yet, the washer would take our clothes and soil it, the door jammed, washed “our clothes” and was boiling our clothes, we communicated the issue and got a “received” , no offer to help. We figured it out eventually and washed at a local laundromat. (Please note this was not a user error, the machine was faulty and even when we took the clothes out it was doing random things and all lights were on, so clearly faulty) During our attempts to sleep, the sheets were clearly not washed and the other set, hard and scratchy, unbearable to sleep in, and the beds caused back aches (we are not older folks, so the beds were clearly bad).
Communication was non existent , and support was clearly not provided

Great location near the bay. Would happily return.

We stayed in one of the 1-bedroom suites here at Galway Bay Sea View. The room was horrible. Most of the suites in the apartment are two bedrooms and laid out properly. There is one 1-bedroom per floor and it is just extra space cobbled into a room. All spaces were odd shaped. Bathroom is tiny and triangular shaped. There is literally 1 inch clearance between toilet and bathroom door as it swings open. The sink is tucked away behind the door. In the odd shaped bedroom, the corner of the bed is no more than 8 inches clear from the armoire. The walls are stark and the floor are cold. There is nothing warm or charming about these rooms. To be fair, the owners of this old property have done a lot to make improvements (just lots more to do). The views of Galway Bay are fantastic and the location in Salthill is excellent. (the balcony is a steel plate underfoot and not welcoming. I had to fight with the door latch) They have good security, spaces are clean, hot water is fine, kitchen is fine, on property support is available. Check-in-out system worked perfectly. Bottom line "this place is improving, just has a way to go" . . don't order up the 1-bedroom suite.

great location but very spartan accommodation. not very homely but at least it was clean,

Checking in should have been straight forward but the machine was having difficulty scanning passports.
The location and view was fantastic. The apartment was a great size, very clean, great facilities and the bedroom and bathrooms fully stocked with pillows, towels, soaps etc.

This is our 3rd time staying in these apartments. Love the location. Apartment was spotless with plenty of amenities in the kitchen. Loved the ease of the automated check in procedure. Would thoroughly recommend staying here. To anyone travelling to Salthill for a holiday.

The apartment was clean, nicely furnished and equipped with everything we needed to cook our Christmas Day dinner. The dolce gusto coffee machine was a treat. The bed was very comfortable. The staff we met were very friendly and always busy cleaning. We didn’t use it, but families would probably find the washer dryer very useful. We had a great sea view and were conveniently located for all the Salthill bars, cinema and eateries. The stop for 401 buses into Galway city centre was just outside the main entrance, which meant we could also enjoy the bars in the Latin Quarter. We used the apartment as a base to visit Connemara and the Burren (some of the most beautiful scenery we’ve ever experienced). We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again (but would bring extra coat hangers and our own hair dryer).

Nice location. Extremely clean. The penthouse was very spacious with a nice view. Easy access to the beach and food. Mattresses were a bit worn out but the linens were fresh and we slept just fine.

Stunning views, very well located, parking excellent, very clean. Have been before and will hope to return in the future

We spent 3 nights here. The check in was a bit confusing. We hadn’t received proper info on how to check in and so there was a bit of a panic when we arrived. Eventually we figured it out. This could be fixed by having someone there to greet arriving guests. The apartment itself … it’s quite noisy from the street and even open concept hallway connecting the rooms. The doors within the apartment were all very squeaky and noisy, which proved to be challenging when staying with a toddler. Speaking of which, there were no kids channels available on the tv. There was one that was more for teenagers, but never at anytime a cartoon channel, which was very frustrating. Channels should be upgraded. Lastly, the look and feel of our apartment at least was very cold and institutional. There is no art, no design aspect- it’s all very plain and empty feeling.

Everything was great but Friday and I was trying to contact someone and no one was available until Monday after we had left.

Spend the extra and get a penthouse Apt. Beautiful view, spacious apt. Close to everything. Taxi up to the Latin Quarter will cost you about 10 Euro. Next trip to Ireland will just stay here for a week and call it good.

Wonderful location with a view of the water. Lots of pubs, cafes, restaurants within walking distance. Free parking on site. Very spacious apartment.

Apartment was spacious, clean , well situated for amenities, apartment 34 was located at the end of the corridor therefore quiet, better use could be made of the extensive balcony, garden loungers to relax in
2.0 / 10.0
Apartment was spacious and very clean. The view from the living room and main bedroom was amazing. Balcony was rather small and view was partly hidden by high mesh. Caretaker was quick to reply to any queries and was pleasant and helpful. Overall it was a pleasant stay. My main criticism would be the price- it was very costly for one week and it was just lucky the weather was reasonable. I would be very disappointed to pay that much money and endure a cold wet week- would be better spent abroad where weather would be guaranteed.

The check in process was pretty straightforward but it wasnt clear which room we were assigned. Luckily we ran into someone else who explained it to us (there were no staff onsite at the time we arrived) Otherwise, good place to stay

Long wait for check in. Machine difficult to operate. No WiFi in apt. No hot water in morning. Would not stay again.
2.0 / 10.0
Spacious Rooms, and great view. Shaver socket in the bathroom did not work, but other than that there was no issue. The check in time could be improved so you can check-in to your apartment sooner, especially as check out time is 10am!
2.0 / 10.0
No problem with cleanliness, however showing a little age. The apartment was against an irregular boundary wall that resulted in angular and jagged walls. The design did not adapt to the conditions. Very awkward even getting into the entrance door was squeezed. Poor communication. We went out for a short time early morning of departure day (8 am) and was locked out as keys were not working, jumping the gun apparently, about 20 minutes of uncertainty before it was resolved.
3.0 / 10.0
The apartments were very spacious and comfortable and clean and very central to all amenities

Lovely sea view! The place is clean. Check-in via the machine was straightforward enough. Staff is friendly and responsive when we requested additional supplies.
