This hotel is the worst.
We read the review so we kind of expected already that we needed to go to get a key at another hotel. Even though they should’ve informed us ahead… that’s still okay.
However, our room had only 1 set of towel. We called the hotel from our phone since the hotel’s phone didn’t seem to work. The reception name Franco is the rudest! Without saying sorry or anything he insisted that we NEED to come and pick it up at another hotel where we checked in. We kind of annoyed because it was already 11pm and we were super tired. He didn’t even bother to try to help or feel responsible for it. He sounded annoyed and then just HANG UP THE CALL!!!
Seriously, the rudest ever!! This’s not even our fault. The worst experience ever.

There was no soap in the room, luckily I had my own

Well.. what shall I say
Had to walk over 1.5km to & fro to pick my keys
Room was smelly.. it’s say tea & coffee in the room.. but none was there .. yes there were tea & coffee bags and sugar but no kettle
Took us ages to find the entrance ..
We were welcomed with tons of dirty laundry on the floor .. not a great view when you check in to your room ..
It wasn’t even near the Swiss quality of the hotels expected
Soo.. never again

Quiet location; weather was 28-30C so room was really hot - asked for fan and reception at Seminar Hotel found one and delivered it - improved a little but still really hot; mattress was too firm so difficult to sleep combined with heat; room and bathroom very small. Overall poor value for the cost.

No staff at this hotel, check-in is 500 ms away. The room serves the purpose of a one night stay near Zug. Clean, located on the main road.

We were on a short break to visit family, for our grand daughter's birthday. The Hotel Freihof is very conveniently positioned within about 6-7 minutes stroll from them. Altogether very good for us.

I was moved to the Seminar Hotel as the restaurant in the hotel friehof had shut down the day before I arrived. I was emailed regarding checking in at the other hotel which helped.

The hotel is excellent. The only drawback is that it had not its own receptionist. We hsd to check in another hotel nearby.

Great hotel for quiet overnight stay after long flight. Hotel is in countryside, so no dealing with city traffic, parking etc. Did not travel into Munich, so cannot comment if convienent.

Lovely hotel. A bit awkward because check in had to be done at another hotel. The day was very hot, over 30deg and the room also was very hot. No fan or air conditioning made it very uncomfortable. The windows here have two ways of opening which is fantastic, but we didn't know so nearly suffocated in the heat.

Automated hotel with no reception, Idea is to have you check in with no service to save cost. You must have hotel entry code and room code in order to enter. Also, you must have your parking ticket validated from the restaurant for 24 hours to avoid being charged. An excellent idea to visit the parent hotel first which is "Hotel Seminar" 5 minutes drive ahead on same road. Obtain Hotel entry code and your room code which unlocks your key. Good for passing by to spend a night.

We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon to find the hotel locked, with a note on the door to pick up the key at another hotel, nearly a kilometer away. Luckily we had a car, and also did not mind stretching our legs, but someone arriving by taxi would not have been happy. There was no staff at the hotel till the next morning. There is no elevator and our room was on the third floor. The room was spotless, but small, one side of the double bed was next to the wall, with no reading light. The hotel is situated on a main street, next to a parking lot and mall. No airconditioning, so we needed to keep the windows open for air at night. There was noise from cars and from people walking and talking.
Breakfast the next morning was reasonable, service was excellent.
For the price we paid (Swiss hotels are expensive), we were very disappointed,

We recently visited Unteraegeri for the first time.We found the Freihof hotel to be very pleasant, and well situated to enjoy the local facilities, including the lake & it's Lido. All the staff were very friendly & efficient. We have come away very happy after our short break, and are already looking forward to returning.

Nice clean hotel with helpful staff and value restaurant and bar. Nice outside area for summer. Free parking, which is an asset in Switzerland. On the edge of town but everywhere is in easy walking distance. No lift so perhaps not great for elderly or those with heavy bags. Internet only available in nearby partner hotel.

Room very small but nothing different than any other European hotel. Very friendly and accommodating but we could not get internet to work and they couldn't seem to help us.
